Please. Standard issue Mayweather trash talk. He's probably got his feelings hurt because as an industry MMA is on the rise while boxing is on a rapid decline.

"UFC's champions can't handle boxing. That's why they are in UFC." Mayweather said Tuesday from Las Vegas during a break in training. "Put one of our guys in UFC and he'd be the champion. Any good fighter, he'd straight knock them out."
I think Mayweather's took one too many blows to the head:

What a douche...

I personally cannot stand to WATCH either UFC or Boxing but i think it would be entertaining as hell to see Mayweather get PWNED in a real fight.

You guys are mildly retarded. This is obviously a set-up for some cross-promotional fights. Either boxer vs mixed martial artist under MMA rules or boxing rules. MMA versus Boxing? Who would have thunk it?

Is there really any need for such a comment? I think not.

I'll admit, my comment might have been a little too much, but you guys posted this in a forum of mainly WRESTLING fans. In the world of wrestling, everything is a work and nothing is meant to be taken seriously as truth. It's actually a good marketing ploy to cross promote. UFC gets some much needed credibility and the world of boxing gets a burst of popularity as you know the buy rate for this type of event would be huge. It's a win-win situation.

I don't think that was needed, there was a simple discussion, nothing more.

Have to agree there. If the fight lasts more than one minute that means Mayweather lost. There is always a punchers chance.

Mayweather would fall apart in a UFC ring under UFC rules, sure he could try and use his boxing skills, but I think most UFC guys would withstand some shots (especially the top dogs) and take him down. Mayweather would not be able to get shots off quick enough to knock someone out.

I also agree that boxing is on a major decline. the only fight I really have found myself interested in recently was the first Castillo vs. Corrales fight back in 2005.

Most boxing especially the heavyweights has become a joke.

I have to agree here. The level of boxing is pretty pathetic. Most fights are not worth watching. With the growth of MMA, boxing seems slow, boring, even harmless!

After watching Fedor knock a guy out in 30 seconds with a brutal knee in the head, that was it, boxing just is not interesting any more.

If they do not do something soon, i think MMA will take over. Frankly speaking i hope it does
