Default TITAN Factory Wrestling: The Dread Army

31 December 2015
In a dimly lit warehouse sits a beaten down former boxing ring with the word “TITAN” spray painted across the center. Over the last few years, countless men have had their bodies broken down inside this ring with only a lucky few having the privilege of being rebuilt as Titans.
Inside the ring a small group of eager young men stand around a large man in a grey sweatsuit. Dread, “the father of Titans”, is teaching a class to his students.

“Listen up, because this is probably the most important block of instruction you’re going to get as a wrestling student. Protecting your fellow wrestlers in the ring is each and everyone of your responsibility! I will be damned if I sign off on an unsafe motherf***er to go out there and put someone else’s career in Jeopardy because they’re too lazy or f***in stupid to take care of their buddy!”

He was tired...he’d been tired all week but he had to get everything ready. He knew his guys would probably rather be out at the bar or home with family on New Year’s Eve, hell he wouldn’t mind having a few and watching the ball drop but Rise of the TITANS III was tomorrow night. This would be the first show broadcast on the web. A million things could go wrong. The feed could drop, the announcers could have no chemistry, his boys could underperform due to nerves...but this was a necessary step. He needed to get their names out there, it was crucial to their success. They couldn’t work at the Factory forever. They needed to get seen and move on. That was the point of this whole operation. All of this was wearing him down. Sure he could let someone else handle the training, Druss had been doing a great job assisting and with the book but tomorrow was important.

“Three of you will be debuting tomorrow night. Gold, Flesh, Fear. Minor roles, I wasn’t sure if I was going to use you this month, which is why it’s short notice. See Druss after class so he can go over what you’ll be doing tomorrow. Don’t embarrass me!”
“Yes coach!”

He used their ring names to encourage them to incorporate the character into themselves. Immerse themselves into their persona. A method he had learned in training many years ago and carried over to his own students.
As class ended, the mammoth legend walked to his truck. He’d have to force himself to sleep. Tomorrow, it was sink and swim time for the TITANS.

Titan Factory Wrestling: RISE OF THE TITANS III

We open to a shot of the crowd. It’s a packed house as about 1000 fans are in the TITAN Coliseum tonight.

Rob L Misjovsky & Miles Wakefield

RLM: Welcome ladies and gentleman, to Rise of the TITANS III! Coming to you live from the TITAN Coliseum, for the first. time. ever. via webcast on the official TITAN Factory Sharetube channel! I’m Rob Misjovsky alongside my broadcast partner tonight, Miles Wakefield! And we have an explosive night of action for you tonight, don’t we Miles?
MW: That’s right Rob! Tonigh’ in the Main Event, The Silencer defends his TITAN Factory Championship against "The Minnesota Logger", Lumber Jackson!
RLM: That’s sure to be a hard hitting matchup between the two powerhouses! Also tonight in our semi-Main Event, “Killer” Carl Clarkson has challenged “The American Warrior” Justice Jolson to a Texas Street Fight!
MW: Clarkson is fixin to beat the brakes off that facepainted muscle head Rob! I wouldn’t even show up if I were Jolson! Cuz Carlson is comin for his head!
RLM: Things began to heat up between Jolson and Clarkson at last months Winter Warzone when Jolson eliminated Carlson during the Christmas Cup Battle Royal!
MW: He snuck him from behin’ like a coward Rob and now he’s gonna get what’s comin to him!
RLM: Also tonight, we have The Anti-Americans defending their Tag Team titles against The Patriot Act! Thoughts on this contest Miles?
MW: I am conflicted on this one Rob! I love America as much as the next Texan but who the hell picked these two to represent us?
RLM: How about the matchup between J3, Jimmy Jolt Jr and Tyrus Omega?
MW: Omega is a talented athlete and Jr is a bum! I would think the outcome would be obvious here Rob!
RLM: I wouldn’t count Jolt out just yet Miles, he’s a fighter and a man of the people!
MW: He looks like the only thing he’s been fighting is a sandwich!
RLM: ok Miles. Well let’s get ready for our first match of the night! “The Immovable Object” Rampart is issuing his 5 Count Open Challenge!

Quote:
Rampart 5 Count Open Challenge

The giant marches to the ring to the cheers of the crowd! He poses for a few seconds before taking the mic
R: Who will face me? Who is man? I will put you down for 5!
*Soft music plays in the arena and a handsome young man in a golden robe saunters to the ring with a gorgeous young woman on his arm as a camera man follows them catching shots as they stop to pose*

-Rating: 6
RLM: This is Gorgeous Gold! A recent graduate of the TITAN Factory, I’m told he is a swimsuit model in his native Australia!
MW: ya know, I used to be a model myself Rob. Maybe I can give him some pointers after the show.
RLM: I’m sure you were Miles. Let’s see if the kid can beat the giant!

Quote:

Rampart vs Gorgeous Gold

5 Count Open Challenge

Rampart and Gold stand off in the ring. Gold makes the first move trying to grapple the big man to no avail. Rampart levels Gold with a big chop and then applies the Tongan Death Grip until Gold loses consciousness! Placing his large boot on Golds chest, the referee begins his five count! Gold does not answer!
Winner: Rampart!
-Rating: 32
Quote:
Rampart stands over Golds lifeless body posing for the crowd! The sound of drums beats throughout the arena!
A savage looking man storms from the back and charges the ring! The wild man backs Rampart away and begins to howl and scream as he stands over the fallen Gold. Rampart exits the ring slowly, keeping his eyes on the stranger in the ring. The beastly grappler, still heaving with adrenaline, slings Gold over his shoulder and walks to the back.
-Rating: 31
RLM: That was...ummmm...interesting?
MW: who the heck was that Rob?!
RLM: I’m not sure Miles! I’ll have to do some research! Now it’s time for our exhibition match between Jimmy Jolt Jr and Tyrus Omega!

*The sound of a thunder bolt fills the arena followed by generic guitar riffs. J3 makes his entrance high giving fans as he heads to the ring. He doesn’t wait long before sparks and smoke begin shooting up from the entryway where Tyrus omegas is standing! Tyrus bounces to the ring stopping to threaten fans who try and touch him as he passes.

Quote:

Jimmy Jolt Jr vs Tyrus Omega
Exhibition Match: 15 Minute Time Limit

Omega and Jolt circle each other. Jolt goes for the tie up but Omega slips out of the way. He continues to dance around the slower J3, throwing occasional jabs just to poke at the fan favorite. Jolt eventually catches Omega with a hard right that floors him and begins to build an offense. Following a missed corner splash, Omega takes control of the match. Jolt tries to rally a comeback but never quite manages to regain control. In the end Tyrus puts him down with the Omega Ending!
Winner: Tyrus Omega
-Rating: 34

RLM: What a match! Tyrus Omega is impressive Miles!
MW: Tyrus Omega is a high caliber athlete Rob! He dominated that bum!
RLM: Come on, it was a competitive back and forth match Miles!
MW: and Tyrus Omega won! Jimmy Johns there had no business even wastin’ Omega’s time by getting in the ring wit him!
RLM: Well tonight Tyrus Omega was the better man. But right now we’re ready for our Tag Team Title match as The Anti-Americans defend their TITAN Factory Tag Team Championships against The Patriot Act!

*”The Great” Kinjite and “The Syrian Sledgehammer” George Awad make their way to the ring waving tattered, upside down American Flags as a chorus of boos and trash rains down on them! As the enter the ring they snap the flag poles in half and chuck them at the crowd! Inciting a near riotous level of anger from fans in attendance!

MW: That’s jus’ plain ol’ disrespectful Rob! If I were twenty years younger I’d go in there and shut their mouths right now!
RLM: 20 years younger and about a foot taller, eh Miles?
MW: Easy Rob, I don’t gotta be either of those things to whoop you.

*The Patriot Act make their way to the ring next, waving proper American Flags! The crowd comes to their feet to cheer for the American heroes!

RLM: The crowd is coming unglued here for the Patriot Act!
MW: These yokels would cheer anybody in a pair of red white and blue tights, Rob!

Quote:

The Patriot Act vs The Anti-Americans (c)
TITAN Factory Tag Team Championship Match

Paul Power and George Awad start things off with a test of strength. They seem easily matched at first before Power starts to over power Awad and he breaks contact. Awad then goes for the tie up and gets tossed back to his corner by Power. A stunned Awad tags in Kinjite as Power tags in Bob Jones.
Jones and Kinjite stand across the ring from each other. Kinjite assumes a traditional sumo stance before charging Jones. Kinjite sumo chops Jones into the ropes before eating a right hook from Jones followed by a series of punches pushing Kinjite back to his corner. Frustrated, Kinjite jams his thumb into the eye of Jones and then tags in Awad as the referee attempts to admonish him.
The match goes back and forth with Awad and Kinjite Isolating Jones from Power until a mistake allows Power to get the hot tag! Power clears the ring and starts a USA chant. As he stomps around the ring Kinjite slides back in with a steel chair and cracks it across Power’s back! The referee calls for the bell
Winners: The Patriot Act by Disqualification
Still Champions: The Anti-Americans
Rating: 40

After the bell, Jones rushes the ring to attempt to help Power but eats a chair shot as well. Awad joins the fray with a chair of his own and the Anti Americans beat down the Patriot Act. They pose over their broken bodies as the crowd shows their extreme disapproval
Rating: 13
RLM: That was despicable! Even for them!
MW: They’re anti-America Rob, they don’t hold themselves to our superior moral standards! And I told ya we needed somebody better to represent American interests in this match! Now the whole world is laughing at us!
RLM: This wasn’t about country! This was about cowardice! The Patriot Act has the titles within their reach and the Anti-Americans couldn’t stand the thought of losing to a better team!
MW: Calm down Rob. Don’t go writing checks with your mouth that your ass can’t cash...
RLM: I’ll try to compose myself here as we prepare for our semi main event. I’m told that Justice Jolson has accepted Clarkson’s challenge to a street fight.
MW: Good for him! Dumb as all hell but good for him finally finding his pair! I’m gonna enjoy watching Clarkson knock him down a peg or two.

*The St. Paul fight anthem plays throughout the Arena as “Killer” Carl Clarkson makes his way to the ring, wielding a hockey stick. He is followed shortly after by the sounds of an electric guitar shrieking as the American Warrior Justice Jolson come sprinting from the back to the ring! Jolson leaps into the ring and hits the ropes! Clarkson doesn’t wait for the bell and strikes Jolson in the back with his hockey stick!

MW: I told you Clarkson was dangerous! There’s a reason the call him “Killer”, Rob!
RLW: Well Clarkson certainly has gained himself an upper hand in this match!

Quote:

"American Warrior" Justice Jolson vs "Killer" Carl Clarkson
Texas Street Fight

Clarkson continues to strike Jolson with the stick before using it to choke Jolson in a modified camel clutch. The referee goes to count Jolson out but he catches his hand before the three and begins to rally back, fighting out of Clarkson’s clutches. A brutal brawl ensues, with Jolson using his power advantage and Clarkson using his viciousness! Jolson sets up a spear in the corner through a table but Clarkson slips away at the last moment sending Jolson careening through the fable and into the turnbuckle. Clarkson capitalizes with the Decapitator for the win!
Winner: “Killer” Carl Clarkson
Rating: 23

RLM: What an upset! Clarkson picks up a major victory tonight!
MW: Upset nothin! That boy earned that victory! I told ya he was comin to fight!
RLM: Impressive nonetheless Miles! And without further ado we head into our main event! Although bear in mind we have yet to see the Dread Army tonight despite “The Father of Titans” promising their appearance.
MW: Why does everything you say sound so soft, Rob?
RLM: I’m not sure I know what you mean, Miles?
MW: THAT! Just like that! That’s what I’m talkin about!
RLM: Can we just head into our main event now Miles?
MW: *under his breath* Be my guest ya wuss...

Quote:

*A song that sounds vaguely reminiscent of the Canadian national anthem plays with chainsaw noises running in the background as the Loggers make their way to the ring. They have microphones in their hands.
Clause Reed: I’ll tell ya, cousin! This crowd sure doesn’t look like they appreciate us, eh? In fact these buncha hosers look like they’re just here till the bar opens down the street!
Lumber Jackson: you got that right Clause! See what y’all don’t know is that you’re about to witness history tonight! As I, Lumber Jackson, unseat that whiny little soldier boy, The Silencer, and take my rightful place atop the TITAN Factory!
CR: Ya, you tell em Cousin! And a win for you is a win for me cuz I’ll be right there with ya, eh!
LJ: Right with me Clause! We’re going straight to the top! skies the limit! Next stop the tag titles! Then, once we’ve dominated, well leave this little rink-a-dink factory and go repeat the process elsewhere!
CR: Ya! Maybe in Canada, eh?
LJ: Well I don’t know about all that...uhhh I just kinda figured we stay this side of the border and all...uhhh well I suppose you never know....

*Gun Fire sounds in the arena signaling the arrival of The Silencer. He moves to the ring, as Lumber Jackson ditches his mic and Clause slides out of the ring!
Rating: 36

RLM: The Silencer looks like he's all business tonight Miles! Lumber Jackson is going to have a pretty big hill to climb if he plans on taking home the TITAN Factory Championship tonight!
MW: If I'm Lumber Jackson right about now, I'd start lookin for a way to end this as quickly as possible 'cause Silencer looks like he's in the mood to torture somebody!

Quote:

The Silencer (c) vs Lumber Jackson
TITAN Factory Championship Match
Silencer and Jackson charge hard from the get go. Clause Reed attempts the get involved in the match and eats a Missile Dropkick for his troubles. While Jackson builds some good offense, Silencer manages to remain consistently in control. Silencer eventually puts Jackson down for the three following a Drop Zone.
Winner: The Silencer
Rating: 40
RLM: What a match! Wow! The Silencer retains his championship tonight in convincing fashion after a brutal matchup with Lumber Jackson! This guy is the real deal folks!
MW: I’ll give him that, I thought the big lumberjack mighta whooped up on him but nope! Silencer prevailed and he sure silenced me tonight.
RLM: Really? Nothing negative to say here Miles?
MW: I don’t like his ring gear.
RLM: You’re ridiculous
MW: Get a pair of actual wrestlin’ tights and boots, that’s all I’m sayin Rob!

Quote:
*Suddenly the lights go down and smoke begins to billow. Silencer who was still celebrating his victory in the ring turns to face the entrance ramp.

“The Father of Titans” Dread, enters the arena, flanked by Druss and The Horror...The Dread Army is here!
He grabs the mike and begins to let his deep, gravelly voice fill the Coliseum.
Dread: Very good Silencer...very good. But don’t get too comfortable holding that title! It doesn’t belong to you! Next month, at Love and Tartarus...Druss will reclaim his title! But tonight...tonight Silencer....its time to face your FEAR!

*Dread begins and ominous laugh as the light go out. When they return a large, masked monster of a man stands behind The Silencer. Silencer turns around just in time to get decimated by a clothesline from the monster. He picks up silencer and looks to Dread who waves his hand in an approving fashion. Like that, Silencer is hoisted up and devastated with a Tombstone Piledriver. This monster Dread referred to as FEAR, stands over Silencer’s lifeless body as Rise of the Titans goes off the air*

Dread settled into his chair at the center of the locker room, he wiped his face and removed his contacts as the boys began to congregate around him. He would soon be sending his trainees out to break down the ring but for now he wanted to address the whole locker room. Praise in public. A motto he tried to live by

Settle down boys and gather around. Get a few words of wisdom from an old man. First I wanna thank Rob and Miles for coming in and helping us out with the commentary. These guys made y’all look like stars tonight the way they sold you!

The locker room claps heavily for Miles Wakefield and Rob L Misjovsky.
Next, I want you to look at Silencer and Jackson. These two tore the house down tonight! That’s how you gotta be every time! Focused and dedicated. If you believe it, the fans believe it. Good work. I hope those of you still in training were paying attention

Another round of applause, Silencer has a strong presence of leadership and seems to command the respect of the locker room. He is their champion after all, they should respect him. Not to mention all Silencer has done for the company. Jackson had been their almost as long...the title match was a sort of thank you from Dread, recognition for all his hard work.

Then we have our new debuts...it was short notice but you guys went out there and killed it! I’m proud of you. More importantly the fans are gonna want to see you back based on the comments I’m readin on social media. I think Gold’s pretty ass just doubled our female followers in a single appearance

Laughter erupts as the guys clap Gold on the back and make jokes at his expense. Dread raises his hand to silence the rowdy young wrestlers.
But seriously, good work to everyone tonight. I won’t lie...I was just as, if not more nervous than any of you about tonight but we pulled it off! Now we’re moving towards Love and Tartarus in February. It’s the night before Valentine’s Day so that gives us about a month and a half to prepare. We’re gonna work more this month on playing to cameras along with the crowd and driving home points to an audience watching from home. Druss and I will work on the card for February tomorrow. Enjoy your night, your off tomorrow. So go have a good time, Wednesday we hit it hard again. Trainees go breakdown.
Yes Coach!

Silencer walked out to his car, the TITAN Factory Title in one hand and his gear bag in the other. He placed his gear in the back and sat down behind the wheel, taking a few moments to decompress. It wasn’t a far drive to his apartment but he needed a moment to get his head together. His time as a green beret had given him an ability to shut out pain and discomfort in the moment but now he could feel his body ache. He was proud to hold the title, to be THE guy. It showed how much faith his trainer had in him but he needed something more. He had been plugging away in the TITAN Factory for the past four years doing whatever he could to achieve that next level. He’d heard the rumors, read the online reports, SWF was interested, USPW was interested, even CGC up north was rumored to have an eye on him but if any of that was true he sure wished someone would let him know. The truth of the matter was he hadn’t had any contact from another company. Sure he’d done a show or two here and there for other companies but never anything consistent outside of what he was doing here for Dread. He appreciated the work and the training but he needed to move on. He wasn’t getting any younger and he couldn’t work in the TITAN Factory forever...he craved a grander future than that.

Quote:
Thank you everyone who predicted, I really enjoyed our first show and hopefully you did too! I plan to put out many more as I’m having a lot of fun with this.
As you’ve just seen I intend to bounce the narrative around to give insight into the different characters of the TITAN Factory. Please let me know how I’m doing so far in the comments. Criticism is as welcome as praise and I hope you all continue to read and enjoy! I’ll get a card out for Love and Tartarus soon. I’m still working on it and the graphics. Thanks for reading!
