This has been frustrating me for a while now..basically here's the gist of my current game.
I'm British Championship Wrestling, a created fed at D- prestige with 46.2 pop in my home area (UK - North) and an average of 44 everywhere else in the UK. I'm currently 'at war' with 21st Century Wrestling, a group with E+ prestige, with 44.9 pop in their home area (UK - South) and an average of 43 elsewhere. We're both at regional level. So for all intents and purposes it looks like I've got the most popular fed, yes? So why then, when, when I put on my medium-sized monthly event, can I only ever attract a crowd of around 565 people, when 21CW can pull in just over a thousand? Also, when I go anywhere in the country with my smaller events, I'm usually just about able to fill a tiniest sized venue, whereas 21CW can come into the North, where they're the least popular, and pull 500+ Makes no sense I tells ya! |

Product. People like theirs, don't like yours.

Or it may be the size of there shows.
EDIT:just relised they probably arn't big enough to put on that big a show. Unless maybe it's a TV show? |

How about the popularity of their workers? If they have bigger stars than you do that would explain it.

What's their prestige like?

E+, mine's D-.
I considered all factors such as product,, but like I say, in taking a peak in the editor it seems I'm a tad more over in all four regions of the UK than they are, and I'd think that the most popular fed would attract the biggest crowd regardless of product, wouldn't it? I mean, people must like what I'm putting out or else I wouldn't be more popular in the first place. I don't know, forgive me if I sound daft or niave, it's been four months since I bought this game and despite playing it quite a bit since, I'm still getting to grips with it all. |

I've noticed this before too, I always chalked it up to the other promotion having Mainstream set higher than me, although it did still bug me a little bit.

Yeah, it's mainly product but I think also that the computer feds get a boost here.
Running ROF in the UK, I similarly to you get smaller crowds than 21CW despite being more over in certain areas. But I know that pure wrestling isn't as popular as SE in the UK. So that's certainly got something to do with it. But when I've seen MOSC diaries, for example, they seem to get smaller crowds than when the computer runs MOSC. So I'm sure there's an advantage to the AI there. |

Because the AI can't really advance book or min/max with regard to angles and such, the engine seems to simulate those kinds of events. As a result, the AI usually gets the best it can when it comes to attendance. So yeah, it might get a little boost here and there, but that's only fair. The AI is seriously no match for a human mind since it's not designed to execute best possible results all the time. Witness SWF and sometimes TCW's fall from National/International/Global to Cult with their stacked rosters as a prime example. |
