Default NXT WRESTLING - Episode #246

NXT Wrestling
Wednesday Week 1
May 2017

NXT's regular opening credits plays on-screen. After the video ends, we see a graphic pop up on the tron, hyping up the next event, NXT Takeover: Chicago! Bobby Roode will defend his NXT Championship against the man who recently had returned, last month, Hideo Itami, from injury. Returning back to the ring, we see William Regal standing in the middle of the ring with a microphone in his hand and a smile across his face as the fans cheer for Mr. Regal!

William Regal welcomes the fans to another edition of NXT Wrestling and has big news for the fans in attendance. Regal made a couple phone calls recently and, soon, one of the hottest wrestling free agents will make their way to NXT! Next week, Regal shall reveal the newest member of the roster and they'll be signing their contract, right here. Regal also announces that in the main event, tonight, we will witness Kassius Ohno face off against one half of #DIY in Tomasso Ciampa and William has already ensured that The Authors of Pain don't interfere in this match. Before Regal leaves the ring, he announces that, at this time, Bobby Roode will be making an appearance and apologizes in advance for any harshful words that comes from Roode's mouth. Soon, "Glorious" blasts off of the sound systems. (C+)

Bobby Roode walks out with the NXT Championship over his shoulder and as he walks down the ramp, he almost walks past William Regal before stopping Regal in his tracks. Roode tells Regal not to worry, he'll be nice as possible on the mic and gives a cheesy grin. Bobby walks up the steel steps as the fans sing along to his theme before it dies out. Roode stands in the middle of the ring with a microphone in his hand. Bobby welcomes everyone to HIS show before getting straight to the point and talks about Hideo Itami. Roode says that Itami has never face Roode, 1 on 1 , before and offers Hideo to, actually take the time to think about is this what he really wants and says he'd understand if Hideo wanted to back out of the match. Roode says that even he'd be afraid if he was up against him own self. As Roode was about to speak, he was cut off by Hideo Itami's theme.

Hideo Itami comes out and marches down the ramp. He climbs up onto the apron and steps inside of the ring, staring at his opponent for Takeover, Bobby Roode. Roode asks Hideo, face to face, if this is what he truly wants; being publicly humiliated in-front of everyone in Chicago. Roode says Hideo can avoid this if he just backs out of the match and gives Roode the night off for Takeover. Hideo turns to the fans, who chant "NO", and Hideo looks back at Bobby. Hideo looks down at the ground, hands on his hips, thinking before taking the microphone, slowly, from Roode and declines, saying that he wants to leave Chicago WITH the NXT Championship. Roode apologizes and says that won't be happening because he'll be walking, still, champion. Bobby Roode gets in Hideo's face and tells him to prepare for the biggest beat down of his entire life and exits the ring. Hideo watches as Roode heads to the back, holding the belt in the air. (C-)

VS
SAni†Y vs. Heavy Machinery

SAni†Y defeated Heavy Machinery in 6:06 when Alexander Wolfe defeated Otis Dozovic by pinfall with a Shining Enzurigiri. The colour commentator provided gave the match a boost. Killain Dain had an in-ring performance of 31, Alexander Wolfe had an in-ring performance of 31, Tucker Knight had an in-ring performance of 27 and Otis Dozovic had an in-ring performance of 27.
(E+)

After the match, Eric Young joined in as SAni†Y stood over Heavy Machinery. Otis was preparing to get up from his feet until he was grabbed by Alexander Wolfe and Killain Dain as they kept him on his knees for Eric Young. EY looked at Otis with a sadistic smile until Roderick Strong came running down the ramp and slid inside, tackling Eric Young to the mat.

Roderick beat down on Eric Young, saving Otis, as Dain and Wolfe pull Strong off of EY and drag Eric Young to safety. Roderick Strong stood up, taunting at SAni†Y as they walked back up the ramp, with Young on his feet, looking back at Roderick and pointed at him, promising to make his life hell. (C)

w/ VS
Peyton Royce with Billie Kay vs. Liv Morgan

Peyton Royce defeated Liv Morgan in 3:48 by pinfall with a Huracanrana. During the match we also had Billie Kay distract Liv Morgan, leading to Peyton Royce picking up the win. Nobody in the ring had the psychology to take control of the match properly and the match had very little drama flow to it. Peyton Morgan had an in-ring performance of 64 and Liv Morgan had an in-ring performance of 67. (D+)

VS
Tyler Bate [c] vs. Ho Ho Lun for the WWE
United Kingdom Championship

Tyler Bate defeated Ho Ho Lun in 6:26 by pinfall with a Tyler Driver 97. Tyler Bate makes defence number 1 of his WWE United Kingdom title. Ho Ho Lun isn't suited to his gimmick. The colour commentary provided gave the match a boost. This match cooled the crowd a little. Ho Ho Lun had an in-ring performance of 26 and Tyler Bate had an in-ring performance of 28. (E)

Right after the bell rung. Tyler Bate took the belt from the referee, raising it in the air, and all of a sudden, gasps are heard around the arena as Pete Dunne hopped over the barricade and slid inside the ring.

Bate didn't know what was going on until he turned around and got rammed down into the mat with a huge Lariat from Dunne! The Bruiserweight grabs Bate up onto his feet and nailed the WWE United Kingdom Champion with the Bitter End. After the finisher, Dunne walked to the belt, laying on the mat, and picked it up, raising it in the air as the fans give a mixed reaction to what had just happened. (F+)

VS
Asuka [c] vs. Ember Moon (NON TITLE)

Asuka defeated Ember Moon in 4:38 by submission with a Kanagon. The match deserved better announcing. The colour commentary provided gave the match a boost. Asuka had an in-ring performance of 48 and Ember Moon had an in-ring performance of 36. (D)

Kassius Ohno makes his way out for his match, tonight. The fans cheer for the Young Knockout Artist as he steps up the ramp and climbs inside the ring. KO turns to the ramp as Tommaso Ciampa's theme blares out of the sound systems and comes out from the back. (E)

VS
Kassius Ohno vs. Tomasso Ciampa

In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Kassius Ohno defeated Tommaso Ciampa in 14:02 by pinfall with a Rolling Elbow. This match deserved better announcing. The colour commentary gave the match a boost. Kassius Ohno had an in-ring performance of 43 and Tommaso Ciampa had an in-ring performance of 41. (D-)

Soon, The Authors of Pain and Paul Ellering step out from the back. Kassius Ohno steps up onto his feet, looking at the Champions make their way down and quickly takes a step back and exits the ring. The Authors of Pain look down at Ciampa and Paul Ellering orders them to rip him apart. Akam and Rezar begin to beat down on Tommaso before Johnny Gargano's theme hits.

Johnny Gargano came running down with a Steel Chair and swung it at Akam, hitting it right off his skull! Akam didn't fall, only stumbling back into the ropes as Rezar got rammed in the mid-section with the chair. Gargano was soon joined by Ciampa and Ellering eventually called the attack off as The Authors of Pain exited the ring, looking back at #DIY as they taunt with the chairs with their theme playing in the background. (D)

As the show was about to end, the cameras quickly cut backstage! Bobby Roode was seen beating down and stomping on Hideo Itami's body as the fans boo at what they're seeing.

Roode then picked up Hideo Itami and tossed him into the wall, repeatedly, before a flurry of security came out of nowhere and separated Roode away from Itami. Bobby Roode yelled at Itami, telling him that he promises him that he won't even be able to walk to Takeover: Chicago, desperately wanting Hideo to not be able for in-ring competition. NXT Wrestling ended with doctors checking on, possible re-injured, Hideo. What does this mean for NXT Takeover Chicago? (D)

POPULARITY DECREASED IN: 11 REGIONS

Default NXT WRESTLING - Episode #247

NXT Wrestling
Wednesday Week 2
May 2017

NXT's regular opening credits plays on-screen. After the opening package, a matchcard graphic comes up on-screen, announcing that, tonight, Drew McIntyre will go one-on-one with No Way Jose. (D-)

Following the graphic, another one comes up, promoting the main event, tonight. As punishment for his actions, last week, the NXT Champion, Bobby Roode will be putting his title on the line as he'll be going up against Kassius Ohno! All thanks to William Regal, who came up with the punishment. An update on Hideo Itami hasn't been said yet but will be soon! (D)

The cameras transition, backstage, outside of the GM office. All of a sudden, the door swings open and Aleister Black steps out and closes it shut behind him.

Aleister adjusts his jacket and turns his glare over to the camera man. He looks at the camera and gives a blank expression and turns to his right and heads down the hall. The camera turns back to the door, leaving us to wonder what Aleister Black and William Regal could've possibly have discussed? We may just find out later because, up next, Aleister Black will be in competition!(C+)

VS
Aleister Black vs. Angelo Dawkins

Aleister Black defeated Angelo Dawkins in 6:41 by pinfall with an Owari Death Footstomp. Angelo Dawkins isn't suited to his gimmick. The colour commentary gave the match a boost. This match cooled the crowd down a little. Aleister Black had an in-ring performance of 29 and Angelo Dawkins had an in-ring performance of 19. (E)

We see a recap video of Bobby Roode's attack on Hideo Itami, last week, at the end of the show. After the show ended, many feared that Itami wouldn't be able to compete at Takeover at how vicious the attack looked, even William Regal had concerns. Soon, we'll find out if Hideo Itami will be cleared to wrestle in 2 weeks time for NXT Takeover. (B-)

Roderick Strong's theme hit and Strong made his way down the ring. Strong entered the square circle and talked about what happened last week when he saved Heavy Machinery from the attack by SAni†Y. Roderick mentioned that he saw fear in the eyes of Eric Young when Eric retreated with his goons and also says Eric Young is a coward because he can't do his dirty work by himself. Roderick also states that if SAni†Y wants to kick someone's ass and play number games, then why don't they come down and do it to him! Roderick tosses his arms out to the side as he turns to the rampway. The lights suddenly go out! When they come back, SAni†Y stands outside the ring.

Roderick Strong drops the microphone and taunts at them to enter the ring but Eric Young turns around to Killain & Alexander and calls them off, telling them to head to the back. EY turns back around and gets a microphone from a ringside worker and tells Roderick that he's wrong until Roderick picks his mic back up and tells Eric to prove it. Roderick lays down the challenge and wants a one-on-one match against Eric Young, no interference, no Killain and Alexander, just them two. Eric looks at Roderick and then sadistically smiles and tells Roderick that he accepts his challenge. Eric Young also states that Roderick will be a lucky man if he is able to walk out instead of being on a stretcher. Eric backs up the ramp and heads to the back as Roderick's theme plays again. (C)

VS w/
Blake and Murphy vs. Authors of Pain w/ Paul Ellering

Authors of Pain defeated Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy in 7:31 when Akam defeated Buddy Murphy by submission. Authors of Pain make defence number 1 of their NXT Tag Team titles. Paul Ellering did some good work at ringside. The colour commentary gave the match a boost. Blake and Murphy had an in-ring performance of 24/27 and The Authors of Pain had an in-ring performance of 33/32. (E+)

Soon #DIY come out from the back at the top of the ramp as The Authors of Pain stand inside. Just when things were about to start, William Regal came out from the back, stopping anything from actually happening between the two tag teams.

Regal says that he's already trying to deal with the Roode and Itami situation and doesn't have the time for this and came up with a solution to end this war between the two teams. He informs The Authors of Pain that they'll be competing at NXT Takeover: Chicago, with their belts on the line, against Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa and to make the match more interesting, he has decided to make this match, a ladder match! The titles will be suspended in the air and the first team to climb the ladder and retrieve the belts will win. Soon, Regal's theme picks back up after the announcement and heads to the back as Ciampa and Gargano look back, happy at what they've just heard. (C+)

VS
Aliyah vs. Sonya Deville

Aliyah defeated Sonya Deville in 3:58 by pinfall with an Arabian Night. With nobody in the ring having the skill in psychology to create a proper flow, the match became a disjointed mess. The match deserved better announcing. The colour commentary gave the match a boost. Aliyah had an in-ring performance of 57 and Sonya Deville had an in-ring performance of 43. (D-)

Last week, it was informed to everyone that Asuka suffered a Pott's fracture from an accident at a public environment the day after NXT Wrestling. Doctors have confirmed that she'd be out for 28 days and will be missing NXT Takeover but what hasn't been confirmed is if she'd be dropping the belt or not as her expected return should be post-Takeover, in June. What does this mean for the Women's Division of NXT? (C+)

VS
Drew McIntyre vs. No Way Jose

Drew McIntyre defeated No Way Jose in 10:17 by pinfall with a Scot Drop. The match deserved better announcing. The colour commentary gave the match a boost. Drew McIntyre had an in-ring performance of 61 and No Way Jose had an in-ring performance of 32. (D)

William Regal is standing in the ring, after the following match, and a table is set up with a contract on it. Regal says that at this moment, it's time for the NXT fans to find out who will be joining the roster. William claims him as one of the hottest professional wrestling agents in the world right now and says that he is very popular around the indy scene. Hailing from Vancouver, British Columbia...

Kyle O'Reilly is here in NXT! Kyle O'Reilly makes his way out to a loud ovation from the fans and walks down the ramp, shaking all the fans' hands before stepping into the ring and walking to William Regal and shaking his hands. As the music dies down, Kyle O'Reilly takes a microphone and introduces himself to the fans who didn't know him and tells them what he accomplished in California and in Japan and said that NXT has always been the one place he's wanted to head to do and now it's finally happened.

Kyle says that he didn't come here to talk, he came here to make it official and sign that contract, which would mean, The Martial Artist, Kyle O'Reilly, is officially apart of the NXT roster. Kyle walks to the table as Regal smiles and Kyle picks up the pen and signs his name on the dotted line. Kyle drops the pen and the fans chant his name and Kyle shakes Regal's hand. As Kyle taunts with his theme playing, the titantron statics and his theme dies out. The lights slowly dim down turning the entire arena pitch black!

THUD!

After the lights come back on, William Regal is standing in the corner and notices Kyle O'Reilly laying in wreckage. Regal doesn't know what just occur'd and the fans are in shock and are confused as well. O'Reilly is aided by doctors and helped to the back after being anonymously attacked on his debut. Who could've done it? (C+)

VS
Bobby Roode [c] vs. Kassius Ohno for the NXT
Championship

In a decent match, Bobby Roode defeated Kassius Ohno in 14:16 by pinfall with a Payoff. Bobby Roode makes defence number 1 of his NXT Championship title. Bobby Roode and Kassius Ohno just don't click and it showed in their performances. The match deserved better announcing. The colour commentary gave the match a boost. Bobby Roode had an in-ring performance of 43 and Kassius Ohno had an in-ring performance of 36. (D)

Bobby Roode quickly takes his title belt from the referee and is quickly about to exit the ring until Hideo Itami's theme hits! Roode is caught off-guard and Roode turns to the ramp, as Hideo comes out from the back, showing no signs of any injuries or anything. Itami points at Roode and Roode scrambles across the ring, and Hideo slides inside and manages to catch on the leg. Roode gets dragged back inside the ring by Hideo Itami and Bobby scraped him in the eyes, dazing Hideo. Hideo stumbles back into the ropes and Roode has the title belt in his hands, winding it up. As Hideo stumbles forward, Roode throws the belt out, looking to hit Itami in the head with the title but Itami manages to duck his head down and Roode turns around and gets lifted up onto Hideo's shoulders, looking for the GTS but Bobby rolls off and slides out of the ring, clutching the belt to his chest and backing up the ramp.

Hideo watches Roode back up and Bobby Roode wags his finger, telling Hideo that this won't be happening tonight. Bobby Roode continues to move up the ramp as Hideo Itami doesn't take his focus off of him and grips onto the top rope, pointing at Roode and taunts at his opponent for Takeover. (C+)
