For instance, if you want to sort for players with most experience and highest rating, click on "Experience" first, then sort by "Overall" rating. It will show you the 5.0-star players first, and sort in descending order via years in the league. It will then move to the 4.5-star, then 4.0, and so on. If you want your players grouped by position, click on the Position, then the rating. You can also choose the rating first, then go from there.

I think OOTP does this real well where you can sort by position, by ratings for different stat sets, by stats instead of ratings, by scout reviews (stars). It makes it pretty easy to find what you are looking for.
