Success!!! By upping the penalty to miss weight to 50% I finally got a fighter to have negative morale as he failed to make weight twice.

Default The Days Before P.C.

It's 2003, I'm playing as PRIDE in a PRIDE vs UFC Game...

And the AI UFC just aired a PPV headlined by Frank Mir and Kevin Randleman called "UFC 46: Black And White"... Talk about subtly.

I'm in shock right now. Like actual shock.

So in WMMA4 Matthew Dean always ran rough shot over the middleweight division in GAMMA so this year I decided to put him in a tournament for his title at GAMMA 50 and he won.

Not just did he win but he won in the first round after gassing during a three round fight against Braulio Moura.

Matthew Dean is just seemingly unstoppable.

Lamont Banner is 22-0 13-0 for me in GAMMA all knockouts

He is the featherweight and lightweight champion
Notable Victories include Luiz Machado, Philip Ziski(twice), Helio and Sukarno(first and only man to beat him)

His next fight will be either defending the lightweight belt vs Julio Regueiro, vs the winner of the interim featherweight belt or vs Will Kane for the welterweight belt.

His popularity is high level international and is 100 percent in every region except Australia is 92.7 percent

6 featherweight title defense

GAMMA HALL OF FAME

No I did not edit his stats

1 lightweight title defense

I swear my lighter weightclasses at GAMMA are all wonky, first had Blood winning the Welterweight title over Regueiro with a TKO, then defending against Silva. Helio won the lightweight title and beat Lermontov on a Leg Kick TKO. Now, in the COTT finale, Lobo Laguera KO'd Ziskie for the Featherweight Title (mind you, as well, Laguera was a +800 underdog).

Last still my biggest shock, I can think of, so far in 5. Ziskie had controlled Lobo pretty well for the first two rounds, then uppercut and bam! Lobo wins.

After playing around for a couple of years, my SENSHI promotion held its first openweight Grand Prix in late-2004 and early-2005.

My quarter-final brackets were ravaged by a mixture of retirements (Roberto Aldez), signings (Junior Patinkin) and injuries - what was initially meant to be Shinashi vs. Patinkin became Shinashi vs. Teshigahara following Patinkin's departure, then Gilchrist vs. Teshigahara and ultimately Chua vs. Teshigahara through a series of injuries.

There were a couple of upsets in the finals, as Leonardo da Costa submitted French heavyweight Terron Cabal with a rear naked choke, before Tadao Miyazaki finished his fourth opponent with a rear naked choke of his own. Miyazaki is easily my biggest star now, with a record of 7-0 and victories over the likes of Patinkin, Steven and Otto Cascudo. He took home US$100,000 for his victory in the Grand Prix final.

I've tried to emulate the early days of PRIDE - I haven't had any title fights yet, and apart from this openweight tournament the overwhelming majority of my fights have been heavyweight and middleweight bouts. I've enticed Kunimichi Kikuchi out of retirement, but am yet to find an appropriate opponent for his SENSHI debut in 2005.

Going forward, I will probably retain the four PRIDE weight divisions, continuing with an emphasis on the heavier weights as I build up to national. I do wish that ALPHA-1 had adopted the PRIDE weight divisions instead of the North American set, but hopefully SENSHI can carry it forward.

Just finished my first year with my new company. We won show of the year and main event of the year for a show that was main-evented by Philip Ziskie Vs Kenji Akita.

WEFF somehow won company of the year despite me constantly raiding them for talent however.

Ok Lamont Banner is now a 3 division world champion all at once after winning the welterweight title.

How has Julio Regueiro fared in all of your saves?
I'm nearing the end of 03' in my GAMMA save and when the game starts, he's at 25-1. After 4 fights and 2 years in my save he's now 25-5. Lost 4 in a row and for a 2 time Middleweight Champion, with solid stats and who's only 33, I don't know how to help the guy.

He's a star who deserves to be in title contention but he's gotta earn it and has so far failed. Unless I feed him a can, I'm considering releasing him. GAMMA 51, he lost the title to Manuel Silva in only 1:47 of round 1. He followed that up with a 1st round TKO loss to Darin Blood 7 months later.
6 months after that he lost via UD to Jack Humphreys and then recently, OCT 03' he was KO'd by Bobby Brubaker for the second time in his career.
Admittedly, some tough opposition there but to lose 4 in a row is a big slide.

Other main update is James Foster avenged his KO loss to Rav Kapur and bounced back 12 months later to regain the title. He spent most of the first 4 rounds getting knocked about and simply surviving then the tide turned and with dirty ground and pound, he won the match via TKO with only 1 second of the 4th round left. If the ref hadn't called it, I think Kapur would still be champ. Kapur then immediately bounced back TKO'ing Aleksander Ivanov to keep him out of title contention... for now.

He hasn't fought in my promotion, but as at October 2006 in my SENSHI game, Regueiro is still fighting in GAMMA and has a record of 28-6. He's essentially gone win-loss-win-loss since the game started, aside from back-to-back losses to Manuel Silva and Nathan Chambers in 2003-04. He was just KOed by Gus Fitzpatrick in the first round, so the cliff could be coming very quickly.

Damn it! I can't believe this. I'm in my third year as my own created company and Rav Kapur just tore his freakin' ACL! He's going to be gone for a year! He's my heavyweight champion and he was set to defend it against Murilo Satinho in the main event of my next PPV.

I guess we're having a Heavyweight Title Grand Prix at the PPV after this one.
