Default The Future Ufc

It is the middle of September in the year 2013. Mixed Martial Arts has come so far and done so much mainly due to the success of the UFC. Dana White has hired a new booking agent when Joe Silva decided he had had enough and the new agent has succeeded in conquering all the major organizations and crumbling them down to small companies. The titles of the UFC have changed hands many times and a stronger history has grown from what was already established. Please sit tight and enjoy the future of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Default Announcement of Ultimate Fight Night 71

Ultimate Fight Night 71
Saturday, September 20, 2013 in Reno, Nevada.

Main Events:

Josh Koscheck (#5 Ranked) v. Eddie Alvarez (#4 Ranked) II

Co-Main Event:

Yuka Tsuji (#2 Ranked) v. Sarah Kaufman (#6 Ranked) II for the Woman's Title

Upper Card:

Heath Herring v. Cain Velasquez II

Blas Avena v. Luis Sapo

Brandon Luger v. Jonathan Wiezorek

Mikhail Zayats v. Scott Smith

Quote:
Notes:

Koscheck v. Alvarez II is expected to be a top notch fight. The winner is likely to get the standard #1 contender fight in February at UFC 154. This is the second time they will meet. Alvarez knocked Koscheck out in the 2nd round in their previous matchup at Ultimate Fight Night 43 in May of 2011.

Tsujii v. Kaufman II is another match with mixed reviews. Kaufman (11-2) has lost her last 2 fights. One of which was to Tsuji. Kaufman was handed the rematch assuming it would just bring in a lot of money, not so much because she earned it.

Brandon Luger will make his UFC debut, which is also his Pro-MMA debut. He had excellant amatuer career.

Heath Herring v. Cain Velasquez II is not a very big grossing fight, but it is a very important fight for the two of them. With a win Velasquez will be brought back into the top 10. If Herring wins he will most likely try to re-estblish his career again, but with a loss he won't be around too much longer.

Luis Sapo will make his UFC debut again TUF 11 winner Blas Avena. Avena has not made an impact in the UFC. If he loses this fight he will likely lose his contract with the UFC.

Mikhail Zayats will make his UFC debut again UFC Veteran, Scott Smith, whom has just recently signed a new contract with the UFC after a 2 year hiatus.

Notes:

It's been booked as the night to restart the rivalries. You've got the two main events going into their 4th matchup against each other. It's a challenge to book but they will give it a run and see what kind of reception they get.

The winner of the St. Pierre/Hughes fight will get a shot at the title in the near future.

Fedor & Sokoudjou will meet up for the first time. It looks like it will be an easy win for Fedor but Sokoudjou has really had some upsets in the past. If Sokoudjou loses, I am sure his time with the UFC is pretty much over.

Quote:
Fight of the Night: Jon Fitch v. Josh Burkman

Knock Out of the Night: Roger Huerta

Submission of the Night: Nick Diaz

Fedor Emlianenko has announced his retirement at the completion of his fight. He will surely be missed and soon be enducted into the MMA Hall of Fame. His future plans involve training younger competitor and possibly running a small organization in Russia.

Soukodjou will sit before the UFC board of director and plead his case for another fight. Most likely his contract will be terminated.

GSP absolutely dominated Matt Hughes and showed that he may be the greatest welterweight of all time. He will get a chance to win the UFC Welterweight Title for his 4th Time.

Matt Hughes seems closer to retirement, he may be pushing to get his 50th win.

Default Ultimate Fight Night 72

Ultimate Fight Night 72

Saturday, October 19, 2013 in Jacksonville, Florida in front of 4,548 people.

Main Events:

Stephan Bonnar dominated Jon Jones to a victory by unanimous decision. (***)

Co-Main Event:

Joey Villasenor defeats Alessio Sakara by TKO at 3:38 in the 1st Round. (***)

Upper Card:

Brian Stann beats Wanderlei Silva by TKO at 0:23 in the 2nd Round. (****)

Robbie Lawler wins a unanimous decision over Zelg Galesic. (**)

Ben Saunders beat Arni Isakkson by TKO at 1:36 in the 1st Round. (**)

Luis Firminho defeated Miguel Torres by TKO at 1:35 in the 3rd Round. (**)

Quote:
Fight of the Night: Brian Stann v. Wanderlei Silva

Knockout of the Night: Brian Stann

Submission of the Night: N/A

-Firminho recovered well from his loss to BJ Penn recently with a comeback win over Miguel Torres.

-Torres suffered his second straight loss in the UFC.

-Ben Saunders issued Arni Isakkson his 2nd straight loss in the octagon.

-Zelg Galesic had his 4 fight win streak broken by Robbie Lawlor, who seems to have finally recovered from his 3 fight losing streak with his 2nd consecutive win.

-Brian Stann finally snapped his 3 fight losing streak with a dominating victory on future Hall of Famer Wanderlei Silva. This was his second time beating Silva. This fight will likely close the book on Silva's career.

-Bonnar once again had an uneventful victory. Jones' losing streak moves to 3, but with this loss you can expect to see a third fight with Bonnar as they are 1-1 against each other. If the next fight looks like it will be this boring, I wouldn't expect it to happen any time soon.

Quote:
Fight of the Night: Janez Kaczmarek v. Brett Rogers

Knockout of the Night: Andrei Arlovski

Submission of the Night: Pedro Santos

-Janez Kaczmarek wins his 3rd consecutive fight and knocks Brett Rogers off of his winning streak. Don't be suprised to see Kaczmarek getting a title shot soon.

-Arlovski's knockout of Cro Cop was even more brutal than the Gonzaga knock out. It will surely be on the "Ultimate Knockouts 11" video.

-Bisping and Ninja have both been mediocre at best with on and off wins. They showed a good fight though.

-Gray Maynard is 1-6 in his last 7 fights, he most likely won't be around much longer.

-Pedro Santos won his 4th consecutive fight. He is now 7-1 in the UFC and surely deserving of a title shot.

-Rashad Evans is now 4-6 in his last 10 fights after losing to SHogun.

-With his 3rd straight win, Martin Kampmann gives Alan Belcher his 3rd straight loss.

-With his 3rd straight win, Jake Shields gives Diego Sanchez his 3rd straight loss.

-Ryan Bader beat Denis Kang for the 2nd time.

-Denis Kangs highly anticipated arrival in the UFC has apparently flopped. He has not made a good impression of fans and staff.

-Jakob Lovstad has beat two of the UFCs best Light Heavyweights and is now ready to step up a little.

-Fedor Emelianenko was inducted into the MMA Hall of Fame before the main event.
