Default USPW: Life In Reverie

Welcome To My Diary
For those of you who are reading my diaries for the first time, welcome to the fun. For those of you who already know who I am? Welcome back to the man coined by others as 'Mr. USPW.'

Background Information
As those who have been readers know, my computer crashed late last year, taking with it my ability to update and create diaries on this board. It has been around 5-6 months since I have been able to contribute long-term to this board. I am glad to be back around now with the purchase of a brand new laptop and the return of my game to active status.

As most know, I am a huge fan of USPW. This promotion took a big leap in the TEW 2016 game. It has taken several leaps over the course of TEW with different owners stepping in, including Danny Jillefski, Sam Strong and now Allen Packer. I will be using Allen Packer as my avatar character in this diary.

Thank you for reading and I hope that everyone enjoys my take on this new USPW. On with the show!

NEWS: USPW PREDICTION CONTEST!

Allen Packer, of USPW, is proud to present a brand new concept to USPW. This concept is a prediction contest for all of the fans of the company. The first of this prediction contest will last from the very first show of 2016 through the end of March. This is to be a major contest for the fans and is to include a major prize. Packer has not completely revealed what that prize will be but speculation has it being anything from signing a new wrestler, firing a wrestler or booking the matches on an entire Reverie event or American Wrestling show from start to finish or others that have not been speculated on yet.

We are also able to announce that each of the Reverie events themselves will have smaller special prizes related to each event. The speculation on these prizes include booking the main event of an American Wrestling show, signing a new wrestler, adding a stipulation to a match or others that have not been speculated upon.

NEWS: USPW AMERICAN WRESTLING PREVIEW!

We have reached the very first episode of USPW American Wrestling for the year 2016. USPW heads to the Dust Bowl in the south east United States for some great wrestling action. We have been informed that the newly returned Nicky Champion will be in action this week against an as-of-yet unnamed opponent. Champion made his return last week on the final American Wrestling of 2015, saving Enygma from an attack by Steve Frehley. What will the man who says that Champion is more than just a name have to say this week as we start 2016?

In other action, we are going to see the women of USPW do battle in a tag team match. On one side, we have the USPW Women's Champion Melody teaming with Raven Robinson. On the other side, the number one contender Gorgon teams with the dangerous Killer Kass! Gorgon has promised that she is going to make Melody's life a living hell moving forward until she claims the Women's title for herself. Will that happen tonight in the tag team match or will Melody and Raven Robinson sing a tune that brings even Gorgon and Killer Kass to their knees?

We are going to see six man tag team action this week. The USPW National Champion Trent Shaffer teams together with the USPW World Tag Team Champions The Cold Warriors to take on their respective number one contenders. The team of Rick Law and Natural Storm promise to bring hard time on their opponents. Can they gain momentum as we move ahead toward Stars, Stripes And Slams and their title matches? Will Shaffer prove what he believes in that Rick Law does not deserve a title match?

Our opening contest will feature two men looking to find their place in the current USPW ranks. The American Everyman Freddie Datsun is a former USPW World Champion from 2010 and last held a title in this company in 2013. But he is a 28 year veteran with Persephone by his side. In the other corner is a younger up-and-comer known as The Complete Package. Joss Thompson joined USPW in May of last year and has yet to win his first title in this company. Which of these two men will take a step toward their ultimate goal and which man will take a step backward?

Plus we will have other wrestlers in the building, including Steve Frehley and James Justice. Make sure you BE THERE and, as always, Keep Pounding!

Predictions List

Joss Thompson vs. Freddie Datsun
Comments: Thompson needs more popularity.

T-Rex vs. Running Wolf
Comments: USPW still needs its bigger man.

Trent Shaffer and The Cold Warriors vs. Rick Law and Natural Storm
Comments: Toss up, going with the faces chasing the champions.

Tribal Warrior vs. Enygma
Comments: Still that 10 year contract...

Gorgon and Killer Kass vs. Melody and Raven Robinson
Comments: A second toss up, I will go with the champ & Raven.

??? vs. Nicky Champion
Comments: Easy pick, USPW figurehead wins.

Comments On Diary In General

I'm honest with you and I think USPW works better by using its own talent instead of brining newcomers left and right. The characters I loved the most were Chris Caulfield and Darryl Devine from "What? This Again?" and you worked wonders with them.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to see what you will do with T-Rex and Joss Thompson. T-Rex is the only wrestler who has both excellent star quality and menace and you don't buy both; Joss Thompson is the USPW's dark horse, someone who can easily be among the main eventers and main foes of Nicky Champion, someone who can help you greatly with National battles and I think deserves more than some midcard titles. I think with your writing I can honestly buy these one of these two as USPW World Champion.

P.S. Don't forget of Champion Force, to get a drink from the soda machine, to SSSSSATTTTTTAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLL! and to BUY MY MERCHANDISE!

Comments: Joss should be pushed to the main event.

Comments: The other three are better

Tribal Warrior vs. Enygma
Comments: Enygma is way better.

Gorgon and Killer Kass vs. Melody and Raven Robinson

Joss Thompson vs. Freddie Datsun
Comments: this is USPW! The older you are the more often you win!

T-Rex vs. Running Wolf
Comments: T-Rex goes over the rookie with ease

Trent Shaffer and The Cold Warriors vs. Rick Law and Natural Storm
Comments: The heels pick up the cheap win

Tribal Warrior vs. Enygma
Comments: I love Tribal Warrior but Enygma puts him away on this one

Gorgon and Killer Kass vs. Melody and Raven Robinson
Comments: this one was tough but I say Melody and Raven dispatch the monstrous duo

??? vs. Nicky Champion
Comments: Hard to bet against ??? But Champion IS USPW so I don't see him taking the l against mystery opponent. As for who it is I'm going to guess/hope that it's Tyson Baine.

Live from The Dust Bowl...
Broadcast via Reverie at On Demand...
USPW presents...

Quote:

USPW AMERICAN WRESTLING!
Quote:

[The crowd here in the Dust Bowl are on their feet as Danny Jillefski, Emily McQueen and Belle Bryden welcome everyone to USPW American Wrestling. The attention turns to the top of the ramp where we see the arrival of the former USPW World Champion and the man known as 'Mr. USPW' and 'Hawkeye' Nicky Champion! Champion high fives the fans along the way toward the ring before sliding inside and being offered a microphone. Champion stands in the middle of the ring as the 15,000 fans here live begin a 'Champion' chant. Champion says that he is glad to be back here in a USPW ring. He says that last week he came out and made a statement. That statement is that he wants the USPW World title belt back around his waist where it belongs. With that in mind, he states that he is invoking his automatic rematch clause in his contract for Stars, Stripes And Slams on the Reverie network! He says that in a few weeks he is going to prove, once again, that Champion is more than just a name! He begins a celebration inside the ring. Then, Champion looks toward the ramp as he is interrupted by the sight of pyros and the sound of entrance music that has the fans booing.]

[The fans are unhappy at the sight of the man who won a thirty minute ironman match last week against Chris Caulfield, Rich Money. Money has his usual arrogance as he walks toward the ring. He pauses when he steps on the apron and raises his arms toward the ceiling. Fake one hundred dollar bills with Rich Money's face on them begin floating down onto the crowd. Money tosses his head back and laughs as he steps inside the ring and comes face-to-face with Nicky Champion. Champion asks Money just what he is doing here. Money says that last week he proved that everyone has a price. He says that he paid that price going thirty minutes with The Hardcore American. Therefore, he believes that he has earned the right to compete at Stars, Stripes And Slams for the USPW World title and bring that gold belt right where it belongs. He says that the gold belongs around the waist of a man who can appreciate the finer things in life. He says that Champion is just like Chris Caulfield, a man who is used to canned tuna instead of caviar. He tells Champion that he needs to give up that title shot and let the real men step in the main event of Stars, Stripes And Slams. Champion responds that he hears what Rich is saying but that Rich Money is a man who is used to having things handed to him. Tonight, he will give Money the opportunity to earn what he wants. Tonight, Nicky Champion versus Rich Money for the right to face Steve Frehley at Stars, Stripes And Slams for the USPW World title. He says that tonight Rich Money is going to learn that Champion is more than just a name. The two men go nose-to-nose before officials come down and stop any fight that might break out between the two men. We have our main event this evening! For the number one contendership it will be Nicky Champion versus Rich Money!]
COMING TONIGHT!

Match #1
Quote:

Joss Thompson vs. Freddie Datsun

[Our opening match tonight features the veteran in the American Everyman Freddie Datsun against the young up-and-comer in The Complete Package Joss Thompson. Thompson works on keeping the match on the mat early on. He slips around behind Datsun and trips him to the mat, sliding around and hooking a front face lock. Datsun works his way to his feet and backs Thompson in a corner. Datsun gives a clean break but Thompson slaps him. An angry Datsun charges the corner but Thompson moves and catches Datsun with several kicks to the solar plexus in the corner. He grabs Datsun and brings him over with a Tornado DDT. Thompson pops up and gives a smile toward Persephone, who gives him a thumbs down, angering the cocky Thompson. The match moves forward with Thompson seemingly having an answer for every move Datsun attempts during the contest. Datsun only gets a brief burst of momentum, going for the Patriot Press but Thompson slips down behind The American Everyman. Thompson grabs Datsun and brings him over with the Clean Cutter! The spinning back suplex bomb has Datsun on the mat. Thompson hooks the legs: One, Two, Three!]

Winner: Joss Thompson (Via Pinfall @ 9:52)
Match Rating: C
Quote:

[From the ring, we move to a promo featuring one of the most powerful men in USPW, The Force! The Force snarls as he looks into the camera and he says that destiny has brought him to this place. He says that the gods have spoken with him and they have told him that he is being tested by being put in the ring with two titans. Tyson Baine, T-Rex, you both will step inside the ring with your own destiny. When we step inside the ring, I shall bury you both deep within the heart of the desert. It is within the core of the earth that you shall learn exactly where Parts Unknown resides. Deep within Parts Unknown will stand the mighty man who controls the ability known simply as the force. I shall be your judge. I shall be your jury. I shall be your executioner. As the Forcemaniacs step up to the stands and buy my merchandise, I shall only grow in strength. These Forcemaniacs here in USPW raise their Forcechlorians whenever they BUY MY MERCHANDISE! With their power, I shall have the strength to destroy you. A few more snarls from The Force and a flex and we head back to the ring for our next contest.]
Match #2
Quote:

T-Rex vs. Running Wolf

[That next contest features one half of the USPW tag team known as The Titans, T-Rex. The Jurassic Power steps in the ring against the seven year pro in Running Wolf. Wolf does his best in the early going, striking the chest of T-Rex with an open handed chop before hitting a Tomahawk Chop! T-Rex staggers back into a corner but he is still on his feet! Wolf rushes in but T-Rex moves and Wolf strikes the corner with his chest. T-Rex catches Wolf with an inverted atomic drop before a clothesline sends the Native American to the mat. He yanks up Wolf and tosses him outside the ring, quickly joining him on the outside. T-Rex grabs Running Wolf by the head and shoulder and runs him right into the steel stairs, knocking them over with Running Wolf's shoulder. T-Rex looks to the crowd and roars loudly. He yanks up Running Wolf and tosses him back inside the ring, joining him inside. T-Rex yanks up Running Wolf -- Jurassic Crush! The swinging full nelson is locked on tight and Running Wolf immediately taps out.]

Winner: T-Rex (Via Submission @ 5:44)
Match Rating: C-
Quote:

[T-Rex has picked up a victory tonight over Running Wolf. However, he refuses to release the Jurassic Crush! The referee steps in, trying to physically free Running Wolf! Outside the ring, Tyson Baine walks out from the back. He steps to the ringside area and then looks underneath the ring. He pulls a table out from underneath the ring! He slides the table in the ring as T-Rex finally releases Running Wolf. Baine and T-Rex begin stomping on Running Wolf before Baine works to set up the table in the center of the ring. Danny Jillefski notes that The Force is not in the building tonight. The man known as The Demon From The Deep picks up the Native American headdress that Running Wolf wears to the ring and sets it on top of the table. He yanks up Wolf and grabs him by the throat -- Hades Bomb through the headdress and the table! Wolf's body is mangled in the remnants of the table! Tyson Baine and T-Rex stand in the middle of the ring side by side as they look down at the damage they have done. As officials come in the ring to check on Running Wolf, we are told that something has happened backstage.]
Quote:

[In the backstage area, we are shown a lot of officials and EMTs gathered around a fallen James Justice. It is obvious that Justice has been assaulted in the backstage area. One of the EMTs speaks up, telling Justice to follow the pen light with his eyes. One of the officials asks Justice if he knows who attacked him. Justice pauses before answering that he has no idea what happened. He just knows that he was training here in the back and the next thing he knows he is being helped to sit up by the EMTs. The EMT that spoke up says that they should take him to the hospital for observation just in case he has a concussion. Justice starts to argue but then just nods, grabbing his head in pain. The EMTs decide to put Justice on a stretcher to get him to the ambulance. This is definitely not the way that James Justice predicted he would start the new year.]
Match #3
Quote:

Trent Shaffer and The Cold Warriors vs. Rick Law and Natural Storm

[Six man tag team action is next as we have the USPW National Champion and the USPW World Tag Team Champions on one side and their top contenders on the other side. The six man action begins with all six men brawling inside the ring. Rick Law and Trent Shaffer exchange punches, while Natural Storm hooks up with The Cold Warriors in separate corners. Petr Novak gets an advantage and so does Krusher Karloff. Novak Irish whips D.C. Rayne toward the corner with Karloff and Howard. Howard slips out and gets on all four. Rayne catches Karloff with poetry in motion! What a double team by Natural Storm! Rick Law clotheslines Trent Shaffer over the top rope and his team clears the ring! When the match truly begins in earnest, Eddie Howard gets isolated in the wrong corner. The Cold Warriors and Trent Shaffer use quick tags in and out to keep a fresh man inside the ring. Shaffer gets Howard in a neutral corner and catches him with a standing enzuigiri. Howard falls to his knees and Shaffer delivers kicks to the chest and back before one hits to the head. He makes a cover and only gets a two count. The momentum shift comes when Krusher Karloff is in the ring with Howard. Karloff goes for a splash in the corner but Howard avoids the splash and brings Karloff over with a release German suplex. The crowd is behind Howard as he crawls over and tags in his partner D.C. Rayne! Rayne comes in and so does Petr Novak, who receives the tag from Krusher Karloff. The match breaks down at this point like it did in the beginning of the contest. [In a backstage area, Brock Cornish is standing by with the USPW World Heavyweight Champion Steve Frehley. Cornish asks Frehley his thoughts on tonight's main event match. Frehley says that those fools are simply trying to decide who gets the privilege of losing to him at Stars, Stripes And Slams. He says that it doesn't matter to him whether it's Rich Money or Nicky Champion. Neither of those two have what it takes to beat him for this title. He says that he put Champion out of action for several months before Champion decided to return for the Christmas episode. That's fine. He got a little bit of a jump on The Dark Destroyer. But that wasn't a title match. That wasn't even a match. He brings up the fact that when those two men actually wrestled in a sanctioned match, he ended the unbeaten streak of Hawkeye. Then there's Rich Money. He says that Rich Money is a punchline. There is no way that Rich Money can even stand in the ring with him, much less pin him for this title. At the end of the night, he says, he is going to prove to each and every fan out there that whether it's Nicky Champion or Rich Money or whoever that they ain't nothin!' Frehley turns and walks off as we head back to the ring.]

Tribal Warrior vs. Enygma

[Our fourth match of the night features two USPW veterans. Tribal Warrior has been with the company since 2003. Enygma has been with the company since 2008. This match was dominated from the outside by the former USPW World Champion Enygma. Warrior tries to keep up with the man in the green mask but Enygma maintains his control. He sends Warrior outside the ring during the middle portion of the match and catches him with a suicide dive outside the ring! Enygma plays to the crowd briefly before picking up Warrior and tossing him back inside the ring. Enygma catches Warrior with a scoop powerslam and then backs up, motioning for Warrior to get to his feet. When Warrior pulls himself up, Enygma drops him with the Enygmagiri Kick! The standing enzuigiri plants Warrior on the mat and Enygma goes right for the ankle -- Enygma Variation! The scissored ankle lock has Warrior down in the middle of the ring. After about thirty seconds of trying to get to the ropes, Warrior is forced to tap out so that his ankle doesn't get snapped.]

[A video begins to play featuring some dark and ominous music. In the background, a man can be seen obviously training to fight. This man stands in the shadows as he lifts weights and runs in place. The man is obviously a big heavyweight from his size. A voiceover talks about this man holding every singles title that USPW has to offer. The voiceover continues by saying that this man has faced the biggest wrestlers in this company and the best wrestlers in this company. Jumbo Jackson is shown as the shadows around him disappear. A clip is shown of Jumbo Jackson pinning Nicky Champion to win his first ever USPW World title in 2012. That cuts to a clip of Jackson pinning Champion again. This time, winning the USPW Television title! That clip, though, is back from 2008. Jackson growls into the camera and says that he's coming back next week. He says that he is going to show everyone just what Jumbo Jackson is all about. He steps back into the shadows and the scene slowly fades to black before we go back to the ring for our next encounter.]

[As chaos reigns inside the ring, we are taken to a backstage promo by the man of a million dollars Rich Money. Money looks into the camera and begins the promo by stating that the money he has right now proves to the world that he is something. He is the man of a million dollars and all that money has bought him the finest training in the world today. He says that he is a man who enjoys finely tailored suits. He is a man who enjoys the best food. He is a man who lives in a big house. That makes him better than each and every fan watching on television. That makes him better than his opponent tonight, Nicky Champion. That even makes him better than the USPW World Champion Steve Frehley. He reiterates that, last week, he proved he was better than that fan favorite Hardcore American when he beat him in an Ironman match. He is focused on tonight, though. He is focused on his opponent, Nicky Champion. He says that there have been many times that he has come close to defeating Champion but he will not take close tonight. He promises to prove to every single person here why everyone has a price. He laughs and then moves off, seemingly headed to the ring because his match and our main event is next!]

#1 Contender's Match
Rich Money vs. Nicky Champion

[This contest is a one fall match to determine the number one contender to the USPW World title. The two participants, Rich Money and Nicky Champion, make their entrances and meet in the center of the ring. As soon as the bell sounds, Money charges Champion and catches him with the Bank Roll! The side belly-to-belly suplex brings Champion to the mat and Money makes the quick cover: One, Two, Kickout! Money nearly won this match in the first few seconds of the contest! Money stands up and immediately puts the boots to Champion as Champion tries to get back to his feet. Money lifts up Champion and hooks him -- Northern Lights Suplex! Money releases the hold when it connects and then gets to his feet, playing to a booing crowd. He moves back to Champion and lifts him up. It is at this point that the USPW World Champion Steve Frehley walks out and stands in a neutral corner. Inside the ring, Frehley's presence has distracted Nicky Champion and allowed Rich Money to take control. Money locks Champion in a full nelson and then rushes him into a corner chest-first. He uses that momentum to bring Champion over in a Dragon Suplex that scores a two and a half count! We were half a count away from seeing a brand new number one contender in Rich Money. Money catches Champion with a kick to the gut -- Money Shaker! A vicious European Uppercut rocks Champion backward. ['The Dark Destroyer' and USPW World Champion Steve Frehley has just ruined a great match between Rich Money and Nicky Champion! Frehley doesn't seem to care as he stomps on both men. Frehley yanks up Rich Money and grabs him by the throat. He looks right into Money's eyes before lifting him up in press slam fashion. He walks over to the ropes and throws Rich Money over the top rope to the floor at ringside! Frehley turns back to Nicky Champion and Champion begins throwing some punches, having had more recovery time than Money. Champion begins fighting his way to his feet but Frehley rakes Champion's eyes to regain control. Frehley moves Champion to the center of the ring and grabs him around the waist. With his great strength, Frehley throws Champion with the Launch Pad Suplex! The impressive overhead belly-to-belly suplex sends Champion to the mat and Champion ends up rolling outside the ring. Steve Frehley exits the ring and grabs Rich Money, lifting Money up and slapping him! He grabs Money by the hair and tosses him over the announce table! Money's feet strike Danny Jillefski, knocking the announcer back in what seems to be an unscripted moment. Jillefski seems legitimately knocked off his feet and up against the barricade. Nicky Champion pulls himself to his feet and is caught with a Dark Destroyer Spear on the floor! Officials finally come out to separate everyone as Steve Frehley grabs his title belt and raises it high in the air. The crowd boos and we don't know who will face Steve Frehley for the USPW World title at Stars, Stripes And Slams. Maybe we'll find out next week. Be there!]
