If Nuclear doesn't beat Phoenix then he's pretty much out of the running for the division based on head to heads with Phoenix and Diamond... I guess Nuclear had better win then, for Frankie if not for himself.

Pages should be updated, folks.
And to the one person who suggested a storyline thing for this week (you know who you are), I have not forgotten. We'll see how things proceed and if things fall into place, I will proceed with the plan. |

The Second Rope Dropkick was countered into a Single Leg Boston Crab.
That must have been something... ![]() EDIT: An artist's rendition ![]() Last edited by mjdgoldeneye : 03-23-2012 at 04:39 PM. |

He could have just slammed the guy down then turned him over into one, like Jericho did with the Walls.

Show will likely be delayed a day due to work issues and mandated yard work here at the End of Nowhere (among other things). Kayfabe reason: London's O2 Arena was double-booked.
![]() Prediction deadline pushed back a day to compensate; deadline is now Wednesday @ 8 pm EDT. |

Season Five, Week Sixteen London, England March 27, 2012 THE LEAGUE: SEASON FIVE, WEEK SIXTEEN London's O2 Arena is sold out tonight as The League comes ever closer to yet another postseason. Amidst one of the most raucous crowds in League history, we go to ringside and our usual three-person commentary crew. Bob Sinclair: Hello, everyone, and welcome to another week of The League! We're deep into the season now, with one division possibly being determined tonight and the other having a lot of people contesting for limited playoff spots! Tori Montgomery: By the end of tonight, we could be looking at a much clearer playoff picture, at least in the Omega Division, where Johnny Triumph could clinch the divisional title and be assured a spot in the League Championship in just three weeks' time! Frankie Garnett: I'm more interested in seeing the collapse of the fat man tonight, Tori. Your boy Phoenix is bound to start choking sooner rather than later, and we'll see that tonight! Bob Sinclair: Folks, we're not going to waste any more time; let's head to the ring and our opening match of the night! ALPHA DIVISION: Maxx Skabb (9-6, 16%) vs. Pizza Mask III (7-8, 4%) The theme to Samurai Pizza Cats plays as a van painted red with the words "Pizza Wagon" on the side comes down to ringside. Emerging from the van, the former backyard wrestler is seen in his trademark Pizza Hut uniform and new tights that resemble a cheese pizza on the left side, and a shot of PM3 bashing the Noid in the face with a chair. Reaching into the van to pull out a Pain Pizza, he hands it off to one lucky fan at ringside before hopping over the top rope and entering the ring to the cheers of the fans in attendance. Amelia Williams: Our opening bout this week is scheduled for one fall in the Alpha Division! Introducing first, from Your Friendly Neighborhood Pizzeria, weighing 199 pounds...Pizza Mask III! Bob Sinclair: Do either of you have any ideas as to PM3's recent cryptic Twitter messages that have been showing up over the last couple of weeks? Tori Montgomery: The whole "rule of three" thing? Best as I can tell, it's a reference to magic and sorcery, how the spell must be done three times in order to have full effect. Frankie Garnett: Atheist much? Tori Montgomery: And proud of it, thank you. Avenged Sevenfold's "Nightmare" blares throughout the arena as spotlights begin to pan over the audience, as if looking for someone. A dim red light shines on the entryway, revealing a hulking figure making his way to ringside, with two more men hiding just at the fringes of the spotlight, their eyes never leaving the form of the big man. As the refrain hits, the spotlights immediately focus on him as white strobe lights flash on the entrance stage. He slides under the bottom rope, his orange jumpsuit a stark contrast to most of the clothing in the audience as the song fades into silence. Amelia Williams: His opponent, from the Orange County Correctional Facility, weighing 289 pounds...Maxx Skabb! Bob Sinclair: Skabb needs help to get to the division lead, but is in prime position to make the playoffs this season regardless. Tori Montgomery: A win here will all but guarantee him a spot at this point in time; he could clinch later with a win and some help. Frankie Garnett: Clinch? What is this, some MMA stuff? Bob Sinclair: That was all impact from Skabb there, and I'm not sure how PM3 managed to kick out! Tori Montgomery: PM3's quite resilient, Bob. Look at how much punishment he's taken in the past, and is still going. Frankie Garnett: Not to mention he being brain-damaged is the catalyst behind this "Rule of III" nonsense. Maxx Skabb climbs the turnbuckles. Maxx Skabb hit the Flying Double Axe Handle Pizza Mask III slipped out the back of the Restraining Order. Bob Sinclair: And Skabb all but assures himself a spot in the postseason with his tenth win of the season! Tori Montgomery: Skabb wasted little time tonight, and rolls on into a potential tie for second in the division with that win. Frankie Garnett: Can we finally stop all of this nonsense about Pizza Mask being a playoff contender yet? PLEASE? OMEGA DIVISION: Rannulf von Krüshengberg (6-9, 19%) vs. Dante Lorenzo (5-10, 15%) Three Days Grace's "Riot" hits the speakers to a chorus of jeers as the first Italian-born member of The League emerges from the back, ignoring the crowd in the arena as he mentally prepares for his upcoming match. Reaching the ring, he climbs up the steps and enters between the ropes, his face never losing a look of confident indifference. Amelia Williams: This is an Omega Division bout scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Florence, Italy, weighing 291 pounds...Dante Lorenzo! Bob Sinclair: A loss here will eliminate Dante from playoff contention, which is a far cry from winning his division last season. Frankie Garnett: Then again, my mother could have won a division last season, given how many there were! Tori Montgomery: Isn't your mother dead, Frankie? Frankie Garnett: Exactly. The opening to Rammstein's "Mein Teil" hits the speakers as the largest member of The League emerges, causing everyone with something that could even remotely be considered food to get away from the entranceway as quickly as possible for fear of losing their food...and at least a body part or two. Amelia Williams: His opponent, from der Schwarzwald, Deutschland, weighing 421 pounds..."Der Panzer" Rannulf von Krüshengberg! Bob Sinclair: These two are no strangers to each other, given their usual tag team and the number of times they've faced each other in Europe over the years. Tori Montgomery: Last season, Dante was the better of the two; a Rannulf win would flip that idea on its head for certain. ALPHA DIVISION: Jack Lightning (6-9, 15%) vs. Diamond (9-6, 24%) Metallica's "Ride the Lightning" hits the speakers as the first Canadian to enter The League emerges from the back, looking surprisingly at ease as he steps onto the ring apron and leaps over the top rope. Climbing onto the turnbuckles, he raises an arm in the air and drinks in the cheers of the crowd before dropping back to the mat and preparing for his match. Amelia Williams: This is an Alpha Division bout scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from London, Ontario, weighing 233 pounds...Jack Lightning! Bob Sinclair: Lightning enters this week outside the top five, but has a chance to make the playoffs if he can pull a win out tonight. Tori Montgomery: I'm not sure I like his odds tonight. Frankie Garnett: No one likes his odds any night. Why else would Vegas continually make him a 10-1 long shot to win? "Don't Cha" hits the arena to a mixed reaction as The League's lone female member emerges from backstage. There is a confident smirk on her face as she talks trash with some of the louder fans before sprinting into the ring by diving under the bottom rope. As she stands, she proceeds to the corner nearest the announce table, hands thrown in the air as the soaks in the crowd reaction while her manager stands outside, also applauding her client. Amelia Williams: His opponent, accompanied to the ring by Jayde, from Aberdeen, Scotland, weighing 137 pounds...Diamond! Bob Sinclair: Much like her tag partner earlier on, a win will all but guarantee Diamond a playoff spot. Tori Montgomery: I think she's got a shot at it. OMEGA DIVISION: Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr. (9-6, 12%) vs. Ian Carlisle (4-11, 27%) Linkin Park's "What I've Done" blares through the arena as one of the League's youngest members steps into the arena. Introducing first, from Blackpool, England, weighing 222 pounds...Ian Carlisle! Bob Sinclair: Carlisle is out of the playoffs, but he's still looking forward to this match. Amon Amarth's "Death in Fire" hits the speakers, to a decent ovation he emerges from backstage, looking every bit the part of a Viking warrior as he strides to the ring with a determined look on his face...and scattering some of the fans away from the entrance ramp as he turns to glare at them. At ringside, his manager/League color commentator can be see giving him encouragement as the Viking enters the confines of the squared circle. A moment later, he slams both fists into the top step before looking up the heavens with a cry of "For the Fallen" coming from his lips. With no further ado, he steps between the ropes, ready to go to war once again. At ringside, Tori drops her headset to the table and walks towards his corner, taking the spot his estranged wife should be manning as he nods in recognition to her. As he gets to ringside, he quickly lashes out and kicks the top half of the steel steps off the bottom half, snarling as he slides into the ring and stands motionless, waiting for the bell to sound. Introducing first, from the Isle of Samoa, weighing 214 pounds...Master Imoka! Bob Sinclair: Tori joins me back at ringside, and just what did you tell Phoenix before the show began to get him that riled up? Tori Montgomery: Nothing, actually. With only two matches left in the regular season, and a two-match difference between fifth and tenth, technically everyone is still in the playoff hunt in this division, with PM3 currently having the inside track. With the logjam for fifth place in the division forming this week, that was all that Maxx, Diamond, and Nuclear needed to lock up spots in the playoffs. Phoenix's win over Nuclear gives him the opportunity to punch his ticket to the championship next week if he can get past Sebastian Moore, regardless of what those behind him do. OMEGA DIVISION 1. Johnny Triumph (13-3, 3.688 AMR) (CLINCHED DIVISION TITLE) 2. Master Imoka (10-6, 4.500 AMR) (CLINCHED: Playoff spot. Head-to-head tied, holds AMR tiebreaker over Maynard (4.500 vs. 4.313)) 3. Dante Lorenzo (5-11, 5.063 AMR) In the Omega Division, two competitors have been eliminated from playoff contention, as Dante Lorenzo joins Ian Carlisle on the outside looking in. Robbie Maynard clinches a spot in the tournament this week, leaving two spots up for grabs and five wrestlers looking to fill those two spots. Johnny Triumph has locked in his spot in the championship match, giving him an opportunity to become the League's first-ever two-time Champion. He will be watching next week closely, as his opponent could be decided in next week's main event match. Ben Stanton could lock up a spot next week with some help from others in the division, while Super Century clings desperately to the fifth and final playoff spot in the division, with a resurgent Rannulf and Sean on his heels.
