Hate making posts just after I post, but Tim Kennedy decided to retire after his next fight. What do I do? I reward him for being a good fighter, and put him in against Martin Kampmann for the USACK Middleweight championship.

What does Kennedy do? Knock Kampmann out in Round 2 of 7 to win the Middleweight title. Unfortunately, it will be vacated because he stuck to his word and retired after the fight

Playing a DoMMA game and Ken Shamrock beats Royce Gracie for the Super Fight title. I was excited until the next fight where Jason DeLucia beats David Levicki in the finals of a #1 contenders fight.

Now I'm stuck because Shamrock and DeLucia won't fight eachother...what to do?

Just have Shamrock face the other top contenders. He's bound to lose to one of them, then you give DeLucia his title shot.

I decided to give DeLucia a superfight against Thaddeus Luster and run another tournament to decide Shamrock's next opponent. Unfortunately DeLucia won and Mezger won the tourny. Next tourny I run will not include a Shamrock friend.

hassan fezzik (somewhat surprisingly) after beating fedor emelianenko (19-2) retired with a record of 31-4. a sweet regen, a female is 27-0 and dominating, 18 by sub, 8 by (T)KO.
im running SAMA and have just hit high level regional pop. running 3 weight classes (flyweight-featherweight) my biggest champion is a crossover star (catch wrestling) at 16-0.

edit: wand is still going (38-5) strong and cro-cop just retired (36-12)

and yeah, i decided to do a reboot, merge MW (only used about 700-800 well known male fighters, took all the females) and merged them with the default db. all records cleaned to 0-0.

jose aldo is 31 and has an incedible record (23-2) considering the fighters i put him up against (in my old openweight division)

A whole bunch of stuff (the introduction of the Bantamweight division has succeeded and is in full swing, I've got a female fighter who was simply too good for the women's division and so has jumped to featherweight to fight men, SIGMA is actually capable of outbidding the big two for fighters), but I just wanted to post about one of the cooler finishes I've had because it perfectly emulated the Bisping/Henderson fight from a while back - Nuno Valentino shoots in on Lamont Banner, Banner catches him with a hook and knocks him down, then follows up with a diving punch that KOs Valentino. Considering Banner went into that fight a distinct underdog and I think he's got a better shot of ousting Philip Ziskie (7 defenses of the featherweight title and counting), I'm quite happy with that outcome. Unfortunately, Leon Kaiser's (regen) inability to keep a hold on and actually submit Anthony LeToussier for the light heavyweight title killed that match's rating and dumped the whole show down to just Good.

Lamont Banner is one of my favorites for that very reason. Even though I know at the beginning of every game that there's a 95% chance of him being a complete monster, it's still fun to see him go from 1-0 free agent to P4P-ranked champion.

Speaking of Ziskie, in my games Banner is usually the one to end his ridiculously dominant streak. Same with Li-Kong Ho, actually. If any of those three lose in my games, there's a very good chance that one of the other two made it happen.

Hah. Speaking of Ziskie, he just got unseated by Hans Christian Bloch as Featherweight champion, which surprised me because even though he's now 13-2, I keep thinking of HCB as a second-tier Featherweight. I don't quite know why, either - he's beaten Heiko Pander, Manish Khan, Masahiro Maeno, Manish Khan, Jason Dalglish and now Ziskie, so he's not been getting easy fights. Banner/Bloch is going to be an interesting fight, because Bloch will have a distinct advantage over Banner in the clinch and on the ground whereas he was only on par with Ziskie in both areas. Strange. I'm actually rooting for Bloch now! UNDERDOG POWER!

I'm liking Goliathweight. I've got a handful of fighters who might seem more at home at Super Heavyweight, so I might steal it.

I posted a while back about a supine Nuno Valentino getting KTFO'd by a flying punch from Lamont Banner and the Idol's provided another finish - this time, mounting Snorri Gunnarsson then somehow going from the mount to getting a triangle choke in. I'm sure it's happened in the real world before, but I can hardly picture how it must have happened.

OFFTOPIC: Demian Maia did it to Chael Sonnen, as well as Mark Bocek to Dustin Hazelett - it's a rather common move, but not so much in high level MMA or grappling, it's risky and gives up top position. It used to be one of my go-to moves in no-gi grappling, but I haven't caught it in ages, just not something that comes to your mind first when you have the mount on somebody. You'll have to set it up by getting a leg over one of your opponent's arms and pull it behind the back of his head and lock it behind your other knee, then roll onto your back.

Like the user above me said, mounted triangles are uncommon but not impossible. Shinya Aoki even pulled off a mounted gogoplata and Vinny Magalhaes submitted a guy with a mounted gogoplata neck crank.

Using MW11, just got a regen named ''The Complete Prick'' Jose Palhares...

Haven't come across that nickname before LOL. I think I'll keep this guy because of it. If he's a can, he'll be the gatekeeper of the division. If a new fighter can get through ''The Prick'', he's in.

In my SIGMA game I just had the most one sided beatdown I have seen in any WMMA game. Here's the fight:

>Another match is about to begin; 'Mr. Awesome' Carl Ratcliffe battles 'Ace Of Clubs' Aaron Lambert in the STRIKEFIRST Middleweight division.
>There's the opening bell!
>An exchange of strikes goes nowhere.
>Ratcliffe gets a vicious leg kick on Lambert from the pocket.
>Ratcliffe scores with a left jab from the pocket.
>A left jab misses, Ratcliffe counters with a crisp left hook to the body.
>Lambert takes a hard inside leg kick.
>There's only so many of those strikes to the legs that can be taken before they become an issue.
>Lambert takes a hard inside leg kick.
>Ratcliffe dodges a jab, and fires back with a series of quick, sharp punches.
>Lambert takes a hard inside leg kick.
>Aaron Lambert looks hurt, he is limping quite badly.
>Ratcliffe hits a nasty right kick to the body.
>We pass the halfway mark of this round.
>Ratcliffe fires off a stinging kick to the left thigh.
>There was an audible groan from the crowd there, as Aaron Lambert took yet another shot to the leg.
>Lambert takes a hard inside leg kick.
>Aaron Lambert winced as that strike landed.
>Working from the pocket, Ratcliffe catches Lambert across the side with a hard kick.
>Ratcliffe catches Lambert with a solid jab.
>That shot looks to have broken his nose quite badly.
>That's going to cause Lambert some major problems with his breathing.
>Lambert eats a stiff jab.
>Ratcliffe gets a vicious leg kick on Lambert from the pocket.
>We're into the final minute of the round.
>Lambert takes a kick to the ribs from close range.
>From the pocket, Ratcliffe hits a stiff jab.
>Ratcliffe hits a left jab from the pocket.
>Round one is brought to an end as time runs out.
>That was a fun round to watch.
>That was a 10-8 to Ratcliffe on my card, Lambert was well behind.

>There's the bell for the start of the round!
>Lambert takes a kick to the ribs.
>Ratcliffe catches Lambert across the side with a hard right kick.
>Ratcliffe catches Lambert with an inside leg kick.
>Aaron Lambert winced as that strike landed.
>Ratcliffe keeps Lambert from advancing with a crisp left jab.
>Ratcliffe keeps Lambert back with a crisp jab.
>Ratcliffe uses a jab to keep Lambert back.
>We've now passed the halfway mark in this round.
>Ratcliffe looks to move in and stand in the pocket.
>Standing his ground, Lambert looks happy to engage Ratcliffe in the pocket.
>Lambert is looking to turn this into a wrestling match, and is getting in closer to Ratcliffe.
>Ratcliffe counters with a left jab that catches Lambert hard.
>Lambert catches an attempted body kick and goes for the takedown, getting it! Ratcliffe manages to pull guard.
>Lambert is trying to pass guard.
>Ratcliffe can't do anything about the pass, and is left under side control.
>The end of the round is coming quick, there's under a minute left.
>Lambert attempts an americana.
>Ratcliffe defends himself well.
>Ratcliffe tries to move to guard, but Lambert doesn't allow it.
>The time is up, and that's the end of round two.
>That was a quality round and the fans are really getting into this.
>I think Ratcliffe took that round, 10-9 on my score card.

>And here we go, round three!
>From what we could hear of his corner, it sounds like Ratcliffe has been instructed to look to finish it in this round.
>Ratcliffe spins and catches Lambert with a crisp back kick that knocks him down!
>Lambert has until a ten count to get back to his feet.
>4!
>5!
>6!
>7!
>8!
>9!
>Lambert is back up.
>The referee signals that they should continue the fight.
>Ratcliffe hits a superb spinning roundhouse kick to the chest that floors Lambert!
>Lambert has a ten count to get up.
>4!
>5!
>6!
>7!
>Lambert is up.
>The fight restarts with both fighters in the center.
>Ratcliffe comes in quick and hits a quick series of punches.
>A feint sets up a right cross that lands, Lambert goes down!
>Lambert is dazed as the referee starts his ten count.
>4!
>5!
>6!
>7!
>Lambert breaks the count by getting back up.
>The fight restarts with both fighters in the center.
>Lambert is looking to turn this into a wrestling match, and is getting in closer to Ratcliffe.
>Lambert gets caught out and eats a stiff left jab.
>A clever feint sets up a series of big punches that land and knock Lambert down!
>The referee starts a ten count on Lambert.
>4!
>5!
>6!
>7!
>8!
>9!
>The referee stops counting as Lambert regains his footing.
>The referee tells them to continue the fight.
>We've now passed the halfway mark in this round.
>Ratcliffe steps in and unloads with a series of lefts.
>Moving in closer, Lambert looks like he may want to wrestle Ratcliffe.
>Ratcliffe is too quick, and manages to hit Lambert with a good clean left jab.
>Carl Ratcliffe is looking really tired.
>Despite being tired, Ratcliffe looks like he wants to stand in the pocket and strike with Lambert.
>Lambert seems happy to engage with Ratcliffe in the pocket.
>Lambert backs away from Ratcliffe, creating some space between them.
>Ratcliffe hits a flurry of quick punches.
>The end of the round is coming quick, there's under a minute left.
>Ratcliffe scores with a picture-perfect roundhouse kick to the side of the ribs.
>Ratcliffe uses a sharp right body kick.
>We reach the time limit and this fight is over.
>Utter dominance by Ratcliffe in that round, 10-7 all the way.

>The ring announcer is now giving the official scores.
>The judges score the contest as 30-23, 30-24 and 30-23.
>So the winner, by unanimous decision, is 'Mr. Awesome' Carl Ratcliffe!
>Official Result: 'Mr. Awesome' Carl Ratcliffe defeats 'Ace Of Clubs' Aaron
Lambert (Unanimous Decision in 5:00 of round 3). The match was rated as being Great.
