GDS Mafia (Training Games)

Hello everyone. Some of you may know that we have a Mafia section at the bottom of the forum. The GDS Mafia community has grown to large numbers and multiple games are now run at the same time. This includes our newest game format, the Micro Training Games.


These games are much smaller than our traditional Long and Short form games, having a maximum of 12 players. The purpose of these games are to introduce newer players to the GDS style of mafia as well as the game of mafia in general.


We are attempting to increase our numbers so I thought I would post a thread over here to try and get some new players. Our larger games can be particularly daunting for newer players so we encourage anyone who is remotely interested to come and check out the Micro Training games.


We are currently holding sign ups for a Homestar Runner themed Micro Game, some come on down and sign up.

There are some topics down there you might be able to look at and get some ideas. And don't be afraid to ask questions. We all try to be very helpful.

I'll just chime in and add that it's a WHOLE lot more fun actually being a part of a mafia game than viewing one. At first I couldn't really see the appeal, just by looking over past game threads, but I joined up on d_w_w's game anyway (since I'm a whore for myself) and turns out that it's way better than spectating.

Everybody, I can tell you that it's lots of fun! There's usually more than one game running down there in the Mafia Games section!

Also, if the Homestar Runner game fills up before you get the chance, I recommend signing up for reserves (for if they were to need a replacement) for either the Invader ZIM or Over-9000 Verse games. ZIM only has one reserve, and the 9000 game has no reserves, so they could both use a few more. PM Glotnot for ZIM, or D_W_W for 9000.
