Discuss. I'm undecided about this so far.

I'm asking just strictly prediction wise, no review of the game stuff. just to pass the month before the game releases.

If all the features work as planned this game will do just fine. MMA as a sport in America is continiously growing and as a result there's a big (for a PC simulation) market out there for a game like this. I myself have been hoping for and wanting a game like this for probably two years now.

I decided on the last option. Just a guess though. I think there are more wrestling fans whod buy a sim game then MMA fans.

I didn't like the choice's, or I just don't understand a couple of them.

I think it's going to go a bit better then Wrestling Spirit did, but not as well as TEW (the standard). I believe there will be more wrestling fans that buy this as well, but I just think it's a great addition to the GDS family...

Where do I think it will go? I have no idea, but I'm sure it will have at least two upgrades/new games added to it. So far I'm really hyped about it, and I'm not even much of a fan of MMA... So I'm guessing MMA fans will love it, if they get word of it, could do alot better then my speculations. Depends on if word gets around though, more then anything.

You know... It could even be used for a more Kafabe type wrestling sim as well.

If it doesn't do as well as they (GDS and Adam) want it to, to me it looks like you could really go into alot of 1 vs 1 things with it. Definately gives more creative idea's for TEW for example, but it's really easy to see how if you really wanted, you could put in a "boxing" type atmosphere as well, perhaps down the road a bit.

Of course, that's only if it doesn't catch on as well as planned. I kind of think it's going to be one of those that has a good start, but a better finish. Meaning, I think that as people play it, they will talk about it and more people will be looking into it.

Multiple player's later down the road will be a nice addition as well, and might get even more people into it..

But right now, far as I know, it could slaughter everything else made by GDS at this time. It might do 10 times better then TEW, for all I know. I see alot of potential either way, and that's from someone that wish's Adam would get back to TEW and forget all about this MMA nonsence, LOL.

I think people forget that TEW was build upon for years now. Most of the players started with EWR and it has slowly but stably built its following.

There is no way the first WMMA will have sales like the TEW 2007 did. However if Adam sticks to it, i think by the 2nd or 3rd release this one will be huge.

Assuming it is anywhere are good as it seems to be!

Most MMA gamers havent even HEARD of of WMMA theres a MONSTER market for this type of a game, and no one (except adam) has really stepped up to make a GOOD simulator.

Make no mistake...WMMA has the potential for be a behemoth.

I'll strongly dispute that. By monster market you mean what? As big as wrestling smark fans? Bigger? Come on.

Average results unless Adam can get some major marketting behind it to the MMA fans, in which case it'll be as big as TEW.

He didn't say that the market for an MMA game is bigger than a wrestling game. That's not the case, at least at this point. But for a sport as young as MMA to have become this popular so fast is a signal that the sky is the limit. Adam has the opportunity to corner the gaming market on a large and growing sport. Given Adam's track record, I don't see why you're so quick to doubt him. It might not catch fire overnight, but this game will be big at some point..

I think it will produce an average amount of sales. It really all depends on how many die hard fans that play computer games are going to buy it. Personally I am a bigger MMA fan then wrestling but worldwide wrestling is probably more popular even with the MMA boom that is going on right now. There is really no way to predict how the game is actually going to sell. I really think Adam and the greydogsoftware team should contact MMA sites like sherdog, mmaweekly, mmanews and so on to advertise the game otherwise it could end up being a major dissappointment

'Wrestling' is more established and has been around longer, but as far as popularity goes, MMA (UFC in particular) has SLAUGHTERED wrestling in terms of ratings and PPV buys. Considering how fast MMA is growing, I would argue that yes, the UFC/MMA has bigger appeal then wrestling. (sorry wrestling fans) And thats the direction this sport has been going.

Free MMA simulators are around on the internet. And these have strong niche followings with literally NO advertising other then irregular forum posts. THQ is also launching a full blown next gen MMA game called "UFC 2009" which was making a MAJOR earthquake at E3 and will likely outsell Smackdown vs Raw 09 by a pretty large margin.

The biggest complaint of the free mma simulators was lack of a career mode, irregular updates etc. Adam has taken care of all this, and WMMA will be the ONLY simulator on the internet available with this level of quality, and because the action is TEXT based, it has the ability to provide realism beyond that of even the next gen MMA titles.

This is also why i suggested an affiliate program for Grey Dog Software in the suggestions thread. People like me (who work on the internet) could potentially promote WMMA or other Grey Dog Software products and access people that may otherwise not be reached by Grey Dogs advertising alone.

Adam also makes high quality products. I personally HATE wrestling games all the way down to my pee pee....but I found the demo for TEW 07 enjoyable and immersive, and if I was to invest in a wrestling game...TEW 07 would be the only one I would consider. All platforms included.

Again, an MMA simulator has the potential to be HUGE. But Grey Dog needs a proven advertising vehicle to deliver their products to the masses. If they satisfy this...yes...they would make a ton of money.

The way this poll is going at least certinally shows adam and his games have a pretty good karma built up with the people. only two people said it would flop and neither failed to explain why. I voted the last option because I have faith in the quality of Adam's games, just not so much the market and number of MMA fans willing to sit and their computer and play a text simulator. just my guess
