Question Avatar from my webspace?

Sorry for the dumb question but I can't get the system to accept my avatar from my webspace. I put in the URL where it should go but it always goes back to the no avatar option.

Is it within the limits?

Quote:
Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 80 by 80 pixels or 9.8 KB (whichever is smaller).
If it is and it still doesn't work, just save the avatar to your computer and upload it from there.

Damn guys, I am not a total noob. I already resized the image and loaded it from my computer but it looks fuzzy that way. So I clicked on the “no avatar” option and then tried to load it from my webspace. I wanted to see if the image looks better that way but it keeps returning to the no avatar option. I can’t get it to recognize the URL.

Let me break it down for you:

1. I go to user CP.
2. I click on “edit avatar.”
3. “Do not use Avatar” is currently selected so I change it to “Custom Avatar.”
4. I type the URL of my image at my webspace in the box marked “Enter Avatar URL.”
5. I press “save changes”

It then goes back to the screen that I started from in step 3.

When you uploaded the fuzzy version from your computer, what extension did it have? Try saving it as a .bmp file.

Power,

It's a jpg. The system won't let you use a bmp file.
