Roy Edison is backstage with his chosen referee, TFW’s Jackie Goldstein. “Pathetic!” he yells. “Clark, you are pathetic!” Edison continues. He stares straight ahead wildly moving his eyes. “I see you here, holding your arm, trying to get back in the ring with me. Yeah, last time, you “won”. But what have you lost? A month in the ring? A month’s pay? Food on your table?” Edison smirks.

Well, tonight, there are no DQs. You’re going into a real fight in the ring. And, I guarantee, Clark, this will be the last fight you participate in!” Edison jeers.

Barry Griffin vs. Masked Patriot

Masked Patriot faces off against the British veteran Barry Griffin. Griffin jumps the bell! He immediately begins to work over the leg. He lays several stiff stomps onto the Masked Patriot. The British submission specialist wrenches at the fan favorite. On instinct alone, the Masked Patriot manages to grab the ropes. Masked Patriot defeats Barry Griffin by pinfall after hitting him with the Moonsault!

Raphael sits at a table near the bleachers. He has Korean barbecue grill set set up on a table. Taking some chopsticks, he puts the meat in his mouth, after gently dunking it in the sauce.

"Raphael, don't get an upset stomach"! Heather says. "It might make you lose"! Heather worries.

"Heather, I need my protein, my strength, in this battle against Steadyfast, in the cage. I need my muscle to push him around those close quarters." Raphael informs.

"Here, Heather, you try this food." Raphael has fixed a plate for Heather, a little sandwich with greens and sauce. He displays remarkable dexterity to pick the loaf up, carry it a foot or more with chopsticks and force it into Heather's mouth! Heather smiles as sauce falls down her chin.

"Raphie, I'm sure that you'll be fine." Heather says. The two embrace.

Paul Steadyfast vs. Raphael
Cage Match

Paul Steadyfast goes up against Raphael in the Cage. Raphael and Steadyfast both look for an opening. Raphael begins an exchange with Steadyfast, the two locking arms, with Steadyfast landing a stiff kick to Raphael’s mid-section. Raphael falls back to the ropes and launches at Steadyfast, who sweeps his leg!

Steadyfast works over Raphael on the floor. He lands several kicks and gets into the clinch, laying on several hard punches to Raphael. Raphael manages to reverse the hold. He grabs Steadyfast and attempts a take down. Steadyfast slams a knee below the belt! Raphael winces, and falls to the floor. Steadyfast, eager to finish off his opponent, charges towards Raphael. Raphael rolls through his attack and nails him with a dropkick!

Raphael charges at Steadyfast. Paul launches him into the cage walls with a back body drop! “Bai Bai” is in big trouble! Paul slams Raphael into the cage wall, slamming knees, elbows and eventually throwing “Bai Bai” face first into the wall! Bai Bai busts wide open, blood seeping onto the mat.

Paul Steadyfast grabs Raphael. Slingshot Suplex! Steadyfast covers his rival for the pinfall.

Paul Steadyfast defeats Raphael by pinfall after nailing "Bai Bai" with the Slingshot Suplex!

Clark is in the nearby warehouse adjacent to the ring. Heather Halo, his sister, stands by him. “Clark, are you sure that you want to go through with this? For what’s he’s done, and what he’s promised to do, we could get him arrested.” Heather continues.

Clark looks at her. He sighs. “Yes, I’m certain. I’m sure.” Clark says. His sister looks at the tape covering his hurt arm. Clark puts his head down and moves towards the ring.

Clark” his sister says, anxiously “I’ll be at ringside. The EMTs are on call. You can do this.” Heather says.

Clark Alexander vs. Roy Edison
Cage Match

Clark Alexander enters the ring. Roy Edison walks slowly down the entranceway, before entering the cage.

Rain begins to fall on the cage. Referee Jackie Goldstein checks both fighters.

He instructs Clark to unfurl the bandages on his arm. Clark does so. Jackie signals that he can re-apply them. Clark, needing help, gets his sister to wind up the bandages.

Both fighters look up at the rickety cage, wonder how much abuse it can take.

Edison jumps the bell and spears Alexander, sending him into the ringpost. He lands several stiff knees to his opponent. He pulls Alexander atop the turnbuckle – Alexander counters with a hurricanrana to the mat! With his right arm, he pulls himself up by the ropes. Edison, furious, charges at him. Superkick! Clark slams his foot into Edison, sending him into the turnbuckle.

Low blow! Edison grabs Alexander’s hurt arm and twists it. He gets up on the ropes, and with agility, walks along the top rope, before wrenching his opponent's arm to the ground. He continues to work over his opponent’s left arm. Alexander winces in pain. He then throws Alexander across the ring with a hip toss. Edison charges for the lariat – Alexander counters with the back elbow drop! He throws a standing dropkick to Edison! Alexander slams him with a flying forearm! He hops onto the middle rope and hits a hurricanrana to Edison!

Alexander struggles up to his feet. Edison charges – he hits a spear to Alexander! Edison goes into the clinch, landing several hard punches to Alexander, before driving his knee into his opponent’s left arm! He pulls the limp combatant up – knee strike to the gut – before wrenching the hurt arm and applying the arm bar! Alexander struggles for several seconds before tapping out!

After several seconds, Edison is declared the victor by submission. Edison relents – before driving his knee into Clark Alexander’s arm again! Medics rush the ring to prevent more damage. Edison laughs at his fallen opponent.

Roy Edison defeats Clark Alexander after forcing him to submit with the Arm Bar!

The lights are off in the beachside neighborhood. A shadow creeps ever closer to the window. He wrenches at the locked pane, breaks the lock.

It must be past 1 A.M. in the morning. He lights a cigarette, burns it for a second, before entering.

He can't see. A light shines brightly in his eyes.

"Listen, here, Clark," the man says "I've had enough." He turns off the flashlight. Obstructing the path to the bed, he glares at him.

Clark, Jr. has yet to get off the ground. He looks up at his father.

"Look" says Clark Alexander, Sr. "Look, Clark, I know about the activities. The record. See this?" He says, gesturing towards his son "see this?"

Clark, Jr. stares at the Marijuana directly in front of his face. He inhales deeply.

"See?" Senior repeats. "This ain't good. And the wrong people? They see this... you'll be in trouble. Permanently." Clark Sr. laughs at Clark Jr. for a minute, before glaring towards him.

"What you going to do about it?" Clark asks. Father used to smoke, he thinks, but not out loud.

That would be bad.

"Well. I'll tell you what. You show up, in that gym, at the facility, every day." Clark holds up the bag. "Forget about it. I'll forget about that. And school." He says. "You can drop out." Clark adds.

"What about mother?" he says.

"I'll explain it mother, Clark." Clark, Sr. tells his son. "But you're going to do things my way. It's going to be work. Something I haven't yet taught you." Clark Sr. says.

"And I apologize for not teaching you that most important lesson, Son." Clark, Sr. leaves the room.

Soon afterwards, Jr. turns the lights out.

In the baggage claim area, the Alexander family gathers, with their guest.

Clark Junior looks completely disinterested. He's itching, nervous.

Mrs. Alexander looks worried.

"Clark, I think he's on something." She says, nudging her husband. Clark looks at her, rolls his eyes.

"Kid's fine, just needs a cigarette. I've been working him hard in the ring. Probably a bit tired. Irritable." He says, condescendingly.

Faith moves forward. She's joshing with her friend.

"Stop, Casey, don't take the last gummy bear!" Faith laughs.

"But it's my turn! I let you have my last goji berry!" her friend giggles. She puts an arm around their back, and rubs it.

Casey looks a bit uncomfortable.

"Hey, Mr. Clark, we should stay hydrated before we head out to the big meeting." Clark rolls his eyes. He seems upset at Faith's "plus one."

Mrs. Alexander lights up. "The juiceboxes! Casey, thanks for reminding me! Let me get them from the luggage!"

Casey and Faith sit up on the luggage claim isle. Both sip from the juice box. Content.

Clark grabs a map from the luggage. He begins to schematically discuss how to move the five from the airport to the hotel room.

Britney Hollywood sets up some foldable chairs in the ring. Out comes Nicholas Lopez, the COTT Champion, with the belt thrown over his shoulder.

"Hola, C-Z-C-W! Hoy es un dia Magnifico"! Lopez loudly bellows. The crowd goes crazy.

"Hoy, I will take out the "El Lobo Loco", George Wolfe. He may be mad, but he isn't the best in Los Estados Unitos..."

George Wolfe runs down to the ring. He swipes at Lopez, who tumbles backwards. He takes the microphone, and folds the folding chair. George puts his foot on the chair.

"Oh, yes, you may believe I'm a bit mental, but I like to get the job done in the ring" George says. He puts the microphone real close to Lopez. "I intend to do so tonight."

COTT Heavyweight Title Match: Lopez [c] vs. Wolfe

From the bell, George jumps, lunging at his opponent. He spears Lopez and knocks him into the turnbuckle. He lands several headbutts onto his opponent, picking up the limp Lopez and hitting a superplex from the top rope! George picks himself up by the second rope, goes for a moonsault....

No! Lopez rolls out of the way! George lands painfully on the mat! Lopez is in control. He uses his speed, even in old age, to evade the hulking British resident. He hits him with a dropkick, ducks under a clothesline, a second dropkick, a flying forearm, slides through a lariat, and hits a beautiful standing rana! He transitions to a pin....

1...2...

George throws Lopez off! The two competitors slow down. George uses his power to impose powerful holds on Lopez. He wrenches the defending champion for several seconds. Lopez manages to overcome and reverse many, sometimes breaking out.

Britney Hollywood appears at ringside. What's she doing out here?

Lopez, briefly, is distracted. George throws him into the bottom right ring post, across the ring, with a hip toss and a superkick! He furiously strikes at Lopez for several seconds. He puts Lopez on the turnbuckle -- no, he's hoisting him on his shoulders, for the powerbomb -- George struggles to maintain footing as he moves backwards into center ring.

Britney Hollywood exposes the top turnbuckle!

Goerge holds onto Lopez, and with a head strike to the midsection, prevents the champion from breaking the hold. Wolfe then sends Lopez directly into the exposed turnbuckle with an Electric Chair Suplex! George covers the champion... 1...2...3...

George Wolfe defeats Nicholas Lopez by pinfall with an Electric Chair Suplex! George Wolfe wins the COTT World Heavyweight Championship!

I may have lost, but I rest easy with my fifteen correct guesses out of 23 attempts! I need to get that percentage higher in the future.

Two man stare in a basement, at a flickering tape.

"Clark" says Doppu. "Clark."

Clark has nodded off for a bit.

"Clark!" Doppu, loud but purposeful, wakes up his tired partner. It must have been four or five in the morning, the plane had just arrived from San Diego.

"Doppu! Be quiet man. Kids are sleeping." Clark says. He's clearly annoyed.

"Look at this guy, he can go." Doppu points towards the screen. The wrestler, a touch above a junior in weight, completes some eye-popping maneuvers. "We have to bring him in." Doppu looks at Clark.

"Yeah. I mean, kid's got talent. But let's be real. Everyone in the wrestling world knows him already." Clark continues condescendingly. "He's stale. His gimmick'll get over like a traffic jam on the L.A. Freeway."

"Listen to me. Put him under a mask if you need to. But sign him. He's going to be huge." Doppu says.

"You really want me to waste money on someone who's already had their shot?" Clark continues "When we haven't made a profit in months?"

"Clark!" A frustrated Doppu slams the table. Clark's wife, Mrs. Alexander, can be heard sighing deeply. Footsteps eminate from the bedroom.

"Clark! Either you sign him, or I quit!" Doppu points at Clark. "I didn't come down to Honolulu to carry your bags!"

Clark takes a look at the fuzzy footage. The wrestler has just finished the match. The referee raises his left hand in the air.

"Alright. I'll get in touch. But he's going to come in under a mask. And you'll be responsible for handling him, Doppu." Clark continues.

"His identity better not get out." Clark threatens. Doppu looks at him.

"Okay, Mr. Alexander, you have yourself a deal." Doppu says. The two partners shake hands amicably.

You were close! There will be more chances to win in the future.

The next prediction contest will last through Sanctuary IV through Sanctuary VI.
The winner gets to choose custom merch for me to create. I will provide three wrestlers to choose from.

Clark has his head in his hands. Distraught. Doppu comes over, unsympathetic.

"Doppu, how's the training going? New guy getting the lumps in?"

Doppu smirks.

"He's a quick study." He responds. He moves his hand on the bench, and sits down. Must fills the small backstage area.

"You know, you should have mentioned that before." Clark has to think. "That he never worked strong style yet." Clark says.

"As you know, we all make mistakes, Clark." Doppu looks at Clark. "Who outside of Japan works a pure style anyway?" Doppu continues.

"We do. You work for a Puro company." Clark's in a bad mood. He's unhappy working in the basement again.

"Look, I spoke with the company from New York. They're sending the ring equipment to get the Sanctuary back up and running within two months." Doppu looks on. "In the meantime, keep your head up. We're getting less overhead here, anyway." Doppu looks towards Clark.

"Things take time to get to the islands. We'll be fine." Doppu comforts Clark for several minutes.
