Default Read if you have issues with Avast anti-virus software and GDS games
Never had this problem before until a computer crash recently.

Any ideas?

Yeah on second glance it was because of an Avast database update 14 minutes ago.

No. And since it's requiring full re-installs I'm being fairly liberal with the amount of times I actually try it.

I've turned File Shield off temporarily to play the games.

It's moving Adam's games to the chest, it's outright deleting the EXEs for Brian's games.

Marios and I just ran a test and it seemed to work OK. But he did recommend using this link if you are having troubles:

How do I re-install WMMA3 without buying it again? Avast seems to have wiped out the file

Find the latest patch, download that and after extracting the files from the download, copy & paste the patch into the WMMA folder on the hard drive. I had to do it this morning with TEW.

My TEW 2013 Exe just got deleted. What gives? Will instaling the patch work?

Yup, same thing happened to me this morning (after I posted about not having the same problem. )

It's a blessing because I needed to install the patch anyways.

Not a blessing for me, since it still didn't solve the problem.

Edit: Avast isn't even allowing me to dowload the patch. Is there actually a way to play this game without turning my anti-virus off?

Adding the exe file as an exception is a quick and easy way of fixing the problem. Worked for me anyways.
