Thanks for the comments everyone!

Well Dunn is a favorite of mine, but will they get the number one contendership over the more experienced Heavenly Bodies? My answer, a solid maybe.

I'm hoping for some feedback on the Wrestling Observer segment. If you liked it, then I'll continue it as something to post the day after a show.

(OOC: I'm currently at home after an ingrown toenail surgery. Fun!)

Consider this a 24 hour warning for predictions!

Default WWF July 1994, Week Two

WWF Monday Night RAW, July 1994, Week Two
Attendance: 15,000 at MA Boston Garden
Commentary Team: Jim Ross, Randy Savage, & Vince McMahon

Quote:

The RAW intro plays and sirens blare all around the Boston Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, home of tonight's episode of Monday Night RAW! We immediately head in-ring where Bret Hart is already waiting. Bret starts to talk about what he did on the most recent episode of WWF Superstars, where he accepted Owen's challenge for a tag team match at In Your House: Canadian Stampede. Bret says that he has talked to a couple of people and none of them have responded. Bret says that he still has hope that someone will stand up with him against Owen's recent spell of abrasiveness.

Speaking of Owen, his music hits and he walks down to the ring. Owen says this is typical Bret, always playing a sob story, he says that enough is enough and it's time for a change. Bret says that he is sick and tired of Owen acting like a complete dummy recently and he just wants his old brother back. Owen says that those days are behind him and that Bret should just accept it. Owen says that he has word from WWF President Jack Tunney that Bret will face his former tag team partner, Jim Neidhart in tonight's main event. Owen sarcastically wishes Bret the best of luck before he leaves.

Quote:
VS
Diesel was part of the beat down on Razor Ramon last week and is the current WWF Intercontinental Champion. Diesel absolutely manhandles Horowitz throughout the match and showcases his strength perfectly. The match ends when Diesel lifts Horowitz up and hits him with the Jacknife Powerbomb and gets the three.
WINNER: Diesel

Quote:

Shawn Michaels comes down to the ring after the match and grabs a microphone. Michaels says that he and Diesel showed Razor last week that they are nothing to mess with. Michaels says that he wants a match with Razor at In Your House: Canadian Stampede to show once and for all why Razor is just a flash in the pan. Michaels says that he will sweeten the deal, if Razor beats him, he will get a WWF Intercontinental Championship match at Summerslam! Michaels & Diesel leave as we go to commercial.

Number One Contender's Match
VS VS VS
Men on a Mission vs The Smoking Gunns vs Well Dunn vs The Heavenly Bodies
We're back for some RAW action with a match that will determine what team gets a WWF Tag Team Championship match at In Your House: Canadian Stampede. Men On A Mission recently beat The Heavenly Bodies, The Smoking Gunns recently beat George South & Tony DeVito, & Well Dunn defeated The Rock 'n' Roll Express last week on RAW. This match is held under elimination rules, if one member of a team is eliminated, the whole team is eliminated. Mabel and Tom Prichard start off the match and have a very decent showdown that culminates with Mabel hitting the Running Splash on Prichard and getting the three. Billy Gunn then gets in the match and starts immediately going after Mabel. Mabel & Billy put on a good show and entertain the fans. The finish between these two comes when Mabel attempts a Big Splash, but Gunn moves out of the way! Gunn then rolls over the big man and gets the three! While Billy is celebrating the elimination, Steven Dunn runs into the ring and rolls him up for the three! Well Dunn are your new number one contenders to The Headshrinkers.
WINNERS: Well Dunn

Quote:

Alundra Blayze is walking backstage when she is attacked by Luna Vachon! Vachon grabs her and throws her into a storage container. Officials notice the attack and are able to separate the two women. Vachon yells at Blayze to step it up as we go to commercial.

Quote:
w/ VS
The Undertaker? w/ Ted DiBiase vs Koko B. Ware
Koko is a veteran of the wrestling business, wrestling all around the world. Meanwhile, The Undertaker? may or may not be the actual Undertaker, although Ted DiBiase claims he is. This match is not the best match, but the crowd is solidly behind Koko B. Ware and are solidly against The Undertaker?. Koko starts off the match by going after the legs of Undertaker? trying to take the big man down. Undertaker? retaliates with an uppercut right to the head of Koko. Undertaker? then grabs Koko and goes to the top rope and hits the Old School! What follows is a very one-sided match in favor of The Undertaker?. The match ends when The Undertaker? picks Koko up and hits a Tombstone Piledriver and pins him for the three.
WINNER: The Undertaker?

Quote:

Ted DiBiase & The Undertaker? are celebrating their victory post match when Ted grabs a microphone. Ted says this is what the real Undertaker is like and that with him nothing is impossible. Ted then starts to talk about Paul Bearer. He says that Paul should come out and say that his Undertaker is the real Undertaker, who is tired of being controlled by some fat funeral parlor manager.

This brings out Paul Bearer who says that if DiBiase wants the truth about The Undertaker, he should come on to the Funeral Parlor at In Your House: Canadian Stampede. DiBiase accepts the invitation and says that at In Your House, he will prove, once and for all, why his Undertaker is the actual Undertaker before maniacally laughing and leaving with The Undertaker?.

Quote:

RAW is back from commercial and Lex Luger is standing in the ring. Lex starts to talk about Tatanka, saying that he and Tatanka have been having some difficulties regarding Ted DiBiase recently. Before Lex can continue talking...

Tatanka comes down to the ring. Tatanka says he still wants to be friends with Lex, but these recent troubles with DiBiase has made that very hard. Lex proposes a solution, a match. Tatanka initially scoffs at that idea, but Lex is able to convince him to accept a match for In Your House: Canadian Stampede. They shake hands on it to end the segment.

Quote:
VS
Bret Hart vs Jim Neidhart
Bret is currently in the midst of feuding with his younger brother Owen Hart, while Jim is actually Owen's best friend/bodyguard. This match is actually a match between the two original members of the Hart Foundation, neat! This match is a great encounter and the fans are solidly behind Bret throughout the entire encounter. Jim starts off the match by charging after Bret, but Bret uses his intelligence and gets out of the way before he can hit him. Bret then starts working on the legs of Neidhart, obviously trying to set him up for the Sharpshooter. Jim is able to get back on his feet and starts to attack Bret with a series of clubbing blows and suplexes. This is a very back and fourth match if you haven't caught on by now. The finish comes when Neidhart attempts a German suplex on Bret and hits it! Neidhart goes for the pin, but only gets a two count. Suddenly, Owen Hart comes down to the ring to help Neidhart win this match. Neidhart lifts Bret up for another German near Owen. Owen tries to sucker punch Bret, but he ducks and he hits Jim instead! Bret dropkicks Owen off of the apron and then locks in the Sharpshooter on Neidhart! Neidhart can't last that long and taps out! Bret has just scored a key victory over a former tag team partner!
WINNER: Bret Hart

Quote:

Bret celebrates his victory over his former tag team partner with the fans until...

Jim & Owen come back to attack him! They throw him back into the ring and start attacking him. Jim throws Bret off the ropes and hits a Spinebuster! Owen then locks in the Sharpshooter on his older brother while screaming "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! I AM THE KING OF THE HARTS!" Officials have to separate them and Owen and Jim celebrate their dirty deed as RAW goes off the air.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter, July 1994, Week Two

By: Dave Meltzer

Quote:

The biggest news story this week is that WCW has been on a signing spree, signing names like: New Jack, a hardcore worker, Jimmy Garvin, a former member of The Fabulous Freebirds, Honky Tonk Man, a former WWF Intercontinental Champion, & "Playboy" Buddy Rose.
Quote:

Don't count WWF out though, they have signed three Japanese Joshi wrestlers who are starting as soon as after In Your House. They have also signed a tag team that will also start after In Your House.

In broadcasting news, WWF are now going be airing their events in Canada and Europe on Viewers Choice Canada & Viasat respectively.
Quote:

Davey Boy Smith just won the British Heavyweight Championship from Marty Jones at the most recent ASW event, so he may not be going to either WCW or WWF. Sources say that contracts are still on the table from each company.
Quote:

Tammy Sytch is expected to start with WWF as soon as the next Monday Night RAW tapings.
Quote:

El Hijo del Santo, son of the legendary El Santo, is leaving AAA and joining CMLL, their top competitor. This is huge news for the world of Lucha Libre as Santo is one of the most famous luchadores not just in Mexico, but all around the world.
Quote:
That is all for this week's edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. See you next week for some more news all around the world of professional wrestling.

Undertaker
Pierre/Kwang

Mystery partner will be...... Bob Backlund! I'm thinking Davey will sign eventually, but it sounds like things are being held up by WCW at the moment. In the interim, Bob will make a good substitute!
