Default Story line question

In my story line, the first step is Talk Show Guest Hypes Match where both subjects are the two people. I can't find that in my angle list. So I did Talk Show Guest Hypes Match or something similar to it, however one of them were the Catalyst and the other was the Subject. What is the angle that will let me pass this? Or do I have to do something else like press evolve storyline?

sometimes you'll have that where you don't have an angle to match the storyline. All you have to do is go into the editor create the angle you want then import it into your current game. The thing about storylines is they have to be excat. If it says two subjects and one catalyst then that's the only combination that will advance the story.

Can you cancel the storyline before the first step without penalty?

I don't think you can cancel storylines at all without distrupting overness and momentum. But you MIGHT be able to since it's yet to start. Try canceling it, it'll say whether or not it'll affect your workers. You'll get a pop-up that either says canceling the storyline will hurt the workers or it'll tell you that you can do it without harm. Either way, I'm almost positive you'll be warned before choosing to proceed.

before you move past the day the story line started(if i started a storyline on jan 1st 2008, i can change it as long as its jan 1st 2008). otherwise you lose momentum. all else fails change it with evo. I use unscrippted for this very reason, the currently story line system is boring.

If I've read the original post right you could try an angle for 3 people. Look for an angle with 2 subjects and a catalyst. When I get this I usually use a personality or announcer as the catalyst. But it can be anyone, really.

You can't evolve a storyline that hasn't had at least 3 steps.

What does evolving a story line do? When do you do it?

evolving a storyline allows you to pick a new storyline using at least 2 of your main stars from the previous angle. The evolved angle will keep what ever heat it had before the evolve.

Here's a question on the evolving thing.

Say I have an unchained story line going, and I have some great inspiration for a scripted story line, or I create one myself. Can I evolve an unchained story line into a scripted one?

No. Only scripted stories can be evolved (either into unchained or another scripted one)
