She said that I was the reason nobody trusts Republican loyalists, and the guard slaps her to shut her up. I honestly laughed because I thought she deserved it for lumping me in with loyalists. Does that make me a monster? I can't tell.
I always choose the same option: I free her. I'm not a lover of police (military or otherwise) to begin with and I especially dislike crooked ones. Unfortunately, I'll spoil it for you: if you choose the other option (free her), you don't actually get to kill the corrupt pigs. I do the same with the minefield obstacle course sidequest and so wish I could shoot the ethics officer.

And Linsolv, I think we have characters on both sides. My highest are Republic (Trooper & Smuggler) since I'm having trouble deciding which romance to pursue on my SW and whether or not to corrupt my SI's love interest. BH is Mako all the way though.

Sometime this weekend I'm going to work on my Jedi Shadow with the chainmail bikini (literally).

Started a BH. It's entertaining, but almost feels as limiting as my Jedi. Just... in the other direction. Always, they're pushing me towards Dark choices. Rarely get to have fun with it.

I'm not a fan of crooked cops, but they shoved me SO HARD into the Light Side choices early on, where every choice was either kill children or side with Light. I wanted to be Dark.

Those are the early levels. Things change once you leave Hutta (and come close to leaving Dromund Kaas). My BH is light side but with a large amount of dark side points. He's going to hook up with Mako so most of his choices were mercenary in nature ("How much you payin'?") which at the start are heavily light sided. Your choices widen quite a bit later on. I mean, you're a Bounty Hunter. Not every bounty has to be brought in alive, after all. If you're given the choice, the dark side option should be obvious.

I'll let you in on a little secret. Going opposite a faction's side, more often than not, gains you more (XP/creds) than going with the flow. So a dark Jedi or light Sith (as two examples) will gain more xp and creds. This is because many contrary quest choices open up additional quest steps (like Kraay's mission on Hutta, if you don't kill Nem'ro's smuggler) which lead to more kills/xp opportunities.

Yeah, BH is a lot freer now. Though, now I just have the same trouble as usual: I have a character I'm trying to role-play in cutscenes, and Bioware's vague (if not entirely misleading) descriptions of the choices don't make clear what my choices actually are.

Example: I did Black Talon earlier today; at one point, I believe after you fight off the sabotage droids, you come back to the bridge and the girl congratulates you. My BH is trying to come off as indifferent and sorta dead-to-the-world, so I picked the option "I don't need your thanks." In other words, he just doesn't care what you think.

What the ACTUAL line was (since I won that roll), was "I don't need your thanks -- only your submission." Completely different from what I thought I was choosing. (This was also a serious problem I had with Mass Effect, which I very much enjoyed other than the really unclear dialogue choices)

It's where I've been logging the most hours the last few days. Have Viith up to level 22. I'm going to feel bad at this point about pulling him out of his current guild maybe I'll roll another. Khem has been frustrating, seems to go down pretty quick against non-basic mobs. I also haven't been the best about equipping him well. Have about 30k credits too so still need a bunch over the next 3 levels for the speeder. Should have had slicing above 90 before Balmorra but now I'll know for next time.

Couldn't solo Into the Pit boss at level 20. Went back at 22 to finish it off.

Think I also scored with a Darth!

Yeah, I should've had Paolo into the 20s by now but I've been trying to get BT done before I take him to Dromund Kaas. No dice. Seems like no one's doing BT anymore so I'm stuck. I'll try again tonight though.

You really need to keep your companions equipped (especially the tank types) or else they're just short of useless (well, speed bump is technically 'useful' but...). You shouldn't have any money issues as long as you don't skip content/mobs while questing. Dashell had 8k at level 24 but by the time he dinged 25, he had 32k. And that was as a result of trying to keep Diplomacy skill high (if not maxed). I didn't buy a stitch of gear for Jorgan's worthless ass but right now, Elara's in a mix of blues with two purples (generator, earring). Her orange helm is also +1 to her (level 28 mods in it).

I've done BT every other day since I rolled a sith.

Yeah, I finally got it done on Paolo last night. Duo'd it with a BH. I've got a depth chart of my characters and Paolo isn't at the top of it so he'll have to wait a bit anyway. I put it together by how quickly they get their love interest so it looks like this:

1) Bounty Hunter (starts with Mako)
2) Sith Inquisitor (mid 30s: Ashara)
3) Sith Warrior (late 30s: the object of Darth Baras's obsession)
4) Imperial Agent (Temple doesn't come until the end of the game, just about)

May have to rethink that a bit. I don't think Temple's storyline ends the way the others do but I'll have to ask.

Seriously miffed here - helped my wife out by taking her Shadow through the Ancient Mysteries quest last night (if you've played it, you'll appreciate why a casual gamer like my wife would struggle with it - really need a healer if you're not quick with your medpacs).

Anyway, as part of it I decided to complete a side quest she had in the main part of the Jedi Ruins to help her level up to 16...

...and one of the mobs dropped a purple robe. I mean, great for my wife - 4k on the AH or a stack of points, but even so... If we were on the same server, I might have posted it to my main

*

My Warrior is coming along nicely. I've been having fun with the Revanite quests, but I'm struggling with the Dark Side options, so what Remi said above was interesting.

Some Dark Side choices are easy enough (kill the whiney man-child? Yep). Others aren't (Berate the Duchess?). Plus the lightsabre I want is Dark 1 or above... and I'm stuck firmly in Neutral. Hmmmph...

Oh, and the Auction House blows - but I imagine we all know that by now. Copy as much as you like from WoW*... but not the Auction House? Really?

(* - I admit WoW is pretty much the only MMORPG I've played, other than brief forays into Matrix and CoV. I'm sure the influences pre-date WoW, or were copied into WoW from other games in many cases.)

You know, I've only played RP servers so far, and I haven't come across anyone who's acted that way when I've played. There was one guy who invited me to his group and then went total megadouche and made me wait on him for "a couple of minutes" (half an hour) so he could finish up some quests on the other side of the world map, but most players on Sanctum have been friendly and pretty awesome. Aside from the weird racists who popped up in Dromund Kaas general chat, I mean.

Dromund Kaas general chat is my bestest friend.

It occurs to me that I should mention my characters' names.

Linsolv is a 13 BH... the tank one. Powertech?
Virulence is a 12 Sorcerer.

It's weird to hear people complain about how everyone plays DPS, cause I really don't enjoy DPSing. :X

Nice! The guild my sorcerer is in on Kathol Rift actually needs DPS! They have a ton of tanks and healers which seems very odd to me, but I guess a lot of people went with Sith Warriors early on or somesuch.

Remi - regarding the credits, once I finished the Into the Pit class quest storyline on Balmorra on the sorcerer it opened up a whole series of bonus quests in Bugtown. Up to 23 on Viith, but he's now sitting on 40k so at this rate I should be able to get the speeder and Piloting 1 and still have about 10k to spare once I reach 25. I love how I came back to Balmorra just to finish that one quest and now have been "delayed" here unexpectedly doing more and more to help the Empire.

Odd that I need to buy piloting for the speeder but they just give you a starship and say "have at it!"

I can't believe how the light side and dark side choices actually affect ME from time to time, so full points to Bioware and Lucas for immersion there. I actually had to re-roll my Imperial Agent I think or BH because I felt badly about killing some Force-sensitive kid's dad in front of him. I guess I couldn't make that character as ruthless as I had planned.

Even on the sorcerer or other toons when I thought I would just go with all dark side choices regardless of storyline because I was RP'ing the character as a nasty, dark side Sith there have been times where I've surprised myself and felt some empathy... like for the Evocii.

I've actually offed that guy twice now. My IA did it for loyalty to the Empire as the kid could be an asset, and my BH did it to fulfill the contract, as in " Nothing personal, but a job is a job." Now, if there had been an option to convince the father to give up the kid without offing him in those scenarios I probably would have taken it, but the options are pretty much let the kid go or off the dad.

I didn't realize that during the space missions hitting the spacebar makes you do barrel rolls. Since I accidentally discovered this I've actually been able to do a couple of space missions!
