If you are referring to the Lita situation that was between Matt and Edge. He and Jeff never had any problems that I know of.

Matt and Jeff are brothers, and I'm pretty sure that in the Twist of Fate DVD Jeff said something about feeling 'betrayed' as well.

Keeping in mind Edge and Matt Hardy worked a programme for several months just after it happened without any real incidents that I can recall...

True.

Maybe I'm just hoping WWE would show some class.

And how likely is that?

The old ladder match has easily one of my favorite jeff hardy promos ever just so short and to the point...
right after the match...
crawling in the middle of the ring...
Hardy grabs the microphone.
"Taaaaaaker...I'm still staaaaandin'...."
Undertaker looks at Jeff Hardy with a half respect/half 'why the hell would he say something like that' look on his face.

If they bring Edge back the way I hope they do, it may deflect the awkwardness of having him align with Jeff.

I think it's been suggested here before, though I can't recall by whom; Edge comes back from his being dispatched 'to hell' by Taker with a much darker, almost possessed nature to his personality. Note that I specifically DON'T want him to take on a gothic/vampiric gimmick, as that would be in many ways a step backward -- I'm thinking almost a mini-Taker kind of invulnerability, paired with the manic derangement that Edge can do so well. Jeff could very easily align with such a character and you could even have fun with making his new face paint gradually darker over time, i.e. from grey to black, to symbolize his falling further and further into the abyss. This could set up a program where Matt feuds with Jeff to 'redeem' him, which could go in all sorts of directions without once ever having to refer to all that unpleasantness a few years back.

Hanging on the ropes, not crawling

Can I just say a big fat NO DEAR GOD NO PLEASE LORD NO NEVER EVER AGAIN to a Matt/Jeff feud?

Honest to God, if you ever want to see a case of zero chemistry as opponents look at their clashes at the 2001 Royal Rumble, Armageddon 2001 or even their mini face-off in the Battle Royal a few months back.

Their timing together is all over the place.

That said, Friday night's SmackDown was a tremendous show - sorry I didn't book tickets for it, but that's okay. Hardy's always been a decent promo - but he never gets the chance to show it. He has charisma up the wazoo anyway, it was just a case of him having the confidence on the mic to use it. His feud with Orton last year helped, and his big promo on Friday may well have been taped rather than live - but it's good that he's getting practise.

I think that the character a person has sometimes brings out the charisma. When Jeff Hardy would go back and forth with MVP, I really didn't enjoy his mic work. As the psycho, his mic work just seems so much better.

I always thought the same of Dustin Runnels. As Dustin Rhodes, I just didn't care for his mic work. As Goldust, he was, pardon the pun, gold on the mic. Its like the minute the paint went on the lights turned on.

from what I read about Matt and Edge, they are fine together and both have forgiven and forgotten, but once again that is what I read so who knows

Also, I remember when Edge and Christian were world champs at the same time and everyone was like "o, well Jeff should have been the star of those four and yet he is the only one not to be a world champ of some sort, but also I think some should look at it like this, he is four years younger than Edge and Christian and he has been in a lot of title matches for the championship, plus he is a much more profitable guy than the other 3 and he has gotten better in almost all aspects of his sport

And some might disagree with this, but I love Christian as face, when he acts as the ****y type, but I also miss Edge as a Face, I know they probably won’t turn him, but it would be nice, maybe a revenge storyline against La Familia with Edge as a face?

I'd skipped Smackdown two weeks in a row, and caught a replay this weekend simply because I was bored, and... Holy Crap Jeff Hardy rocks now!!!

I've been a Hardyz mark since they started out (I'm talking pre-ladder match) but for the past good long while, I've felt like I was only supporting them, because well, I always have. Neither of them had done anything recently that genuinely made me like them. I felt proud during Matt's feud with MVP, and his ECW Title win, and I was pleasantly surprised when Jeff started going toe-to-toe with guys like HBK, and interacting with Hunter, but that was just residual love.

Insane Jeff Hardy is so awesome I fell in love with the character all over again. I was wondering what could they possibly do once Jeff lost again at Cyber Sunday, and BAM! They pull this rabbit out of the hat. Really, really cool.

P.S. I hope he doesn't get added to the Survivor Series match. I don't know about anyone else, but Koslov vs Trips is something I want to see (they already robbed me of Koslov vs Khali, the jerks!)

P.P.S Yeah. Jeff sold a bit more than I'd like against 'Taker, but Undertaker has a PPV match too. Can't have him looking like a punk, especially when he got his ass knocked out last month.

Agree with 80% of this. Jeff is by far a bigger star than Christian & Matt. TNA is nowhere near the league of superstardom of WWE, and just look at any Hardyz tag match to see that, comparitively, no one cares about Matt.

Edge however... I missed a lot of his rise to the top, but I'd put him ahead on points right now. Belts have nothing to do with it. Edge has been the focal point of RAW/Smackdown for years now, Jeff has always been a secondary character. Albeit a popular one. I'd also argue that he's been more profitable, if you attribute the main events he's been a draw in. It's all very mathematical. Jeff probably has the edge in merchandising though.

That's what I was saying about being more profitable and no i agree Edge by points in a bigger star, but people need to realize that at this age (jeff's age now) Edge was just starting to get into the main event and winning World Titles, Hardy has already done that at a younger age, and he is only getting better that is what i was saying
