Did you read the NWAwrestling.com profile of Nigel? We're still very high on him and many 'experts' think he can claim championship gold in '07. As for Roderick well....um....one out of two ain't bad.

In a dark match, Julio Dinero wins a 15 man battle royale.

In his first match since being called up to the main roster, the high-flying Michael 'Dropkick' Murphy defeats Nosawa by pinfall following a missile dropkick that he calls the Wild Rover (named after a traditional Irish drinking song). (D+)

Becky Bayless catches Team Punishment arriving at the arena and tries to get a few words with them about tonight's main event. "Guys, I was hoping I could get a word with you about your match tonight with Steve Corino and Masato Tanaka." Tito Ortiz and Daniel Puder walk right by but Don Callis stops to talk with Becky. "You head on to the locker room boys. I'll handle this. So you want a comment about tonight's match? How about this.....you fight Team Punishment....and you lose! Steve Corino may have declared war on the whole NWA but tonight.....Tito Ortiz, the Huntington Beach Bad Boy, the most dominant champion in the NWA and Daniel Puder, the man who was too dangerous for the WWE, too violent for MMA are going to take this war right to you and you two clowns are going to be the first casualties of your own war. You talk about shock and awe, tonight you're going to learn all about it!"

Becky Bayless gets the scoop from Don Callis.

The camera catches Chris Hero and Jimmy Rave being escorted out of an office by Paul Ellering who shakes both of their hands. "So I was happy to help you boys out. I'll make the announcement when I head out there later with Stan to address the crowd." Hero and Rave thank the newest member of the Board and head off towards the locker room, looking with happy with the news they just heard. (B-)

Back in the locker room, Renato 'Babalu' Sobral is stretching in preparation for his match with Doug Williams as 'The Deal Maker' Dave Prazak looks on approvingly. In his own locker room, 'The Anarchist' is going over some last minute strategy with his mates, Nigel McGuinness and Jody Fleisch. (C+)

Babalu defeats Doug Williams by countout in 12:17. As Prazak tries to stick his nose in one too many times, Williams gets counted out chasing the grating manager around the ring. The Anarchist fails to see Babalu slip out of the ring and gets leveled by a devastating kick to the head while chasing Prazak around. Before Babalu can inflict further damage, the British Invasion run out to protect their fallen friend. (B-)

As FUSION returns from commercial, Paul Ellering is standing in the ring with a microphone. "Ladies and gentleman before Stan Hansen comes out here, I have an announcement to make regarding NWA SHOWDOWN 8: THE BUNKHOUSE STAMPEDE. In a rematch from SHOWDOWN 7, the Blonde Bombers will face off with Chris Hero and Jimmy Rave. Last time, Daizee Haze's interference cost Hero and Rave the match but this time, as per their request, she is going to be a part of the match! Its going to a mixed tag match as Daizee Haze will team with her charges, Chad and Tank Toland, to face off with Jimmy Rave, Chris Hero and a mystery partner! Now that we have gotten that out of the way, I'm proud to give you....Stan 'the Lariat' Hansen!"

"As Good As I Once Was" by Toby Keith plays and Stan Hansen emerges from the back. He enters the ring and shakes hands with Paul Ellering who hands him the microphone. "Evenin' Charlotte! I just want to thank my friend Paul here for this time to speak. Now a lot of people are saying my win at SHOWDOWN 7 was a fluke, that Steve Corino beat the holy hell out of me and that I got lucky. Well you know what I have to say to those people? They're damn right but sometimes its better to be lucky than good! I won't lie to you, I've been sore as hell since my match and my wife has been giving me a whole lotta I told you so's! She was hoping this got the rasslin' business out of my system but I've got some bad news for her. Teachers teach, writers write....and fighters fight. Its what's in my blood and I can't walk away....not yet. Yesterday I spoke with my friend Paul here and the rest of the NWA Board and told them my intentions. So, Paul now I ask you, what is the ruling of the Board?" Paul Ellering rubs his beard staring at Hansen for a moment before taking the microphone. "The NWA is proud to announce the first man entered into the Bunkhouse Stampede is Stan 'The Lariat' Hansen!" Hansen lets out a laugh and shakes Paul's hand as the crowd chants, "Stan! Stan! Stan!" (A)

The camera catches Steve Corino with Masato Tanaka and Jack Victory standing just behind him, watching Stan Hansen on the backstage monitor. Corino is bright red, looking beyond livid. He turns to his fellow Horsemen who appear uneasy, sensing that the King of Old School is about to explode. "Let's go big man. We have bigger fish to fry right now!" (A)

Lauren Jones fires the new Babalu t-shirt (available now on NWAwrestling.com) into the crowd. (A*)

In the main event of the evening, Steve Corino and Masato Tanaka defeat Team Punishment when Corino pins Tito Ortiz following a distraction by Jack Victory and an Old School Expulsion at the 18:54 mark. After the match, the Horsemen slip away like thieves in the night, having stolen the match before Team Punishment can even the score. (A)

Stan Hansen is just a fun character to write for even if his wife is a nag. I know she gave him holy hell for entering the Bunkhouse Stampede.

The Patriot vs. Mr. Wrestling III is not a mask vs. mask match.

Ortiz-Corino could be an excellent feud although right now the program is Steve Corino vs. the entire NWA

This week on COAST 2 COAST, Steve Corino has challenged Team Punishment to a match to face off with himself, Masato Tanaka, Sterling Keenan and Julio Dinero assuming they can find two partners. Don Callis accepted the match on behalf of his charges so be sure to tune in Sunday night to see who will join forces with Tito Ortiz and Daniel Puder to take on the Xtreme Horsemen!

In addition Jay and Mark Briscoe, the Best in the World, will defend the NWA tag titles against Jose and Joel Maximo, the SAT.

Plus new NWA Board representative 'Precious' Paul Ellering will announce more names that will be entered into the Bunkhouse Stampede.

"Oooooh yeah! Eight man tag action extraordinaire! The Xtreme Horsemen teaming up to take on Team Punishment and their mystery partners. Their war with the NWA is heading to new heights yeah!"

"In addition we have the NWA World tag team champions, Jay and Mark Briscoe defending those titles tonight against Los Maximos, Jose and Joel. Its always a classic when these two teams hook up!"

"Ooooh yeah and don't forget Paul Ellering will announce several new competitors in the Bunkhouse Stampede! Dig it!"

"Its a loaded show tonight folks. All of this and much more! Let's head to the ring. Strap yourselves in America, we're going to COAST 2 COAST!"

In the opening match, Roderick Strong defeats Bison Smith by pinfall with the CX 03' at the 6:02 mark. (C-)

Necro Butcher defeats Michael 'Dropkick' Murphy by referee stoppage following the Asiatic Spike at the 4:23 mark. (C)

The camera cuts to the back and catches Daizee Haze and the Blonde Bombers arriving as Becky Bayless tries to get a few words with them. "Daizee can I get your thoughts on the match that Paul Ellering booked the other night on FUSION?" Daizee stops and checks out Becky up and down, chuckling a little bit as she does. "Nice outfit Becky. Good to see you discovered the softer side of Sears." Daizee and the Bombers get a good laugh at Becky's expense who looks like she could rip Daizee's hair out by the roots if she could. "So why are we supposed to be worried about a mystery partner? Oooooh a mystery partner boys, I'm shaking! It doesn't matter who Chris and Jimmy get, she won't be in my class. I am more than just another pretty face, actually make that a gorgeous face, but I am an elite female athlete. I've seen the kind of women that they used to get before me and it was not pretty. So, Chris, Jimmy, bring your fatty pig fatty to SHOWDOWN and she'll wind up just like you guys.....a loser!" (C+)

The camera catches the Briscoes warming up in preparation for their match with the SATs. (B-)

The Briscoes and the Maximos battle to a no-contest at the 8:13 mark when the Monsters of the Mat attack the Briscoes and the New Age Invaders attack the Maximos causing a chaotic situation that takes several minutes to break up. (Match B-, Attack B)

As COAST 2 COAST returns from commerical, Iron Man starts to play and 'Precious' Paul Ellering emerges from the back. "Short and sweet tonight folks. I have nine more names to add to the Bunkhouse Stampede bringing the total up to ten counting Stan Hansen. First of all, Steve Corino and the Xtreme Horsemen have apparently declared war on the NWA so its only fitting that all four of them battle the best the NWA has to offer. So the first four names tonight are Steve Corino, Masato Tanaka, Sterling James Keenan and Julio Dinero. I also received a call from 'The Deal Maker' Dave Prazak and he was very excited to hear that both of his charges, the unbeaten Renato 'Babalu' Sobral and 'The Dynamo' Davey Richards are both entered. In addition, we're also going to add 'Classic' Colt Cabana assuming we can pry him away from Hooters, La Parka and Elijah Burke. Next week we will have more fighters to announce. Thank you." (B)

As COAST 2 COAST returns from commercial, the Xtreme Horsemen are in the ring and Steve Corino has a microphone. "Tito, Danny, get on out here so we can make this quick. Let's see who you clowns have rustled up!" Mosh by Eminem plays and all three members of Team Punishment, Tito Ortiz and Daniel Puder backed up by Don Callis head through the curtain. Ortiz has a microphone of his own. "You know Steve, we searched high and we searched low and you were right, there aren't a lot of guys in that locker room who like us. Here's the thing though, it turns out most of that locker room like you punks even less so finding partners wasn't actually that difficult. Let me introduce you guys to our partners this evening.....NWA World Champion 'The American Dragon' Bryan Danielson and the number one contender, Satoshi Kojima! You forgot one thing guys, you mess with Team Punishment and...."The crowd finishes for him. "YOU LOSE!" The four of them charge the ring and the fight is on. (B+)

In the main event of the evening, the Xtreme Horsemen go down to defeat at the 28:21 mark when Satoshi Kojima snags the pin on Masato Tanaka after Danielson crushes him with the Dragon Suplex. While Kojima and Danielson argue over who should have gotten the pinfall, the Horsemen gang up on Team Punishment, busting them open before Kojima and Danielson can regroup and chase them off with chairs. (A)
