Default Making / Cutting weight

I have been having an issue with this for events. I have noticed about 3 -5 fighters will miss weight on a regular basis.

I decided to see what would happen if I changed the database, so I made the people 100% for cutting / making weight and people still turned up overweight for the event.

How come this is still occurring? Surely it being 100% makes it a dead cert to not be an issue. Also does this affect the event rating (commercially or critically)?

Sounds like peoples Walking Weights are too high. Even if they are masters of weight cutting they may not be able to cut the amount being asked.

Ah right, so even if their minimum weight is within the weight class, they won't be able to cut to it at 100% because their walking weight could be too high?

Fair enough, I'm just not too sure on the mechanics of the game yet

Yes, there are certain fighters that may miss weight because they're huge for the weight class, for example Osmosis Benn, who walks around at 230~ and fights at 185 pounds, John Rivero whose walking weight is at 240+, and cuts to 205, Lawrence Herringbone the same thing, etc. If they're consistently missing weight, you could just change their weight class.

Also, I don't think it affects the show ratings, although I am not sure.

When you say 'change weight class' do you mean in the editor or just sign them upto a diff weight class?

I didn't know I could sign for a specific one tbh. Must delve into this a bit more

why do they still cut weight when you move them up a weight div. for example, i moved john rivero and law heringbone to HW. During the weigh-ins, it shows their weight as 206 or so each time they fight. whats the sense behind that? surely, it should still show their walking weight as they shouldnt be cutting any

Yea, that's a minor flaw, though you could argue that John Rivero prefers to fight as a lighter fighter. Though I agree, with his walking weight being 240, he probably should be fighting more like 225 or 230

That's what he does fight at though if you look at his actual fight weight (clicking the Vs graphic during the fight). Walking weight doesn't mean optimum fighting weight, his 240 thats listed may be with his cheeseburger diet before he cuts down.

I assume they only go to 206 because when you click the button to change weight classes they just go to the minimum in that class that is closest to their preferred fighting weight. Even if they can bulk up afterward, I agree it doesn't really make sense but the game and fighters are just doing what they are programmed to do of getting as close as possible to their preferred fight weight.
