K’Lee Hawkins vs. Mr Blood - DCO They fight, they fight, they fight.... The Manchester Seagulls vs. Pride Seagulls are great, but they're still the Seagulls. ![]() Wednesday week 3 August 2010 Edgware Hall, London Attendance: 2,000 ![]() Jeff Nova introduces tonight’s show from the ring. He seems pretty comfortable in his tux tonight after his successes in cleaning up his company a little last week. Jeff goes on to say that although things are getting back to how they were before his injury and absence earlier this year there are still pockets of malcontents and troublemakers. Other owners might be perturbed by this but not Jeff. He wasn’t Worlds Strongest man for shirking a challenge and so tonight Jeff is facing his troubles head-on. The main event will be Jeff teaming up with Joss Thompson to take on ex-World Champ Jonathan Faust and the out-of-control Pitbull Brown (who attacked Jeff Nova last week and has been demanding a title shot). A* ![]() ![]() The big TV shows Mel Florence backstage. The commentator looks great tonight and as always the camera loves her. She’s holding a mic and turns to face the man she’s talking to – Mr Blood. ![]() The big but dark man is as always smeared in blood across his pasty white face and is dressed in a dark robe. He’s pretty much a teenage goth’s dream. Blood takes the opportunity tonight to tell everyone again just how much he enjoys feeding on fear, weakness and pain and that he’s going to maximise how much he can do that by finally beating Grey Angel and winning the UK Title at We Will Rock You. Mel is slightly unsure as this match has NOT been sanctioned but is cowed by Mr Blood’s ferocity. C- Quote:
![]() ![]() Eddie Cornell is stalking through a corridor backstage. The friendly Northerner looks furious as he barges into a dressing room to confront The Assassin’s Guild. ![]() ![]() Cornell tells the Guild he’s had enough of their attacks and taunts and he wants to settle things in the ring. The guild initially reject the very idea (Why would they agree to that?) but come around to the idea and say that they’ll agree to a tag match tonight – as long as they can decide on Eddie’s partner. Eddie is unsure but decides that everyone in 21CW is a proven fighter so why not? The match is on. B+ ![]() ![]() Jeff Nova heads back to the ring to introduce the next match. There are some teams in21CW that need a bit of a boost so he’s giving 3 of them a chance to seize some tonight: ![]() ![]() La Revolution (Jacques Livarot & Pierre Beaujolais) haven’t been amazingly successful since they arrived but they are talented young men and dedicated trainers. ![]() ![]() The Strange Quarks (Energy Punk & Power Beast) have some real psychological problems but Jeff understands why they feel they have a problem. ![]() ![]() And although the Wildcards (Anarchy & Menace) are unorthodox Jeff respects anyone with passionate beliefs in positive change. B+ Quote:
![]() ![]() ![]() Pride (Dragon & Lionheart) head to the ring and kneel down inside it in vaguely Buddhist fashion. Dragon again says that although Snaptime have set the bar in terms of pure effectiveness they are the most disciplined and dedicated team in the company. ELIMINATION are bigger and stronger but they have failed to win the belts because they try to just attack Snaptime. Pride can succeed because they don’t want to be contrary – they want to use the champs own strengths against them. D- Quote:
![]() ![]() The screen shows the teenage monster War Machine. The huge young man is ensconced in a massive bath (it looks big enough for a whole rugby team) and pretty much finishes it. The young man refers to his attack last week and says that he doesn’t know who the attacker was but whoever it was that was brave enough is in for a treat – he’s getting a match for War machine’s Anarchy Trophy at We Will Rock You. All he has to do is show up. B ![]() ![]() Eddie Cornell heads to the ring alone. He’s joined there by the Assassin’s Guild who seem pretty pleased with themselves (in a smug and arrogant way). ![]() ![]() Eddie asks who he’s got – Wade Orson maybe? The Steamroller even? But no. The Guild stop smirking enough to introduce Eddie’s partner tonight: Half man. Half monkey. All ridiculous. Eddie will be teaming tonight with Hell Monkey. ![]() C Quote:
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Kathleen Lee heads to ringside with the current members of The Takeover; Merle O’Curle who is in the ring tonight as well as Steve Stoat and Nigel Svensson. She’s wearing her usual tight, leather dress and looks all business. Grabbing a mic the Rock Chick tells everyone in the building that although there have been some blips recently her group still holds the Tag belts and Steve Stoat is one of the more feared singles competitors in the company. They’re working all hours in the gym and she’s confident that they can back to the dominance they’ve shown before. Certainly Snaptime are very confident on beating the mock-Eastern tag pretenders Pride. In fact Kathleen confirms that they have agreed to a title match at We Will Rock You. Meanwhile Merle is in singles action tonight against another man with ideas above his station – Adam Matravers. B- Quote:
![]() ![]() ![]() Jeff Nova and Joss Thompson head to the ring ahead of their main event showdown with Pitbull and Faust. Both men reiterate that they have personal reasons for beating their opponents but the priority is defending 21CW against the type of scheming cheats and bullies that have no place in the company. Joss also mentions that although he respects Jeff Nova as a leader the American is in this company to win titles and big matches. And sooner or later there’s going to be conflict over the belt. Jeff responds by saying that Joss will get a big match at We Will Rock You. ![]() ![]() Pitbull and Faust enter together looking uneasy. They have fought together before but they’re an uneasy partnership at best. Pitbull says he’s beaten everyone in the company but the World Champ and owner Jeff and the attacks will keep coming until he agrees to a match. Faust says he still deserves the World Title and wants it back but tonight his hatred of Joss Thompson is more important. Either way he and Pitbull will be handing out a beating. A* Quote:
![]() After the match the carnage continues with Pitbull and Faust lambasting Joss and Jeff with the two chairs they have. Nova and the American are forced to retreat but as Pitbull, Faust and Hall brandish their chairs and gesture at the crowd Jeff grabs a mic: “You’ve gone too far tonight Pitbull. I’ve tried to show you a wee bit of respect but you’ve blown it now. You need a lesson teaching and I’m the one to teach it. “You’ve got your title match. At We Will Rock you it’s going to be you vs. me for the 21CW World Championship. “And because I don’t really trust you it’s going to be inside a steel cage.” B ![]() Overall show rating: B- |

Unfortunately it was hell Monkey's 1st and last show - he was only on a talent trade. I wanted someone silly to partner Edd so him losing would be justified and I thought about some of the chaps I've got in development but they didnt really fit:
So I just thought a silly new face would be the answer and although monkey is a great worker i thought he'd be good for the purpose. |

Another week in the bank and quite frankly I was pleased with the show. A few things moved on more than just standard chat promos, we had a surprise worker and at least one upset win. Nice.
The 3-way tag match was a bit thrown in but I thought it would be a fun diversion and airtime for some good teams. Quote:

You’re right. Merle isn’t really a 21CW guy at all but he has got over. I really should job him down a bit to make him a MC star. Quote:

So we had two chaps finish with 6/6. SMWilliams and Serotonin187. There can be only one though and Serotonin187 wins it on the tiebreaker. I wanted to keep the 3way match as short as possible and it clocked in at just 9-47. Given the company even that was probably too long. Congrats sir and help yoursdelf to any object youd like. Thanks everyone for reading, commenting and picking. I’ll announce the forthcoming matches at We Will Rock You in the next few days (even though there’s one week left before it). |

Though some Hell Monkey merch would be awesome but since he's only here for 1 show i doubt the shop would have some, so I'll take some Jonathan Faust merch please.

Business Jones vs. Steve Stoat
Toughest fight on the card to predicted, so I went with me favourite of the two Eddie Cornell & Joss Thompson vs. Hot Stuff Can't see Eddie and Joss losing here, unless The Assassin's Guild were to get involved beating down on Eddie but i don't see it Adam Matravers vs. Nigel Svensson Matravers is getting push Svensson isn't Lionheart vs Merle O’Curle The battle of two tag team guys and I loved to say O'Curle would win but I don't see it unfortunately ELIMINATION vs. The Brothers Ivanoff ELIMINATION!!!!!! Jacques Livarot vs. ??? Livarot is a jobber end off... TIEBREAK: Matravers is having a pretty decent time of it at the moment. What is the momentum of his girlfriend/manager Phoebe Plumridge? 58 |
