A date that means alot to alot of people. Especially Genichiro Tenryu. This is the date where WAR will host a reunion show. A reunion show of grandeur. But florating the internet, are rumors that WAR will officially retunr on that date. Until now Tenryu has declined all interviews about this rumor. He has stated that WAR will stay defunct, even though they will host the reunion show. But why does Tenryu turn down interview offers? And why has'nt he speaked public about the rumor? All waited, on the edge of their seats, for the WAR reunion show.

23rd of June
Kobe, Honshu.

Three men gathered around the up-set table, in the middle of the room. All three shook hands with eachother and the first person gestured for the two others to sit down. The two seating men were the legend Ultimo Dragon and the god of puroresu Antonio Inoki. They both sat and waited for what the third man, Genichiro Tenryu, had to say. After a few starting words the three men began to discuss. Finance, wrestlers and acquirings. But not just for the sake of it. They sat and disussed the new uprising of WAR; Wrestling Association ”R”. All three planned that this promotion would officially restart after the month of July. Ultimo Dragon his skills to become the first man on the new roster of WAR. Genichiro agreed with pleasure and accepted the offer quick. The discussion continued well up the day, and it all ended with that WAR would re-open it's doors, in August. All three men bid farewell and returned to the homes. A new revolution had been started.

July. Rumors are still going all around the puroresu sites about how Genichiro Tenryu is going to re-open WAR after their reunion show. But none of this has been confirmed, yet. Until now. We, of puroresufan.com, can officially say that as of August 2006, Wrestle Association ”R” will re-start. It will be run by Genichiro Tenryu and alos booked by him. There hasyet to be announced a roster, though we can say that Ultimo Dragon has got a place. For now, we can't tell anymore, as we know just as little as you do. Remember to click in, as this story develops.

July. Today, Genichiro Tenryu, announced that the J-1 Heavyweight Championship is coming back to WAR and out of retirement. Rumors have been all around, that the championship is gonna fought for at the reunion show. We can't, off course, acknowledge this as we don't have any official statement from Tenryu himself.

And so the new WAR had been officially re-started. Or almost. Everyone knew about it and every puroresu fan could'nt wait till the reunion show. What would happen? Tenryu had planned to keep the style of wrestling as pure as possible. But would prove a succes for WAR, in this new and modern time?

The reunion show is just seven days away. And WAR is already building up for a grand re-opening.

July. WAR announced new signings today. It appears that Tehryu is competent on bringing back some of the old WAR stars from it's former run. The new signing are as following; Animal Hamaguchi (Though he will not be on the active roster, due to age and condition), Arashi (Has agreed to go part-time with AJPW, to also wrestle for WAR), Masaaki Mochizuki (Has agreed on a contract, even though he is also the top star of Dragon Gate) and Tomohiro Ishii (Who has gone part-time with Zero-One MAX, to participate in WAR). Of more new faces is; AKIRA, TAKA Michinoku, The Great Sasuke and Ultimo Dragon. Tenryu has stated that there will be more signings before the reunion show.

July. WAR announced two new signings today, as well as he has reactivatet the WAR International Junior Heavyweight Championship. Back to the signings, they are as the following; Andrei Arlovski, a former UFC Heavyweight Champion and a skilled MMA fighter. And Brother YASSHI, an AJPW native. These are the last signings before the grand reunion show.

WAR: Reunion Show
Fukuoka Dome

The stage was set for a grand reunion show, and so it was. People from all over Kyushu island, gathered too se the WAR faithfuls take on new blood. The show was set in an invasion type of way, as stars from both AJPW and NJPW, competed against WAR superstars. The card was lined up with great matches and the crowd was really into the whole show. One could really see that the news of the WAR reformation, had been a deciding factor for the sake of crowd numbers.

The first part og the show was mainly upper midcarders to midcarders, from AJPW and NJPW, facing off against WAR talent. The matches were booked in an exciting manner and all the matches turned out as successes. The WAR stars were mainly the ones cheered for, and the opposite for AJPW and AJPW wrestlers. One match though stodd out, as Ultimo Dragon took on Tigier Mask IV. It was a great bout, and it was afterwards stated that both men enjoyed the match very much. The two had worked finely together and had delivered certainly a match of the year candidate. The crowd was hot as the show entered the second half, which saw more of a strong style, then super junior and cruiserweight. The matches were up to expectation as the previous, but certainly the main event recieved huge attention.

It was founder versus founder. The God of Puroresu, Antonio Inoki came out of a hiatus, for one night only, to face Mr. Puroresu, Genichiro Tenryu. The main crowd affliation was towards Tenryu, but some were also heading with Inoki. The match was indeed one for the books as classic moves and submissions were used, but alo new moves were put in the competition. Everyone enjoyed this match, even though it was a little slow, but the crowd seemed to oversee this factor. Post match saw a handshake between the two, recieving great acknowledgement from the crowd. As the show went off the air and people ventured out of the arena, the general feeling was that the show had been more of a succes. It had been a revolution.

Genichiro Tenryu def. Antonio Inoki, with a 53 Sai.

And so the show to reunite WAR had happened. WAR was on it's way back into the big league.

July. Today, WAR announced even more signings. Tenryu has explained that these might be the last signings before WAR's start. The signings are as follows; Alexander Otsuka (Another MMA Style wrestler), Kiyoshi Tamura (Yet antother MMA fighter), Kotaro Suzuki (A former AJPW wrestler) and Yuki Ishikawa (Agreed part-time, though heis the owner of BattlArts).
