Unlike you, LOL. Well, at least you made Antonio GM, so he should partially be happy.

“MAW Weekly Showdown”
Wednesday, Week 1, February 2008

LIVE from Stanley Hall in front of 94 people.

Citizen X: “Ladies and Gentlemen, I came here to convince you that I didn’t win the Rip Chord Invitational because of Corporate America. You see, the government says competition is good for the economy. In order to beat the competition you need lots of money. Mr. Chord, wanting to make lots of money obviously didn’t use a random matchmaking machine to determine the matches. He thought Fox Mask versus Citizen X would make him money, so he decided to book that match. Whereas I know that if I had been up against anyone but Fox, I would’ve won. Even from that Mexican kid that won the whole thing. Fox was more motivated to fight me and there for had an advantage. Do you understand now, can you see it? The government is shattering our dreams! We need to fight the power!”
Rating: D

vs
Curtis Jenkins vs. Jefferson Stardust
This was just a regular opening match between two of my cheapest workers. At the moment I don’t have any ideas on what to do with Jenkins creatively. So I’ll just book him in matches and keep him away from the mic. He wins by pinfall.
Winner: Curtis Jenkins
Rating: F+

Canadian Blondes: “We’re looking for some action tonight. Both during and after the show if you know what I mean. Anyone in that locker room that wants to get beaten by us? Come on down, we’re waiting.”
Rating: E+

vs
Canadian Blondes (Huey Canonball & Flash Savage) vs. Riley McManus & Max Mayhem
An average midcard match, nothing more, nothing less. McManus and Mayhem obviously were the faces in this match. They had some nice attacks and worked well. The blondes singled out McManus, preventing him from making the tag. As you could’ve guessed he eventually was able to make the tag, but instead of the usual Mayhem beats them both down and wins the match for the faces he got low blowed by Huey Cannonball and got pinned.
Winners: Canadian Blondes
Rating: E-

A man comes out with some kind of classic hat, sunglasses and a letter jacket.

Antonio: “Yo, it’s Antonio. Bow down for the man that won the Invitational last Friday. The man that is going to dethrone Erik Strong at MAW Head-on Collision at the end of the month. As you can see the prize money was rather good. Why didn’t you applaud for me when I walked in? I hope it was because you didn’t recognize me with all the expensive stuff I’m wearing. Say, Citizen X, I’m Italian, not Mexican. It’s obvious that you weren’t the brightest light in the Christmas tree at home, huh. First one hell of a boring rant blaming other people for your obvious lack of skill and then not being able to distinguish Italian from Spanish. Hmmm… looks like you need to feel the difference in the ring right now.”
Rating: E+

vs
Antonio vs. Citizen X
Somewhat disappointing main event. Since Antonio is now the #1 contender I have to book him as a legit threat to Strong. He wins this match from X with a handful of tights. I hope the matches he’s in will start to improve from now on.
Winner: Antonio
Rating: E+

After the match Antonio puts his expensive stuff back on and looks up to the sky holding his arms open wide waiting for the crowd to applaud him. They did, because they are happy that X got his mouth shut.

Probably disappointing because of the Strong Face/Heel divide - MAW fans don't have much patience for heel/heel matches.

And it's tough to know that to do with CJ, isn't it? Bland with a side order of mediocre...

Pleased to see you're sticking with weekly shows - 94 people is a decent attendance at this point.

Yeah Casey is right the Strong heel Face divide doesn't help. Plus he won by a handful of tights, I bet the fans hated that too. Still great stuff so far, intresting to see what you are doing with Antonio

“MAW Weekly Showdown”
Wednesday, Week 2, February 2008

LIVE from Stanley Hall in front of 98 people.

Rip Chord: “Welcome to the Mid Atlantic’s only decent wrestling promotion, ladies and gents! I’m pleased to announce that we have two new guys debuting tonight at our promotion. The one has been given the unfortunate name Romeo Romaro, yeah, blame his parents… The other one is called Nomad and has actually wrestled before for some small Canadian promotion. They cut him from the roster though, you know how Canadians can be. I’m sure you’ll support those guys in the ring.”
Rating: C

vs
Ricky Douglas vs. Romeo Romaro
I needed some faces on the roster so I signed two guys who I thought fit in the MAW spirit, young guy that need more training to maybe one day make it to the big leagues. Romeo is exactly that, he shows signs of potential wrestling different styles, but he lacks the basics really. Putting over guys like Douglas will help him. Douglas won with the classic Figure Four Leg Lock.
Winner: Ricky Douglas
Rating: E

Oscar Golden: “I am here on behalf of my team, the Canadian Blondes. The others couldn’t be here, they had some hockey game to watch up north. But I’m here to make an announcement. I want to make an open challenge to any tag team walking around on this earth to face us at MAW Head-on Collision in 3 weeks in a match with the Mid Atlantic Tag Team Championship on the line. Bring it on…”
Rating: E+

vs
Nomad vs. Oscar Golden
I hired Nomad for the same reason I hired Romeo. He’s already had a run at 4C but they failed to see the potential he has. When booked right he could become a star in the not so far future. Golden had to use underhanded tactics to beat him.
Winner: Oscar Golden
Rating: E

The Masked Patriot: “Findlay O’Farraday! I challenge you to a match right here, right now! Come on out if you have the guts!”

Findlay comes out with his manager.

Ernest Forthdyke: “Haha, little patriot. You are brave, but not so smart. You know you wouldn’t stand a chance against the big O’Farraday?”

Patriot: “Oh, no? Try me…”

Ernest: “Ok then, you asked for it…”

Suddenly Vin Tanner walks out.

Vin Tanner: “Wait a minute, I want a piece of that giant ooze myself! He double crossed me! I want to fight him now!”

Mean Jean: “Woah… hold it, children… no need to fight over who gets a piece of Findlay here tonight. Tanner, didn’t I tell you to get out of here while you were still able to walk? And Patriot, you should join the circus, you look like a friggin’ clown in that ugly mask!”

After that all hell breaks loose and a wild brawl erupts in the middle of the ring. Jay Fair comes down, and we have ourselves a tag team match!
Rating: E

vs
The Masked Patriot & Vin Tanner vs. Mean Jean Cattley & Findlay O’Farraday
So this seems to have become a tornado tag match meaning all competitors can be in the ring at the same time. Lots of wild uncontrolled brawling going on in the ring. No one was really winning or losing until Tanner was able to throw Cattley out of the ring and help his ‘buddy’ Patriot double team on O’Farraday. O’Farraday shrugs of the blows, hulks up and double chokeslams them. He goes for the pin, Masked Patriot kicks out, but Tanner doesn’t and thus O’Farraday and Mean Jean win the match.
Winners: Mean Jean Cattley & Findlay O’Farraday
Rating: D-

After the bell rang Finlay picked both of his opponents up and slammed them out of the ring on the floor. Cattley enters the ring and thanks Findlay.
Rating: E

FINAL RATING: E+
Sorry for the slow updates, but I'm in the last week of my exams now, so updates should be more regular after that.
