My last show I ran I'm not real sure how the rating got determined.
I booked 4 matches, all televised (the maximum for my slot). The main event and co-main event both were adequately anticipated by the fans and the ratings for the fights were - Great main event Fantastic co main event Great & Good for the two undercard matches Yet the overall show rating was Poor. So what did I do wrong here? Is the rating indicating the show's quality or the actual television ratings it got? |

It's only an indictation of the fans anticipation level, the quality of fights do play a part, but not a big one. Had you gone up in size since you booked the show?

Not since it had been booked, no. And I believe the anticipation was decent for the main event, and good for the co-main event. The main event involved a challenger for a title who was going in with a loss, so that probably did it I guess.

It's because your main event was decent. Decent isn't that good.
Poor shouldn't have hurt you much, so there's that atleast. |

yea, my first ever show had 3 undercard fights, Fantastic, Great and Good - with a decent main event. Yet the overall show was rated as awful.
That definately can't be right. MMA shows aren't judged in the same way as wrestling events. The main event rating shouldn't have such a huge bearing on the overall show rating (if that is indeed whats happening) |

Decent anticipation should be good enough for at least an average rating, especially since the match itself was rated great.
