Has anyone thought of doing a video game mod?

I searched the forum but I couldn't find any reference to something like this? It seems to me that WMMA would be the perfect platform for a mod containing fighters from Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Virtua Fighter, Tekken etc. etc.

Does anyone know of a mod like this that's in progress? I don't have time to make one myself but I'd certainly play one.
