Heyman obviously isn't interested, and I convinced the execs that we should extend the "homegrown" policy to staff when possible, so the job is yours. Anthony Earp: Congratulations, you've been hired as head United Championship Wrestling's booking team. We'll be faxing you the legal stuff as soon as possible, and you start ASAP. Pete Debbs: Wow! Thanks, I'm honored. I'll be at HQ tomorrow afternoon. Anthony Earp: Aren't you located in Olympia? Wouldn't you need a plane ticket to get here by then? Pete Debbs: Oh, I've already got one. I was... prepared... Anthony Earp: Huh... Being prepared is always good. I see you've got confidence too... Well, it was a pleasure speaking to you. He'd had experience in booking for small northwestern feds, and now he'd be moving up to an established company, albeit in Colorado... It was all thanks to his cousin, and UCW star, Mark Wellz.  .COMNews United Championship Wrestling hired Peter Debbs as their new head booker. UCW is trying to steer towards giving their booking team more power to hopefully result in a more "spontaneous" product. Debbs has little experience in the industry thus far, so we presume politics were involved in his hiring. WWE held their PPV "Night of Champions" this past Sunday, and it was relatively entertaining. Both big belts are on Smackdown, though, so I want to see where they go with this. Will Punk get some gold? Any relation between this "fictional" site and any real-life one is purely coincidental.

 Sunday, July 6th, 2008 ========== The lights in the arena go off. After a short pause, fireworks go off at the ramp, pyro flashes, and the lights come back on to the show's theme music. Paul Dormer: Hello, and welcome to UCW Heatwave! We're broadcasting to you live on Pay-Per-View and online at UCW.com. Tonight is to surely be an important one with all UCW titles on the line. Right Rodeny? Rodney Hart: Yea, Paul, including the brand new UCW Women's title... which my very own sister Regina will win decisively in 3 minutes... max... by submission... Paul Dormer: She very well may, and we'll find out now, as that match is the first of the night! - Regina Hart vs. Sara J. for the UCW Women's Championship  vs.  Both competitors enter the ring, and the match begins. Regina Hart builds momentum and lands a hard snap suplex. Sara J. is lifted from the ground and gets off a hammerlock on Hart. Hart trips J. and puts her into an STF. Rodney Hart: I told you Paul! I told you! Paul Dormer: Match isn't over yet... Sara J. breaks free, and Hart rolls out of the ring to catch her breath. Sara J. gets up and hits Regina with a baseball slide under the ropes. They brawl outside the ring for a bit, then get back in at a count of 8. The momentum is balanced, when Sara J. suddenly hits a hurracanrana pin. 1... 2... 3... Sara J. wins the UCW Women's Championship! Rodney Hart: ...Damn... Paul Dormer: Do you offer "protection" now? Rodney Hart: What? Paul Dormer: Nevermind... Vague reference... Now over to the back for an interview with the UCW champ, Jack Lightning. - Jack Lightning Interview  Interviewer: You have match tonight with Mark Wellz. Are you prepared? Jack Lightning: Even though that's probably the most generic and obvious question ever asked, it warrants an answer: Yes. I'm never unprepared. If I was, I wouldn't have this belt. Interviewer: Wellz is known to be dirty in the ring. Do you think you can overcome that? Jack Lightning: I can think whatever I want. It's the fact that I will overcome it that's important. And, I definitely will. Wellz hasn't faced me 1-on-1 in years. We're very different in the ring. He's a brawling maniac and I'm a smooth aerial specialist. I don't like to think I'm better than anyone, but I can strike from places he can't even get to. This is my belt and will be until I'm proven wrong... I'm done here. Lightning walks off having made his point. Paul Dormer: Jack has proven through the years that he's capable of just about anything. Wellz may have to have a plan when he gets into the ring. Rodney Hart: Lightning is nothing but and arrogant and lucky kid who thinks flips make up for solid strikes and submissions. Wellz is a hardened veteran in the ring compared to Lightning... Paul Dormer: There is only a 4 year difference in age, though, I believe... Wellz did start in the busi... Rodney Hart: Oh, just shut up... I don't even care... Suddenly, Syntone's music hits. He walks down the ramp, around the ring, and to the announce table. He grabs a headset and puts it on.  Paul Dormer: Umm... Hi! Didn't expect you to be joining us... Syntone: I know. ... Rodney Hart: I'm glad you're between him and me, Paul. His weirdness might rub off on me... Syntone: Heh... - Gene Wilder vs. Donny Hellbound (w/ Silas Long)  vs.  w/  Gene enters the ring to much applause. He's a cult favorite. Hellbound enters next with his best friend Silas. They're gimmicks are that of metalheads, but they're not much different in real life. Syntone's eyes never leave Gene Wilder. Paul Dormer: Syntone, why are you here, if I may ask? Syntone: ... Donny and Gene circle each other in the ring, then lock up. Donny hits a knee to Gene's stomach, and he doubles over. Hellbound rebounds off the ropes and hits the bent-over Wilder with a flipping neckbreaker. Donny gets up on a turnbuckle and raises his fist to the fans. They pop a bit. Gene gets up during Donny's cheering, and stands below Donny's corner. Gene uses this opportunity to hit Donny with an easy powerbomb. 1... 2... so close! Gene pounds Donny a bit, then climbs the top rope. Moonsault... 1... 2... 3... That's it this time, Gene wins! Syntone still watches him, smirking. Rodney Hart: Honestly, can't you tell us what the deal is? You're kind of distracting... Syntone: Scouting... Syntone gets up and leaves after Gene has gotten to the back. Paul Dormer: That was... bizarre... Rodney Hart:True. But he's gone now, so don't cry. He's just... The screen flickers to static, and radio tuning noises are heard. Zero Hour then appears, from backstage. Dave Zero: Attention! You are about to witness extreme violence and possibly some gore. Anyone under the age of 18 or with a weak constitution is asked to please turn away. Lt. Aaron Billings has been ordered to eliminate Kyle Hunter, an enemy of the state. We will take no prisoners. Zero Hour out... - Aaron Billings vs. Kyle Hunter (w/ Xerthor) for the UCW North American Championship vs.  w/  Aaron comes out first, followed by Hunter. Hunter is as menacing as they come, but Billings nearly matches his height and has too much ego to be intimidated. Paul Dormer: This match can go either way pretty quickly... I think Zero Hour made Hunter angry... Not a good idea... The match starts and Billings takes a few steps towards Hunter, who responds by putting his boot down Aaron's throat. Hunter follows it up with a huge knee drop to Billings' face. A pin... 1... 2... Such a close one for 15 seconds in... Hunter sets up in the corner as Billings rises. Hunter charges, but Billings moves and Hunter skids to a stop. As he turns, Billings lands a monstrous clothesline. He lifts Hunter up and does a Russian Leg Sweep. 1... kick out! Hunter gets up quickly, regardless of a flurry of punches from Aaron. Hunter grabs Billings by the throat and punches him in the abdomen. The set up... and a big sit-out powerbomb by Hunter. 1... 2... 3... Easy... Hunter isn't done. Xerthor enters the ring and watches as Hunter pounds the life out of Billings. He puts him in the corner, backs up, and spear him into it. Billings is left as a mess in the ring... Paul Dormer: What a furious beat down by Kyle Hunter... That just shows that you shouldn't bite off more than you can chew! Rodney Hart: Billings may not be able to chew for a few weeks after that... Paul Dormer: True... Ouch... Moving on, our next match is for the UCW Tag Team titles. The NCC has held onto them for a while, but The Watson's are one of the best teams in wrestling today! Rodney Hart: But, can they dance? I'm sure the NCC would win a dance off... The Watson's gonna get served... - The Nightclub Crew (Orzel and Raver) vs. The Watson Brothers (Gregg and Henry Watson)   vs.   The lights go out and smoke machines and lasers come alive on stage and Orzel and Razer come dancing out. Once their shtick is over, Gregg and Henry get to the ring. The Watson's are skilled technicians from England, while Orzel and Raver are high-flying brawlers . Raver and Gregg start the match and brawl a bit in the middle of the ring. Gregg gets Raver in a headlock but Raver reverses it into a hammerlock, which is reversed into an anklelock. Raver escapes and gets the tag to Orzel. Orzel comes in and hits Gregg with a flying forearm. Gregg rolls for a tag. More brawling in the ring, until Orzel gets Henry to the corner. Monkey Flip! Orzel climbs the turnbuckle and goes for a corkscrew splash... Henry rolls out of the way! Henry pins the unfortunate Orzel... 1... 2... 3... The end. The Watson's win the UCW Tag Team Championships! They grab their belts and head for the back. Rodney Hart: I bet Orzel was like "Baby don't hurt me... Don't hurt me... No more..." Paul Dormer: *Sigh* On that note comes our Main Event! - Jack Lightning vs. Mark Wellz for the UCW World Championship vs.  Jack enters to massive applause. He's the most popular of UCW's stars. Wellz then comes out to equally loud booing. He's UCW's top heel and a Main Event mainstay. The two wrestlers keep their distance from each other until Wellz charges and lands a quick spear. He follows it up with a few punches to Lightning's temple. Jack rolls from the ring, but Wellz follows him and takes him down by the collar, from behind. Elbow drop to the ground on the floor of the arena... Well picks Lightning up and tosses him into the ring, and follows him in. As he's being lifted by Mark, Jack kicks Wellz in the gut and goes for a Sunset Flip. 1... Kick out! Some quick punches from Jack and Wellz crawls towards the corner and gets up. Jack elbows him, and takes a few steps back... He runs and goes for a dropkick to the stomach, but Wellz moves and Jack slides between the middle and bottom rope, out onto the apron! He springboards off the top rop and hits Wellz with a spinning wheel kick. What impact! 1... 2... No! Jack gets up angrily and runs to the ropes, springs off into a middle-rope moonsault, and lands right on mark's knees. Mark takes the advantage. He grabs Jack's neck... Chokeslam! 1... 2... Soooooo close... Paul Dormer: Oh, man, we almost had a new champion... Wellz flips out... What else could he do to this guy... He puts Jack in the corner, the set up... Mark jumps off the top rope with Jack's head against the top of his shoulder, landing a massive super-stunner. Jack is gushing blood... This is it... 1... 2... NO! Jack gets his arm up, gets to his knees, and keeps his arm in the air, to the crowd. Mark screams in anger, and leaves the ring. He looks under the ring... and pulls out a steel chair! This is NOT a no DQ match... As Jack is struggling to get to his feet, Mark gets into the ring behind him. SMACK! The chair makes contact with the back of Jack's head, he falls forward, out cold. A DQ is called, Jack wins! But at what price? Mark turns around and goes to the back, clearly angry. He had enough of Lighting for tonight. The show ends with paramedics coming to take Lightning away... Paul Dormer: That no good, dirty, rotten, monster! Rodney Hart: Yea! How dare you turn your back to Mark Wellz! Paul Dormer: You have to be kidding me, Hart! Wellz just decimated Jack! He could have ended his career! Rodney Hart: He should have stayed down... There's the show.
