***Just a quick note. Fighter Popularity is DEFINITELY a work in progress. Please don't waste your time, or mines, by telling us this. We know. We've chosen to give you something to play in the meantime while we work this out. Some fighter's stats need work too. This is also something that I've really been plugging away on. All we ask if that when you come to the table with something that is wrong, is to keep in mind that a lot of these things, we know, and just to be respectful while doing it. We're going to outright ignore people who can't. This is a project done for free in our spare time. Just keep that in mind.

I respectfully request you do not host or hotlink our data on other sites. Also, please do not take my data, alter it in anyway, and pass it off as your own. If you would like to do any modifications to the data and re-release it please send me an email or PM over the boards and ask for permission first, I'd expect the same if it were your data.

If you find any mistakes let us know in this thread. If you disagree with the stats we ask that you post your reasoning's along with it, just saying you think someone should be better at something isn't going to cut it.

This definitely isn't a 100% finished product, but that it is good enough where I am prepared to release it to the public. We are continuing to work on getting things the way we want them. People will probably find a few things that we didn't get to yet, but that they are things that will get done.

I am look at this like a public beta. Play it, post errors you find. Let me know who you think needs some work. Please be respectful about it though. I want to make this mod great for you guys, but I'm doing it for fun.

Lastly... don't bother posting MMA news. I follow it religiously. So I'll never need posts about signings, releases, etc.

Just wanted to take a second to post why this update looks pretty small.

I didn't focus on adding a ton of fighters... I really focused on fighter popularity, specifically in the UFC, with the plan to be to spread down to other orgs, and then to the free agents. The only thing I haven't really completed UFCwise, is featherweight and bantamweight. There is still tweaking to be done, but this will make booking the UFC a lot more realistic.

Did a bit of work trying to find mistakes in ethnicity's also.

I wanted to put this out to start April, so that you guys could play with the better popularity stats, and I do plan more frequent, smaller updates, as things get tweaked. So don't be surprised to see updates with, say, 15-20 new fighters, and not a lot in the readme, because most of the work will be things that don't show up in the file.

I'll probably removed Sengoku on the next update, but didn't want to push back getting this out there today to do that. Not a huge rush since I wouldn't have immediately put in a promotion to replace them.

Edit: I did do a bit of last minute work on rankings too since he seems to have improved the formula in the 3/25 patch. If you haven't downloaded it yet, do so before starting a new game. The rankings are NOT perfect, but better.

I've been itching to start a current game I will check this out for sure. I noticed in your last one that some of the pictures in your face pack didn't match up to the fighters (Dan Henderson for example) because of jpg vs gif. I don't know if you fixed that but if not I'll post ones I notice.

Just looked... The mod has Hendo's pic set as a gif, and the pic of Hendo in my pic pack is also a gif. All fighter pics in my mod as set to be gif format.

We've been using gif with the mod for the start, and I've collected too many pics to convert them, so I've always just stayed with gif. If you do use my pic pack tho, it will always be full of gifs.

You know what... since I've released the pack, I've cut about 40 more pics... Hendo was probably amongst those. I'll upload the updated pack sometime tomorrow.

Is there a reason why Strikeforce hasn't been set to be owned by the UFC? I haven't really played with the mechanics of that and I was about to adjust it manually, but I wanted to make sure there wasn't a good reason for it not being there.

I've been looking at the fight teams; are you planning on doing any updates? I noticed that there are fight clubs that are either missing, dont have fighters in the clubs, or the team strengths seem off.

Thought I caught all the Brazilians who were default listed as black. Fixed. Now I definitely have all of them. That was apparently the only straggler left behind.

I'm treating it the same way as I treated the WEC being owned by the UFC. I never gave them an owned by relationship as long as they ran separately. If any sort of talent sharing takes place, then I'll make the relationship, but I want to see it first. Because at least right now, the way it's being run, is they are under the same ownership, but are two separate companies.

It definitely needs work. This version of the game added one more level of camp rating, and basically downgraded every camp by 1. It's just a matter of prioritizing one thing over another. So much to do, but which order to do it in.

Just something I noticed earlier, whilst Jon Olav Einemo was fighting, the play by play referred to him as "Default"

Also, something else I notice on all the Mods i've downloaded and tried, the prestige level on the North of England is 38%, yet when UFC comes over here, it's usually to London or Manchester, and London has a 65% prestige level, so I personally think this needs altering

Also, on that note, UFC has been to Germany twice in recent years, so maybe the Prestige level there should also be increased

A lot of fight histories are missing. I am guessing this is lower on the list of priorities for the mod.

Looks like maybe when I entered that one, I must not have saved it.... It's the only explanation I've got since the rest of the event is in there.

Fixed the Einemo one... accidentally forgot to change his short name.

I'll look at the others stuff too.... It's one of those things that I never think to look at.
