FIGHTER SPOTLIGHT:

KINGS OF THE NORTH

Quote:
DAMIEN CORVIN
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 220 lbs
From: Belfast, Northern Ireland
Signature Move(s): Royal Mutilation / Jumping Cutter

BONESAW
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 200 lbs
From: Lisburn, Northern Ireland
Signature Move(s): Ulster Plantation / Blue Thunder Driver

DUNKAN DISORDERLY
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 222 lbs
From: Belfast, Northern Ireland
Signature Move(s): Ulster Plantation / Blue Thunder Driver
The Kings of the North have been rampaging through every wrestling company in Ireland over the last few years trying to make a name for themselves. Corvin, Bonesaw and Disorderly are loyal to the United Kingdom and believe that Ireland belongs to the crown and the Union, which as you would expect, rubs a lot of Irish fans the wrong way. The red gloves the trio wears are symbolic of the red hand of Ulster, the province they are so proud to be from. Disorderly is the most experienced member of the group, debuting all the way back in 1997 and is one of the biggest names in Irish wrestling. He was regarded as one of Prince Devitt's greatest rivals on the independent scene and in Ireland for a number of years, Prince Devitt vs Dunkan Disorderly was without doubt the big money match. In fact, Disorderly had a hand in training both Corvin and Bonesaw, and he has guided their careers from the day they started.

The Kings of the North have made names for themselves by beating people up, simple as, no nonsense about it. They pride themselves on walking in to a wrestling ring and simply beating their opponents to a bloody pulp. Everybody who has shared a ring with the Northern Irish trio could tell you from experience, the Kings of the North are nothing but big angry men with their minds set on one thing and one thing only; dominating professional wrestling.

"If anybody dares step foot to the Kings, it will be off with their heads! We have dominated every company we have wrestled in together, and Fight Academy Ireland will be no different. Bow down to the Kings of the North!"

FIGHTER SPOTLIGHT

Quote:
JOE HENDRY
Height: 6"2
Weight: 229 lbs
From: Edinburgh, Scotland
Signature Move(s): Freak of Nature / Fallaway Slam
The Local Hero has made a big name for himself on the UK independent scene in his short career which has spanned only a mere 3 years. This largely because of his unique charisma and his custom entrance music which he uses to mock his opponents. Hendry came from an amateur wrestling background, has a black belt in judo and has represented Scotland on numerous occasions. Hendry prides himself on being the Local Hero and on being a good example for the people in the audience and for the rest of the roster. In recent times he has tried to set Session Moth Martina on the straight and narrow and teach her a thing or two about manners. Will Hendry see the same success in FAI as he does everywhere he's went? Only time will tell.

BREAKING NEWS

Fight Academy Ireland owner, Conor McGregor, today called a press conference to announce the establishment of a network of small independent companies across the world named the International Wrestling Alliance. Also in attendance was the owner of PROGRESS Wrestling, Jim Smallman, and representatives from:
  • Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan
  • Fight Club Finland
  • Pro Wrestling Guerrilla
  • ATTACK! Pro Wrestling
  • New Generation Wrestling
  • All Japan Pro Wrestling
  • Fierce Females UK
  • Revolution Pro Wrestling
  • CHIKARA
  • Absolute Intense Wrestling
  • Pro-Wrestling EVE
  • Preston City Wrestling

McGregor and Smallman both talked about how they had held numerous discussions with each company personally to ensure each member was on the same page. McGregor stated that he wants to give talent another option outside of the WWE and believed that no company can take on such a global force like WWE on its own and so needs as many allies as it can get. It is believed that the companies will be free to trade workers with each other and will also see the debut of an IWA World Championship, where the champion will travel between companies, defending the title.

Location: Sammy D's Basement
Attendance: 21

The music of the GymNasties hits and the cult heroes emerge from behind the curtain to a loud cheer from the fans. Justy is carrying a microphone in his hand, but before he can start his shtick, the trio are blindsided by the Kings of the North. Bonesaw and Disorderly quickly deal with B Cool and Sammy D so that the Kings have a 3 on 1 advantage over Justy. Corvin throws Justy into the ring and grabs 3 chairs, throwing them in as he does so. The Kings stop to admire the chaos around the building with GymNasties splayed out all around the place. Bonesaw is the first to climb into the ring but is met with a chair shot to the back from Justy which brings the crowd to its feet! Justin is inviting the Kings into the ring but for the first time they appear to be second guessing themselves on the outside. The three men circle the ring and take up positions surrounding Justy. Dunkan attempts to get in to the ring and Justy launches at him with the chair, but Bonesaw and Corvin assault him from behind, Shape eventually falling to the numbers game. The Kings of the North beat down Justy for a few minutes before Corvin calls a referee down to the ring to start this first round match in the Gold Rush tournament.

Quote:
Gold Rush Tournament:
Damien Corvin vs Justin Shape:

Justy can barely get back to his feet, and as a matter of fact, can only stand when he is in the corner using the ropes for leverage. The referee asks if he is able to fight and Justy demands he rings the bell, which he does. The bell rings and Corvin launches himself at Justy with a vicious looking big boot, almost taking his head off. He pins Justy but to his shock and to the shock of the crowd, Justy kicks out at 2 and a half! The crowd are trying to rally behind Justy, chanting his name as he rises to his feet but he is quickly dropped with a Royal Mutilation, and Corvin covers him for the quick victory.
We go backstage to see 'The Local Hero' Joe Hendry making his final preparations for his tournament match with Eddie Dennis. Session Moth Martina walks in behind Hendry, wearing her leopard print pyjamas, and pats him on the bum which startles the Local Hero. Hendry sees what she is wearing and takes off his golden Local Hero jacket and puts it on her, telling her that they'll go clothes shopping tomorrow so she can look respectable.

Quote:
Gold Rush Tournament:
Eddie Dennis vs 'The Local Hero' Joe Hendry:

A decent showing from Dennis in his first match in Fight Academy Ireland, but it was clear who the better man was in this bout, as Hendry came out on top with a Freak of Nature after 8 minutes.
The Kings of the North are walking backstage when they bump in to Tyler Bate outside the locker room. Bonesaw and Tyler stare each other down as Corvin and Disorderly attempt to intimidate Tyler. Tyler simply smiles in their face and styles his mustache, angering the Kings of the North before walking off.

Quote:
Gold Rush Tournament:
Bonesaw vs Tyler Bate:

Tyler came straight out the gate on fire in his debut match here in Fight Academy Ireland, and he was received very well by the fans in attendance. A distraction from Disorderly allowed Bonesaw to take control of the bout early and he worked over Tyler's left leg to take away the base of Tyler's strength. Tyler however manages to overcome the onslaught, dropping Bonesaw with a Tyler Driver '97 to advance to the next round.
The Kings of the North are walking backstage, Bonesaw nursing his back after his hard fought battle with Tyler when suddenly they see something out of the corner of their eyes. Tucker is stretching against the wall ahead of his match with Jordan Devlin when he is jumped from behind by the Kings of the North. Disorderly throws him head first in to the concrete wall which bursts him open and there is soon blood everywhere. Bonesaw and Disorderly hits a 3D on Tucker on the concrete floor, knocking him unconscious. A crowd of referees break up the assault, but the damage is already done.

Gold Rush Tournament:
Jordan Devlin vs Tucker:

Devlin makes his way to the ring but when Tucker's music plays, there doesnt seem to be any sign of the Northern Irishman. Devlin demands the referee perform a 10 count and count Tucker out. The ref does as instructed and Devlin celebrates his victory early while the crowd hurls insults at Devlin.

Crowd Chants:
He's got the world on his head! He's got the whole world on his head!
Big head no bants! Big head no bants!
You're just a shit Finn Bálor!

The chants are winding Devlin up but he continues to talk trash to the crowd and eventually the ref reaches the 10 count and Devlin is declared the winner. Devlin takes the microphone from ringside.

Jordan Devlin:
Ya can chant, ya can boo, ya can hate it, ya can love it, but you are going to accept it! My name is Jordan Devlin and I am the best professional wrestler in Ireland! Tucker knows it, why do you think he didn't come out tonight? He's afraid, he's terrified because what's gonna happen if he gets in the ring with me. I beat Tucker fair and square, and I will beat anybody that is put in front of me!

Devlin celebrates his victory but it is interrupted as the music of his semi final opponent, Tyler Bate, hits and the crowd goes wild, much to the annoyance of Devlin. Tyler makes his way down to the ring and the two men stare each other down. Jordan backs away and leaves Tyler standing tall in the middle of the ring to close the show.

FAI 5: March Madness

Attendance: 21

The music of the Kings of the North blasts around the building as the three men who have terrorised Fight Academy Ireland in its first few shows make their way to the ring. The leader of the group, Damien Corvin, takes a microphone and calls for his music to be cut.

Damien Corvin:
It is my pleasure to announce that thanks to the Kings of the North, Mark Coffey and the "Ironman" Joe Coffey have both been sidelined for the next year. Joe, Mark, you had a good run lads but let that be a warning to anybody in the back! You may think that you're untouchable, you may think you are the best wrestler in the world, but there is only one outcome when you step to the Kings and it's off with your head! We will take each and every one of your favourites and one by one, they will bow down to the Kings of the North!

The trio hold their red glove covered hands in the air when they are suddenly jumped from behind by the GymNasties! Justy, Sammy and B. Cool were all taken out last week by the Kings before the match and it looks like they have revenge on their minds!

Quote:
Kings of the North (Bonesaw & Disorderly) vs The GymNasties (B. Cool & Sammy D):
The Nasties fought valiently in this bout and the crowd were behind them 100% of the way, however the sheer brute force of the Kings of the North were just too much for B. Cool and Sammy D. The Kings picked up the victory after delivering 3Ds to both men before Bonesaw covered B. Cool for the 1-2-3.
As the Kings are celebrating, the screen lights up with the image of two shadowy figures walking through a corridor, both wearing black trench coats. One appears to be a tall, slender looking man, whereas the other is a tall, wide brute of a man.

Honour.

Heart.

Respect.

Coming Soon.

The Kings of the North are standing in confusion in the ring as the house lights come back up. Disorderly laughs it off as they leave the ring.

Quote:
Dahlia Black vs Toni Storm:
A back and forth all out war between these two women in the second match of the evening. Storm made a very big impression in Fight Academy Ireland with her debut at FAI 3 against Heidi Katrina, and she continued to show her dominance with a very dominant display against Dahlia Black. The finish came when TK Cooper tried to get involved to help his wife, Dahlia, however Toni knocked him flying off of the apron with a powerful Big Boot. She followed it up with a Piledriver to Dahlia, bouncing her high in to the air from the impact and covering her for the pinfall.
We are shown a brief replay of the Kings of the North's attack on Tucker last week that has put him out of action before we cut to Damien Corvin walking to the ring with a huge grin on his face.

Quote:
Gold Rush Tournament:
Damien Corvin vs "The Local Hero" Joe Hendry:

A back and forth match here and at times, Hendry seemed to have Corvin running scared, unlike any other time we've seen Corvin in FAI. There were numerous near falls however the finish came when Hendry hit a Freak of Nature on Corvin, but was too tired to make the cover right away. Suddenly, 'Sandstorm' by Darude plays through the PA speakers and the expression on Hendry's face immediately changes from cocky to anger. Hendry turns around to face the stage to see the Session Moth dancing with a can of Stella Artois in her hand and a cigarette in her mouth. Hendry is livid, telling her to stop it immediately but Martina isn't listening. The crowd egg Martina on as Hendry turns right into a Royal Mutilation from Damien Corvin! 1-2-3! Corvin advances to the final!
We see Gold Rush tournament, Tyler Bate, walking in the back when they are approached to the team of Bonesaw, Damien Corvin and Dunkan Disorderly.

Damien Corvin:
Did ye see that?! Destroyed him! I dont care if it's you, or if it's Devlin, nothing is getting in the way of me winning that title!

Tyler doesn't cower in fear, instead standing his ground with a smile on his face.

Damien Corvin:
Just know, you're lucky to even be able to walk out there tonight, we could drop you right now, just like we did to Tucker, just like we did to the Nasties, the Coffeys, just like we have done to everybody. You're welcome.

Tyler pushes past the Kings of the North who seem enraged by the lack of fear in the young man. Bonesaw attempts to go after him, but Corvin holds him back, muttering the words "not yet".

Quote:
Gold Rush Tournament:
Jordan Devlin vs Tyler Bate:

Tyler is quickly becoming a fan favourite here in FAI, as shown by the fans love of everything that he did here tonight. Both men gave it their all, with the promise of a title match in the next round against Damien Corvin of the Kings of the North. The finish here came when Devlin missed a Super Kick and turned directly in to a Tyler Driver '97 and the 20 year old is in the final!!
Tyler is celebrating his victory when the music of the Kings of the North hits and the trio surround the ring and the wounded Tyler within, the favourite attack method of the Kings of the North. Suddenly the lights go out and there is confusion all around. When the lights come back on....

TRENT SEVEN IS STANDING BESIDE TYLER BATE!!!

The crowd are on their feet going wild as the Kings of the North immediately take a step back. Even Tyler himself looks surprised to see his friend standing by his side as the Kings retreat back up the ramp. The show ends with the Kings of the North staring down Tyler and Trent in the ring as the fans chant "Moustache Mountain!"

Damien Corvin has been the talk of Irish wrestling in 2017, a man who has toiled on the independents for almost a decade now, but never really found his place. It seems now that the stars have aligned and the leader of the Kings of the North is seemingly unstoppable at the minute. In the other corner, we have the opposite in Tyler Bate. A young 20 year old man who in his short career has made a big name for himself on the indies and has already become one of the biggest names in British wrestling at the minute. Tyler has tasted championship gold in every company he has worked in, but can he overcome Damien Corvin and the Kings of the North?

FAI 6: Gold Rush

Quote:
Cherry Bomb vs Xia Brookside:
A very good showing from the 17 year old in this bout, however the experience of Cherry Bomb proved to be just too much for Brookside as Cherry Bomb picked up the victory following an Inverted DDT.
As Cherry is celebrating her victory, she is assaulted from behind by Dahlia Black! Dahlia goes to work on Cherry while her husband, TK Cooper cheers her on from the outside. She lays Cherry out with a vicious knee to the head before her and TK make out in the ring to the disgust of the fans.

Quote:
Dahlia Black & Heidi Katrina vs Session Moth Martina & Toni Storm:
Dahlia stayed on the apron for the majority of this one and tried her hardest to avoid any conflict, specifically with Toni Storm. At one point, Heidi laid out Martina with a powerful spear and Dahlia tagged herself in to make the cover, however Martina kicked out, much to the anger of Dahlia. She tried to tag herself out, however Heidi hopped off of the apron and left her to fend for herself. Dahlia turned around and Martina attempts a clothesline, however Black dodges and Martina instead wipes out the referee. It doesnt take long for the South Pacific Power Trip to make the most of it as TK Cooper almost knocks Martina's head off of her shoulders with a jaw shattering Super Kick. Dahlia makes the cover for the pinfall!
Quote:
Bonesaw vs Trent Seven:
This was just a nasty fight as the debuting Trent Seven walked away with his hand raised in victory over the previously undefeated Bonesaw. Dunkan Disorderly did attempt to interfere however it wasnt enough to help his partner walk away with the victory, as a Seven Stars Lariat was enough for Trent to take home the win.
As Trent is celebrating the building goes dark and the screen lights up with the same shadowy figures from the last show walking away from the camera.

HONOUR.

HEART.

RESPECT.

COMING SOON.

Trent watches on in confusion before resuming his celebration with the fans as we cut to a hype package for tonight's main event championship match between Damien Corvin and Tyler Bate. We cut to a segment taped earlier in the week with Joe Hendry knocking on the door of Session Moth Martina's house.

Session Moth Martina:
Awwrigh' Joey! Mon in will ya!

Joe Hendry:
It's Joe actually but okay

Hendry walks inside to see rose petals sprinkled on the floor leading up the stairs. He turns to see Martina smiling at him and gets incredibly uncomfortable.

Session Moth Martina:
I wanted to make it up to ye for what happened against Corvin. Mon for a ride.

Joe Hendry:
Yeah, I just gotta go grab something from the ca-...

Martina plants a kiss on the Local Hero as we fade to black and cut back to the ring for our main event.

Quote:
FAI Championship:
Damien Corvin vs Tyler Bate:

The two men meet in the middle of the ring and Tyler offers his hand to Corvin, who goes to shake it, however Tyler pulls it away and twirls his mustache to the amusement of the fans in attendance. However, Corvin doesn't see it that way, and fires at Tyler with a slap, and the two men start firing lefts and rights at each other. Corvin seems to win the battle of strikes as he forces Tyler to the ground with vicious strikes before following it up with a running knee to the fallen Englishman.

Tyler gets back in to it and has Corvin reeling, and it doesnt take long before the rest of the Kings of the North; Bonesaw and Dunkan Disorderly, come out to take a closer look at the action. Tyler attempts the Tyler Driver '97, however Corvin flips him over but Tyler lands on his feet and nails a rolling wheel kick for a 2 count. Bonesaw and Disorderly try to get involved but here comes Trent Seven with a steel chair to chase them off! Tyler is distracted and when he turns around, Corvin attempts Royal Mutilation but Bate pushes him off and catches him in an Airplane Spin! Tyler lets him down and drops the dizzied Damien with a thunderous Tyler Driver '97!!

ONE!

TWO!

KICKOUT!

At the very last moment before the referees hand hits the canvass Corvin gets his shoulder up and Tyler is in disbelief! Tyler picks him up to go for a second Tyler Driver '97 but out of nowhere, Corvin drops him with a Royal Mutilation, driving Tyler head first in to the canvass.

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

WINNER and NEW FAI Champion: Damien Corvin!
Bonesaw and Dunkan come to the ring to celebrate with the leader of the Kings of the North as the fans boo and jeer. The show ends with the image of the Kings of the North standing tall over Tyler Bate.

FAI 7: Martina's Big Sesh

We kick tonights show off with the Kings of the North; Bonesaw, Dunkan Disorderly and the first ever FAI Champion, Damien Corvin, making their way to the ring. Corvin is leading the pack, and the fans are booing and hurling insults at him to his delight. Corvin climbs in to the ring with Bonesaw and Disorderly and takes a microphone from ringside.

Damien Corvin:
It's beautiful isn't it?

The booing intensifies bringing a wide grin to the face of Corvin as he continues.

Damien Corvin:
Let me ask you a question....who is the Fight Academy Ireland champion? Who walked in to this ring 3 weeks ago and walked out the with gold? Who stood in this ring last week and proved that Tyler Bate is just a load of hype? Who was it? Do you know Dunkan?

Dunkan Disorderly:
Thanks for asking my opinion DC...no I do not know, could you please tell me?

Damien Corvin:
It would be my pleasure, it was me! You're looking at him! The best wrestler in Fight Academy Ireland, the best wrestler in the entirety of the UK, my name is Damien Corvin and I am the best wrestler on the Goddamn planet.

The lights cut off and soon the music of Mustache Mountain plays, much to the annoyance of the Kings of the North.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yk2nfrn8V-w

Trent Seven and Tyler Bate stand on the stage, each with microphones in their hand.

Trent Seven:
I beg your pardon gentlemen, how rude of myself and Tyler here, it has just dawned on me that we have not been formally introduced yet, my name is Trent Seven, and this is my pal, my chum, my good ol' buddy, Tyler Bate.

Tyler waves to the audience and they wave back at him.

Trent Seven:
Myself and Tyler have had a, shall we say, less than great few weeks since Gold Rush up on Mustache Mountain. We thought, we pondered, and we looked to the future, and in around about 3 weeks time, Fight Academy Ireland makes it debut in Cork

Tyler Bate:
In Cork?

Trent Seven:
In Cork! And for those of you not familiar with Mustache Mountain, we have steamrolled through PROGRESS, demolished CHIKARA, WCPW, wXw, OTT, we've been all over the place. Isn't that right Tyler?

Tyler Bate:
Quite. Very well travelled, like two modern day Christopher Columbus'. And we feel that to mark Fight Academy Ireland's debut in the beautiful county of Cork, down at the very bottom of the emerald island. Why not give them a match that will be talked about for centuries to come?

Trent Seven:
That's a good idea Tyler

Tyler Bate:
6 man tag, the Kings of the North, Bonesaw, Double D, and DC, taking on the 3 of us.

The Kings look confused because there is only 2 members of Mustache Mountain standing before them. When suddenly the music of Tucker blasts around the building and Corvin's eyes widen. Tucker walks out, shakes hands with Mustache Mountain before the three charge to the ring. The Kings of the North just about to manage to slide out of the ring just in time to avoid any confrontation. But it doesn't last long as Tucker launches himself over the top rope wiping all 3 members of the Kings of the North out! He goes to town on Corvin with lefts and rights before referees come down to break up the fight and we go to break.

Quote:
Kay Lee Ray vs Xia Brookside:
Very straightforward victory here for Kay Lee Ray after she picked apart Brookside before finishing her off with a Gory Bomb. Very bright future ahead of the young 24 year old in FAI.
Quote:
Sierra Loxton vs Toni Storm:
Much like the opener, this match was complete and utter domination on the part of Toni Storm. The finish came when Sierra was trying to balance herself on the top rope but was taken down by a Big Boot from Storm, followed up with a Piledriver for the pinfall and victory.
We go backstage to see the "Local Hero" Joe Hendry helping Session Moth Martina train by holding up pads for her to punch. Hendry is shouting encouragement at Martina as Cherry Bomb looks on from afar giving them the side eye.

Quote:
Jordan Devlin vs Joseph Connors:
Devlin came out flying right away here, however instead of the usual cocky, smug son of a b*tch we are used to, Devlin seems 100% focused on the task at hand. Devlin was able to pick up the victory after he locked in a Rolling Kneebar after 11 minutes to secure the submission victory.
Despite the referee calling for the bell, Devlin refuses to let go of the hold when suddenly the building goes black and the screen lights up again. Two men in trench coats are vaguely visible, however, their faces are hidden by the shadows.

HONOUR.

HEART.

RESPECT.

DAS. IS. RINGKAMPF.

COMING SOON.

The fans lose their minds as the logo of the hottest tag team in Germany flashes on the screen as Devlin looks around in shock.

Cherry Bomb & Session Moth Martina vs Dahlia Black & Heidi Katrina:
Cherry Bomb starts off this match with Dahlia Black, however Dahlia immediately tags in Heidi, wanting no piece of Cherry. Cherry and Martina start off the match in control until TK Cooper takes the referee, allowing Dahlia to sneak in and hit Martina from behind to get the heat. The heels work over Martina in the corner, Dahlia in particular shouting obscenities in her face. The finish came when Martina had Dahlia up on her shoulders, but Black rakes the eyes and follows it up with a running knee to the head. Cherry tries to get in to make the save but TK Cooper at ringside is holding her legs, making her helpless and all she can do is the referees hand slam down the mat for the 3 count.
Dahlia and TK make out in the centre of the ring as Joe Hendry tends to the fallen Martina, helping her to the back. Could Joe Hendry possibly be...falling for the Session Moth?

Mustache Mountain (Trent Seven & Tyler Bate) vs South Pacific Power Trip (TK Cooper & Travis Banks):
Travis and TK had a huge opportunity right here to prove themselves to the FAI fans in attendance but from the get go, TK seemed a little too caught up with Dahlia, kissing her and touching her at any chance he could get. Travis was hands down the stand out performer in this match, but TK's obsession with Dahlia came back to haunt him as he turns right in to a Tyler Driver '97 for the pinfall.
