These two are definitely going to be at it early on. I'm sure the team will have their hands full deciding a victor.

The halls in Jerry's Basement are covered in dew. The musty, humid area reeks with stale concessions and sweat.

In the dressing room, an unhappy Doppo Ibu confronts a flustered road agent. The cracked glass distorts the reflection in the mirrors.

"Frank," Doppo says to the road agent. Frank "Fabulous" Roberts turns around.

"Frank," continues the referee "don't do that again."

"Don't.. do what?" Frank asks, nervous. He's sweating.

"That. Book the match, that way. Not real enough. Don't make it a habit." Doppo continues, but Frank remains confused.

"That. Steadyfast, okay, he can take guys out the ring. We don't do that here. Brawling outside." Doppo reprimands Frank politely.

Frank looks relieved. "Look, I know I have the reputation for hardcore brawling, but that wasn't my call. Clark wanted that spot for the fans, not me." Frank tells Doppo.

"That's good. Okay." Doppo says.

Two personnel approach Doppo.

"Doppo, did we call alright?" Dane asks. The veteran referee intimidates the lead announcer. "Did we?" repeats Dane.

"Good announcers do not ask. Brevity."

Sue Danes, nervously, attempts to ask a question. Doppo cuts her off mid-sentence.

"Do not worry. Think about boxing match, not about television show. You will get there." Doppo replies hastily. He seems annoyed with the question.

"Thank you" says Dane. Dane and Sue both bow. Doppo appreciates the gesture.

Doppo Ibu and Clark Alexander arrive at The Sanctuary, just outside Holualoa, near Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park.

Clark looks proud at his creation.

"Doppo," he says "here, we see the future of wrestling on the Islands."

Doppo looks at him doubtfully.

"Doppo," Clark continues "You don't like it?"

Doppo stares at Clark, at the arena, and back at Clark.

"Clark, it's how you say, amateurish," he tells the promoter. "Clark, I agree this is beautiful, but it doesn't match the theme. It looks like a makeshift theater. Charming, but doesn't scream combat".

Several wooden bleachers in a horseshoe shape surround the center. Outside, the wind and leaves circle around the open area. Grass covers the ground.

Clark struggles to answer the critique. He stares blankly at Doppo.

"Doppo, I understand your critique, but you haven't wrestled here on the Islands. Here, this is what we call wrestling." Clark defensively responds.

"Clark, where is the ring?" Doppo says.

"We're having it towed in center-circle. I have the truck scheduled tonight".

Doppo surveys the bleachers, with makeshift Hale-style Pili thatched roofing, exposed to the open air. He's skeptical.

"Doppo, we've got a matching roof for the ring in case of rain." Clark says.

"Look, tonight, we're going to light this place up. I need to know if you're okay with that major angle -- it means taking a bump." Clark says.

"I don't mind the bump. I don't agree with the angle. Doesn't work with the theme. But you know Hawaii, Clark, and that will make the crowd pop." Ibu responds. He's clearly a bit unhappy with the proposition.

Clark nods in approval. "I'm not going to make a habit of it."

[Cue title sequence, theme music]

Clark Alexander vs. Roy Edison
Could go either way but with Roy winning the four way, I would personally put Clark over here to keep things more even.

Preliminaries:
Paul Steadyfast vs. Raphael
I donīt recall if Raphael is on the same popularity level than the other three main guys (and Iīm too lazy to check right now) but my gut feeling says heīs slighly lower level and that alongside being the guy who was pinned last month puts him as number four guy in my books. That said, pretty sure Raphael is the youngest of the four main eventers too so Iīd assume he gets his chance at the spotlight at some point.

Cal Sanders vs. Seth Whitehead
Both guys are solid in my books but Seth is way younger and could thus be more useful member in the long run.

Barry Sanders, El Ladron & Kenny Stuart vs. Kirk Drury, Lobo Blanco & Thomas Morgan
I assume Barry Sanders is a typo and should be Griffin? I could see this one going either way (as pretty much any other match on this card) but feel that Ladronīs side has slighly more going on.

Remmy Honeyman vs. Sunburst
Sunburst won his first match while Remmy lost so going with that for now.

Clark Alexander vs. Roy Edison

With the idea of Doppo taking a bump makes me think Edison capitalises on this chance.

Paul Steadyfast vs. Raphael

Cal Sanders vs. Seth Whitehead

Barry Griffin, El Ladron & Kenny Stuart vs. Kirk Drury, Lobo Blanco & Thomas Morgan

Remmy Honeyman vs. Sunburst

Sunburst keeps rolling

Missed the first show but have been watching. Looking forward to island style wrestling

Clark Alexander vs. Roy Edison
With the sounds of the bump my guess is Roy beats the boss

Preliminaries:
Paul Steadyfast vs. Raphael
This Raphael got screen time with Heather in an interview so we will go with him

Cal Sanders vs. Seth Whitehead

Barry Griffin, El Ladron & Kenny Stuart vs. Kirk Drury, Lobo Blanco & Thomas Morgan
Kind of would have been fun with Barry Sanders here, but since it’s not I’ll take the other team

Remmy Honeyman vs. Sunburst

L-Ring Presents Sanctuary I
Live From Jerry's Basement
January 12, 2016
220 in Attendance

Broadcast Team:

Dane O'Hara | Sue Danes

Roy Edison and Clark Alexander face off in the makeshift ring. Dark clouds begin to gather over the arena. Edison jumps the bell by a split second and spears Alexander down. He lands several stiff elbows to Alexander before lifting himself up with the second rope and landing a knee strike to the left arm! He wrenches the arm for several seconds before Alexander manages to get to the ropes, forcing a break.

Doppo resets the match. Edison charges at Alexander again, who leapfrogs him, and lands a dropkick to Edison! He picks up Edison. Edison rakes the eyes! Alexander stumbles to the mat. Roy takes the advantage. He lands several vicious strikes to Alexander, before using the hip toss to put Clark in the corner. He then executes several knee strikes to the left arm, before working over the limb.

Rain begins to fall on The Sanctuary. Both fighters are drenched, but it's not bad enough to demand cover.

Clark backs up, and attempts a glancing blow, but Alexander rolls through! Clark goes for another drop kick. He sends Edison into the ring post. Clark pulls himself up with the right arm. He lands several punches to Edison. He backs up -- and lands a Superkick to Edison's head! Clark backs up again, goes for the corner splash. Roy Edison knees him in the groin! Low blow!

Clark wrenches in pain. Roy applies the arm bar. Clark, with his right hand, manages to grab the rope. The referee calls for a rope break. Edison won't budge! He keeps wrenching the arm!

Doppo stops the match! He declares Alexander the winner by disqualification!

Clark Alexander defeats Roy Edison by DQ when Roy refused to release the Arm Bar!

Roy Edison stands tall. Doppo warns him not to continue his attack. Roy lands several stiff blows to Alexander, targeting his left arm. Doppo gets between the two.

Doppo wipes the rainwater from his brow. The mat has several small puddles on it.

Roy looks at the crowd. He picks up Doppo -- and hits a vicious powerbomb to the referee! Clark gets up, Roy kicks him, and throws him to the outside!

"Gimme a microphone!" Roy yells.

Dane O'Hara, the announcer, slides his microphone into the ring. Roy stares him down. He picks up the microphone.

"Clark, Doppo, I'm going to wrestle -- but I only compete under my rules! You want to face me -- the most dangerous man in Hawaii -- you're gonna do it on my terms!" Roy says. He drops the microphone.

Clark Alexander, nervous, sits in the waiting room. He's anxious.

"Mr. Alexander, you can come back now." The secretary says. Alexander leaves his seat.

He moves through the pale hallways with colorful carpet floors. The nurse slowly leads him down the office labyrinth.

Behind the open door, Doppo and what can be assumed is his family practitioner. Clark's family, that is.

"I'm telling you Clark, both you guys should be more careful." Doppo looks at him. He's annoyed.

"Doppo is a large man, near 50 years old, his body won't hold up forever. However, this appears to just be a sprain. He'll get better." The doctor says.

"Next time, be a bit more careful. Consider yourselves lucky, both of you." he continues. "For the next couple weeks, Doppo should try to take it easy. No more powerbombs."

Doppo nods.

"Alright, you guys stay safe. Talk to the receptionist on your way out to schedule the follow-up." the Doctor lectures Clark.

"Thank you, doctor." Clark says. He escorts Doppo out from the office and the two take off in his car.

Clark Alexander pulls up to the small estate outside Hilo. Doppo is riding shotgun.

Clark stops for a second. He stops the car, parking it. His phone rings.

The ringtone blares loudly through the phone speaker.

Doppo stares at him, appalled. He reaches for the handle, hoping to exit.

"Hold on," Clark says "let me take this call." Clark picks up the phone.

"Hello." The man says "is this Mr. Alexander?"

Sam Keith, acting COTT President, former star and sub-par communicator

Clark can't help but blush. He's starstruck.

"Hold on, I think we have a bad connection." the man loudly says, annoyed.

"No, no, Mr. Keith! This is Clark. You remember me? We used to work together in TCW, with Tommy!" Clark exclaims, loudly.

Doppo puts his hands over his ears to mute the loud, excited voice. His gesture goes unnoticed.

"Ah, yes, Clark. The boys and I have been working on our first Supershow, Grapplecade. We're meeting in San Diego, where CZCW is located, for 2016".

"Thinking about putting that COTT Heavyweight Title Strap around my waist?" Clark asks.

Sam isn't sure if this is serious or a poor joke. "Actually, you aren't booked, but since you run Hawaii, we'd figure to invite you. Usually, we'd write it off, but the COTT has never made a whole lot of mon--" Sam continues, but gets cut off.

"Yes, Mr. Keith! I'll be there, any time you need me"! Clark exclaims.

"Good. The show is scheduled for June, Week 2, 2016. It's being held over the weekend." Sam Keith tells Clark. "Look forward to meeting you and the kids." Mr. Keith continues.

"I'll keep in touch through e-mail, Clark. I have your address in the directory." Mr. Keith hangs up.

Clark seems elated.

"Clark, don't you have prior engagements that weekend?" Doppo asks, worried. He's sweltering in the hot car.

"It'll work out," Clark repeats, loudly, assuredly "It'll work out."

El Ladron vs. Seth Whitehead vs. Sunburst
All three guys have two wins so far so the question pretty much is who you would want to push the most. My answer to that is Seth Whitehead so I go with him but I could see anyone winning this one.

Preliminaries:
Lobo Blanco vs. Paul Steadyfast
Only one of these guys are main eventer.

Mark Smart vs. Raphael
Although Raphael did seem to drop into midcard right now, he did beat Steadyfast on last show and seems to get more angle time than anyone else so I figure heīs still considered as one of the top guys.

Arthur Dexter Bradley, Remmy Honeyman and Kenny Stuart vs. Bradley Blaze, Roger Monteiro and Thomas Morgan
Both sides have one midcarder and two jobbers so Blaze being the new guys is what makes me pick his team as Remmy have had two losses so far so seems that he isnīt getting a push while Blaze is still unknown.

Masked Patriot vs. Crimson Ghost
Both are new guys but one look on roster page tells me that Patriot is the favorite here, at least until Ghost gains some popularity.
