Default A Question of Loyalty...

This is just a random question I've had that I haven't been able to test as of yet and I was curious if anyone else has experienced it. When playing in Japan, certain workers are loyal to certain promotions. During the game, workers can become loyal to the user character.

My question(s) then, is if a worker who is loyal to a promotion becomes loyal to the user character, where does their loyalty lie? If I got Yasuhide Tayama to become loyal to me and then quit and form my own promotion, could I theoretically sign Tayama to my new company? Would he still remain loyal to GCG? Can you even create the loyalty relationship with a worker who is loyal to a promotion?

That is a very interesting guestion. I had the same thing happened to me in my BBW diary where Tiger Fuyuki is both Loyal to BBW and Loyal to me, my user character. Could it depend on their personality? I think that this is a question that should be somehow tested if possible since I think no one knows the right answer to this.

I believe that their current loyalty will supersede any others - if they are loyal to their booker and company, then great, but if the booker leaves they will remain loyal to the company.

I'm basing this on a strong friendship between myself and another worker who'd left the company and whom I tried to re-sign. I couldn't do it, as the six month rule overrode the friendship.

Although it's a stretch to apply one situation to the other, I think it makes sense. However, if your loyal worker leaves that company, for whatever reason, and signs with you, then his loyalty will again kick in.

This.

In my experience, promotion loyalty supercedes individual loyalty.

That is interesting as William Regal has loyalty to my player character. The funny thing is he became loyal because Regal got busted for drugs and I took the fatherly approach with him. Since then, he just rejects any company that tries to hire him.
