I might as well not even buy it on this computer if it runs anything like TEW does on mine. I've got the basic edition of Vista and have turned off all the enhancements. TEW still doesn't work. I know I read WMMA runs better. Does it?

Like you, TEW didn't work for me on Vista, crashing when I played longer than an hour with nothing else open. So far, WMMA has crashed on me once, which seemed to be the exception and not the rule. I've been able to play the game with Trillian, Firefox, and WinAMP open and playing music. And I only have 1 gig of RAM.
So to answer your question, yes, it does run better. |

I have issuse with WMMA locking up like TEW did but it happens much less often. And when it's happened in WMMA I've never had as big a loss of effort as I've had with TEW. You don't have to deal with angles and storylines, and you don't even have to put the whole event together at once, so those both kind of help minimize your losses.
I'd like for it not to crash, but right now I kind of feel like I'm okay with taking the bad with the good. |

Mine has only crashed once and I had HUGE problems with TEW!

I've only had TEW crashes on one specific screen and for example there were periods yesterday were I played for hours without any problems. If you are worried about crashes like TEW I don't think that is a huge issue, there are a lot less problems.
