Default What are you going to do with the game first?

What's the first thing you plan to do with WMMA3?

Also, what's the first league you plan to take over or run?

Myself personally, in WMMA2 I created a league from scratch and built it from the ground up, which I found a lot of fun.

I might do something similar in WMMA3. I also want to perhaps run a Bellator-style promotion with a lot of tournaments. I'm not sure how easy such a thing would be to run in WMMA, but I might give that a shot.

I've always had a thing for the Japanese side of MMA, so I'll likely go with ALPHA-1 first and see how things have changed and who's champ (maybe Adam will give Fezzik his first loss in light of Fedor losing :P).

GAMMA if they are still in the game.

Was the only real game I had on WMMA2, and want to see how I can re-create it in 3. Will Buddy Garner be able to drop down to Welterweight and dominate again? Who(if anyone) will stop Fezzik, Li Kong-Ho, Buddy Garner or Yamada. Will Carlos Da Guia be able to last in the cage this time (he was 2-5 for me).

So many questions need to be answered.

Clearing out the database. Resetting all the records, setting it back to 1990, starting with Victory Fighting League, make 8 man tournaments for the fighting pride for lightweights, middleweights, heavyweights for the first 5 years. Then go from there. This game makes it so much easier to do that, I cannot wait. And hopefully every fight doesn't end with SYLVESTER COLLINS WITH A TAKEDOWN. HE MOUNTS, HE GETS A SUBMISSION. That guy's a bull.

On the one hand I see it, but I hope not. Because I always like to see who give it to him first.

For my first game I will use whichever promotion is ranked #1 at the start of the game.

The first thing I will do is try to get a feel for how the game world has changed since WMMA 2. I'll likely look at every AI companies roster, look at the rankings and decide which fighters I want to build up etc. This should be much more difficult than in previous WMMA games because the new Fog of War feature will make it tougher to separate the good prospects from the bad ones at the start of the game.

Can WMMA3 run on linux OS?
My computer I have with me (in college) is a linux, but I left my other computer at home, and I wont go back until X-mas break.

I mean.. I leave back home 1 week after the release date, so I can always get it then, but... ahh, I have to have it on the 11th!!! lol.

But yea, I will probably play with GAMMA... and play non-stop during the break as always.

I've no idea where you got that from - the only place giving info on WMMA3 is this forum, and it specifically says that you won't be able to import games in the very first FAQ post of the journal.

I'll probably start up a game as Alpha-1, play them for a while, and if all goes well I'll branch off and start my own promotion (Or takeover a small org and build it up).

I started a completely unknown company based in California in WMMA2, playing for a few years. I got to International pretty fast.

Spencer Rubenstein dominated my Light Heavyweight Division, which is my favourite weight class, both in real life and in WMMA. I remember Rubenstein got to Low Level International when I was still high Regional though, lol. He was so dominating, people knew of him, even though he was only having matches infront of ~500 people in California, and only about 20000 people buying it on PPV. :-\

I think I will do it again in WMMA3, and maybe make a dynasty out of it to keep it entertaining. I'm not the biggest WMMA know-it-all, but it should atleast be fun.

One of my favourite features so far is strategic growth, man was it annoying going from having 3-5 people able to main event PPVs in each weight class, to having none, and they can all main event TV shows, and all the former TV Show main event level fighters are now shoved to being undercard scrubs.

I'll be running whatever promotion Phillip Ziskie is apart of. I ran a couple of games with XCC in WMMA 2, and he was a dominant fighter in the promotion.

Yes, sad but true. Forwards compatability would be a great addition/feature for a future game though, as I am also really attached to my WMMA2 world.

I am hoping that there will be a few new promotions in the game if not at least one.
