Default Help with png to gif

Ok, I can't figure out how to convert my png to gif without it going blury.

Below is a quick render, one as a png and the other is the same thing converted to a gif. I'm using daz for the renders and gimp for the converter.

Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks.

I believe its just because a GIF is a lower quality version of the image while the PNG is a higher quality.

Other gif's that the other render artists are doing don't have the blurry effect that mine do. I wish I knew how to get around that.... I would love to contribute to the wmma renders but mine just look bad once I try to convert them over to gif.

Thanks.

Just post them as png files some of us can convert them no problem. Some even will be kind enough to repost them.

Thanks a lot, I'll do that for now but I'd still like to know how you are doing it.
