Well, it was only a matter of time before they were going to gut ECW for the next batch of FCW graduates. Oh well, I wonder who they'll bring up. Is Lo Ki healthy yet?

PJ BLACK!!! (or whatever the devil his name is in FCW... Justin Angel, I think, which is nowhere near as cool sounding)

See? I mark for the rare high flier too! Unfortunately his thick South African accent might cause some issues for him in the microphone... that and the fact that he's never seemed to great at it to begin with.

Still, he's a world class athlete.

Not yet. Couple more months of rehab. Joe Hennig's healthy, though.

And this raises a good point. Sheamus and Drew might be making the run up to ECW soon.

True words. Well... I haven't seen much quality work from her yet, but just watching her move, I can see she's got something.

Interesting trades, in that it looks like Smackdown got strengthened, and RAW got... Meh... Even more Meh. Diva division slightly better I guess... Shame about ECW. I've been watching that show every week, and now the only reason to do so is Zack Ryder. Woo Woo Woo. Sadly I don't think he's enough to watch the whole show for. You know it.

2)They're really running out of people to use, given how much they're riding the same feuds from 3-5 years ago (really, how many times does Randy Orton have to face Triple H or John Cena?). I was watching the Macho Madness DVD and something hit me real hard. How long's it been since people cared (I mean really cared) about the Intercontinental title? Who do they have on the roster who hasn't already main evented who could make people care about that title like they did when Savage held it? Their midcard is in such a shambles, they have to put main event level matches at the beginning and middle of the show because people don't care about anyone else. These trades do nothing to change that, that I can see.
1) Not taking anything away from the actual talent that some and I stress SOME of the women have, but women's wrestling has been an absolute joke since they started wrestling in their bedroom attire. They should be coming to the ring dressed to wrestle and not like they are headed out to the street corner. And i'm not saying its any better when the men do either. Thats just my two cents as far as womens wrestling is concerned. When the knockouts division first started the women wrestlers there had on clothes then the next thing I know it was just like WWF and I change the channel whenever they come out to the ring.

2) Sadly I think the days of the IC title actually meaning something are long gone. Sure they may give it to a big name now and then but it doesn't do anything for the belt itself. It seems to me like now they use the belt as a consellation prize. A way of telling someone you're good but not that good. It used to be that if you held that belt you were the second best "in the business." The number 1 contender so to speak. Its sad because it takes the focus off of some of the better in ring performers that they give the "mid card" titles too. Maybe it was all done intentionally, if they put effort into those belts people might realize that the so called stars of the show aren't nearly as talented. That's the state that wrestling has (depending on who you ask) devolved/evolved too. If you're good on the mic you can go to the top. If you can actually wrestle then the best you can hope for is second rate.

I know wrestling has changed and is being promoted more as entertainment than wrestling. As much as it pains me to say this, I'm ok with that. What I will never understand, is why exactly that happened? It can't be because they wanted to market it to the younger (and by younger I mean the kids that make up a good portion of the audience) crowd, if that was the case... see point 1 ... would have never happened.

Back on topic hopefully the shifting of some of the rosters will breathe much needed new life into the main event scene so we won't see cena vs orton, hhh vs orton , batista vs orton for the umpteen-millionth time.

One thing about raw that I can't stand is MIZ. I don't understand why he is even still there. His in ring work is lack luster to say the least. He's really not that good on the mic either in my opinion. The last time I had the night off when they came to Cleveland was an ECW/Smackdown live/taping. With him being the exception to date i've never seen a wrestler heel or face get booed out of the arena when wrestling in their "hometown", which by the way isn't even his real hometown.

I only saw a few minutes of the show tonight. I'm going to assume HHH beat MVP and Cena beat the miz, if both matches even took place tonight?

I dunno I guess the mini draft was alright. I'm confused by the Matt Hardy situation, I thought the idea was to get him away from Jeff because if they are on the same show he will always be trapped in Jeff's shadow. Unless they are going to pair Matt and CM Punk up some how then this makes no sense. As for the other moves...

Regal to ECW is a good move, fits the same role as Finlay did, but a better wrestler. Goldust to ECW makes sense to me but I think he should of brought along his rat pack too ie festus and hornswoggle. Without them Goldust is back to being boring. Shelton Benjamin is a good move because on ECW he can be featured once again. I just wish they would of gave up on the idea of pushing him as a singles and keep him teamed up with Charlie Haas.

RAW gets Mark Henry who the seem to want to push as a face, thats something fresh so I have no problem with that. Evan Bourne fills that little guy high flyer for the kids role that Rey Mysterio had locked down before moving back to Smackdown. Then there is Swagger. I really think they pulled the trigger on him to quickly. I would have rather seen Christian move then Swagger. I think he is still to young to really get into the main event mess, but I think he will step right into the IC title picture with a quick fued with Kofi before moving on to a nice MVP fued.

Smackdown gets Matt Hardy...been over that one, Finlay who fills that Hardcore Bob Holly role of someone who the company likes and will keep around forever. Last but not least the Hart Dynasty. I am thinking along the lines of Swagger here. I like the move but I think it might be too soon especially with two main eventers holding the tag titles right now.

As for the women, I am not really into the womens wrestling so I will save my opinion on that one althought I like Gail Kim moving to RAW, the others I have no opinion on.

I don't know I am going to have to disagree with the Miz statement. I am no huge fan or anything but I think he was probably the most improved wrestler on the roster last year. He continues to get better in ring and on the mic. He is by no means a legit main eventer, he is mid carder at best but we are seeing him grow in front of our own eyes.

I also like The Miz. I don't really care if he's a "good wrestler" or not, but I have an affinity for cowardly midcard Heels, loved his promo on a PPV a couple of months back, and... Awesome hats.

I'd rather see him talk and wrestle than 87% of the rest of the roster right now.

I have a strange affinity with the Miz, think it stems from the fact that after Nitro got pulled in the Netherlands (just post the fingerpoke of doom) and before finding a certain torrent site and the fact that no one liked wrestling in my surroundings he was my only connection too wrestling via the Real World and all those challenges etc he did on MTV. It's kinda sad I know, but he was a real fan of wrestling and really wanted to get into the bussiness its not that he is a random reality show celeb who just showed up. (Jenna Morasca anyone? altough she is hot!)

So what ratings and attendance aren't everything by that logic ECW sucked its entire run. And their ratings are up on avarege by 30 percent, they are making a profit now and have a 2 hour prime time show. They are making slow but steady progress.

As far as i know, Jeff hardy has still not signed an extension (though they could have gotten it done and be keeping it quite)

Word on the rumor sites was that Jeff was looking to take some time off from the biz in general and save some wear and tear on his body now that he has some bank built up.

Mabey that's why they moved matt back, if jeff is really going to be moving on in what.... a month now?

One thing that I'd like to mention.. A thing that a person on another forum noticed.

Does it strike you as a little odd that Donal Trump, the owner of RAW, could trade wrestlers between ECW and SD!? Is has this loophole being answered yet by WWE, haven't watched this weeks episode of RAW.

I assumed it was more so a trade he brokered, as opposed to Trump just deciding to trade people. Maybe I didn't listen as close as I should have though.

I think Vince used the word "orchestrated a trade" or something along those lines.
