![]() ============================================= Sunday Week 3, October 1994 from the Carrier Dome ============================================= Usual Free For All show at the beginning where Todd runs through the card and gives his usual dose of cheesiness! FREE FOR ALL MATCH Marty Jannetty def. Tom Pritchard Jannetty comes out all guns firing! He pretty much dominates Pritchard for the most part, however Pritchard does get in some offence, however "The Dr. of Desire" lands hard on his head and Jannetty covers for the pinfall. EMT's come out and stretcher Pritchard from the ring. Vince McMahon: Hello and Welcome to the 3rd In Your House Pay-Per-View Event! I'm Vince McMahon, alongside my broadcast partners, Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler. What a show we have tonight. Jim Ross: That's right Vince, a lot of scores to be settled tonight, like our Main Event where Dustin Rhodes will be challenging for the title against Bret Hart! Jerry Lawler: And let's not forget, Randy Savages last ever match in the WWF! Shawn Michaels is going to beat him all over the ring, that is a guarantee. Vince McMahon: Let's kick things off with our first match between Razor Ramon and Bam Bam Bigelow! MATCH 1 Razor Ramon def. Bam Bam Bigelow In a brutal hard hitting match, Razor Ramon and Bam Bam Bigelow went at each other like mortal enemies! A stiff shot from Bigelow, busted Razors mouth however that didn't deter the Bad Guy who came back at Bigelow with avengeance. Razor even managed to hit the fallaway slam on the big man to the crowds delight. Ramon was about to set Bigelow up for the Razors Edge when DiBiase jumped up and distracted him. Ramon hit DiBiase with a huge right hand, but it was enough for Bigelow to come back into the match. Razor finally hit Bigelow with the Razors Edge to pick up the pinfall victory. After the match, an exhausted Ramon asked for a mic from ringside. Razor Ramon: Hey Bigelow. We're done man. You stay out of my business and I won't beat you like a dog. Understand? Our beef is finished. Shawn Michaels, Randy Savage. After tonight one of you will have what I want and believe me I'm coming to get it. MATCH 2 Jeff Jarrett def. Doink The Clown Doink was looking leaner and took the match to Jarrett in the early going with some impressive moves however, Jarretts underhanded tactics proved useful and he hit a sneaky low blow on Doink to turn the tide. From this point on it was pretty much all Jarrett. Double J finished the match with the Russian Legsweep before applying the Figure Four to pick up the submission win. Vince McMahon: Let's go backstage where Lex Luger is standing by with Todd. Todd: Hi Vince, yes I am here with Lex Luger, and Lex I've got to ask, who is your partner tonight? Lex Luger: Todd, I have looked everywhere for a partner, and then I realised, Lex Luger doesn't need a partner. I am in peak physical shape and could beat any 2 men in the WWF on my own. There is not a duo who could withstand the raw power I bring to the table. I'm going to go out there, and kick both their Canadian asses all over the ring. However our President in his infinite wisdom has said if I don't get a partner then I have to forfeit the match. Regardless of who decides to show up by my side, I'm going out there to win, not just for me, but every one of the people who like me are sick of having foreigners take our dollars and spit on out flag. Hart and Martel are going to be getting the beating of their lives! I might even put both of them in the Torture Rack at the same time! Todd: There you have it. A pumped up Lex Luger ready to fight! MATCH 3 - Tag Team Title Match Smoking Gunns def. Adam Bomb & I.R.S. to retain A solid match saw plenty of tags and plenty of underhanded cheap shots from DiBiase's men. Billy looked a little off his game, looking over his shoulder and missing vital chances to tag in. Adam Bomb almost caused the shock of the night when he got a near fall on Billy Gunn midway through. Bomb and I.R.S. then cut off the ring, taunting Bart Gunn whilst beating down on Billy. Billy finally makes the cliche "hot tag" to Bart who cleans house on Bomb and I.R.S. The Gunns pick up the pinfall victory when Bart hits a huge clothesline and leg drop on I.R.S. for the 3 count. As the Smoking Gunns celebrated, another video begins to play on the screen. Voice: Billy and Bart Gunn. I want my property back. One way or another I am going to get it from you. But first... A CCTV video begins to play showing Bart Gunn talking with Ted DiBiase in a restaurant! The 2 look to be smiling and joking around .After the "meeting" Bart walks off clutching a small holdall. As the video finishes and we return to the ring, Billy is asking Bart what the hell that was all about with Bart looking guilty and trying to calm him down with Sunny stepping in between the 2 of them. MATCH 4 - "Ravens Rules" The Undertaker def. Raven The match started as any normal match would, with Undertaker throwing Raven about the ring! Taker set up Raven for the Tombstone early on but Raven wriggled out of it then rolled out of the ring. He took a microphone and said these were his rules so rule 1, Undertaker could not use the Tombstone! Raven re-entered the ring and again Undertaker over powered Raven. Again Raven left the ring and said rule 2, he could use weapons - and promptly grabbed a chair. He went to hit Undertaker with it, bit The Deadman ducked it and again began unleashing a flurry of rights and lefts - once more Raven left the ring and stated rule 3 - No DQ's! With that The Barbarian and Carl Pierre enter the ring, but again Undertaker fights them off and then grabs a mic himself and states, Ravens rule #4... Rest in Peace and goes after the twisted genius! Raven somehow manages to get in some offence himself following a low blow on the Undertaker which takes the deadman down to one knee. Raven then dropkicks the Undertaker. Undertaker comes back, however Carl Pierre takes the Undertakers knee out with a lead pipe! Raven then uses a steel chair to beat down the Undertaker, before picking him up and hitting the Evenflow DDT. The Undertaker kicks out and sits up! Raven again hits him hard with the chair, but it doesn't phase the Deadman who stands up. Carl Pierre again tries to interfere but this time Undertaker hits him with a giant chokeslam before hitting a big boot on Barbarian who also attempted a cheap shot. Undertaker stalks Raven and hits him with a chokeslam too for the 3 count. After the match the lights go out and when they return, Undertaker has gone, but the carnage remains lying sprawled in the ring. Backstage, Lex Luger is talking to someone who is off camera. Lex Luger: I can do this alone, but Jack Tunney says I have to have a partner. We've been friends for so long I know if anyone will have my back it's you so lets kick some Canadians back across the border. I'll see you out there. MATCH 5 Lex Luger & Barry Windham def Owen Hart & Rick Martel Windham turns out to be Lugers partner after a hiatus from the busines. Martel and Windham lock up in the early going with Windham powering through Martel. The Model makes a tag to Owen who uses his speed to get the better of Windham. Barry eventually tags out to Luger who goes after Owen, but Hart tags out to Martel. Luger beats on Martel showing no mercy before turning his attention to Owen Hart on the outside. HArt at this point jumps off the apron and tries to head back up the aisle, however Barry Windham blocks his escape and throws him into the ring where Luger unleashes strike after strike on the "Blackhart". The finish comes when Luger hits Owen with the loaded forearm as Windham hits Martel with a powerbomb. Luger locks in the Torture Rack and Owen taps furiously. Lex refuses to release the hold, but barry Windham manages to persuade him. After the match Luger and Windham shake hands, as Owen and Martel are left nursing the beating they suffered. Vince McMahon: I'm told Todd has someone backstage with him. Todd who you got? Todd: Thanks Vince. I'm here with the "American Nightmare" Dustin Rhodes. Dustin, tonight you have somehow earned a title shot, despite only being here a short while. Do you think you deserve to jump to the ehad of the pack? Dustin Rhodes: What kind of stupid question is that? I didn't jump to the front of anything, I was born a winner, I was born a champion and tonight when I beat Bret Hart, you will see that the time spent here is irrelevant when you're as tough as I am. Who in the WWF deserves it more? Yokozuna? Bret beat him. Owen Hart? Bret beat him twice. Maybe we should get Abe Schwartz out and have him the number 1 contender? No exactly, I am the best thorough bred athlete in this company. I am the "American Nightmare" Dustin Rhodes, your next WWF World Champion! MATCH 6 - Intercontinental Title vs. Career match Shawn Michaels def. Randy Savage Randy Savage started the match out like... well a guy fighting for his career! He hit Shawn with everything but the kitchen sink, however after missing with the big elbow drop, the match turned in Shawns favour and HBK tok advantage hitting a huge splash off the top for a 2 count. Shawn took full control of the match, but too much showboating meant Randy again got the upperhand. He knocked Michaels to the outside and then jumped from the apron with a double axe handle smash. He whipped Shawn into the railings and steel steps before re-entering the ring. Michaels made it back in at the count of 9. Savage then hit another Axe Handle, this time from the second rope before climbing to the top again. Jerry Lawler at this point left the commentary table and jumped up, pushing Savage off the top rope as the referees attention was diverted by Shawn Michaels. As Savage slowly stood up Shawn hit the Sweet Chin Music for the 3 count and the victory. After the match, Jack Tunney came out flanked by some WWF officials. Jack Tunney: No. We are not going to have the Macho Mans career end on a tainted note. Jerry Lawler, I am relieving you of your commentary duties, so you now have no need to be at ringside. You have 2 minutes to get to the back or you will be suspended without pay! Referee, re-start this match! MATCH 6 (Restarted) Randy Savage and Shawn Michaels draw - Double Countout Savage has had time to recover from the Sweet Chin Music and goes after Shawn with a vengeance. Savage looks set to hit the elbow drop, but Shawn once more gets out of the way and Savage comes crashing down to the mat. Shawn attempts another Sweet Chin music but doesn't fully connect and Savage kicks out. Michaels looks to have had enough, rolls out of the ring and grabs his belt before heading backstage! Savage gives chase and the two brawl in the aisle, neither one realising that the referee was counting. All of a sudden the bell rings and the announcement is made that both men have been counted out! This doesn't deter either one and soon the locker room spills out to break them up, with the crowd chanting "Let them go". Does this mean Savage has to leave? Vince McMahon: I have had word from Jack Tunney that tomorrow night on Raw, we will have the WWF's decision with regards to Randy Savages status. He didn't win the match... Jim Ross: But he didn't lose it either Vince. The match will go down as a draw. Vince McMahon: Well we will find out tomorrow. I can't believe what King tried to do, he'll be paying for his actions no doubt about it. MAIN EVENT - WWF World Title Match Bret Hart def. Dustin Rhodes Dustin Rhodes took a cheap shot at Bret as the Hitman was handing the title to the referee and began beating down on him. He hit Bret with a huge DDT for a 2 count before nailing a leg drop for another 2 count. Bret fought back and soon had Rhodes begging off. Rhodes poked Bret in the eye and again took advantage with a clothesline that turned the Hitman upside down. Rhodes attempted a Boston Crab but Hart rolled through into a leg grapevine, Rhodes grabbed the ropes and Hart was forced to break the hold. Hart stomps on the midsection of Rhodes before drilling him with an axehandle elbow to the sternum. Hart drags Rhodes tot he center of the ring and attempts to lock in the sharpshooter but Rhodes fights back and knocks Hitman down. Dustin hits the reverse DDT (which he is calling Rhode to Nowhere) but Hart kicks out! Dustin argues with the referee and Bret rolls him up for a 2 count. Bret then hits a running lariat and another axehandle elbow drop before applying the Sharpshooter. Rhodes taps out and Hart is declared the winner by submission. Following the match Bret celebrates by the fans as Dustin looks down with anger, anger which he directs at the referee by hitting him with a Rhode to Nowhere! |

Love the way you capture mid-90s WWF while mixing in the Crocket boys pretty effortlessly. One of my favorites dynasty's on here right now. Windham as Lugers partner? Love it! Savage vs Shawn? Good god! And Dustin Rhodes as a heel serious main eventer? About damn time.
I have an inkling on who's behind CCTV! |

Highly enjoyable format as far as presentation goes. Maybe save that style for your Pay Per Views? I am sure it was a pain in the ass! |

I agree. Saving it for PPV's will make them feel more special. Quick Question: Is the Road to Nowhere the same move as the Curtain Call, or something else?

Any chance of revealing your grades (even show grades)? I always find it tough with this mod to book like its 1994 without having terrible shows.

I think I'll take the idea to use this format for PPV's only like you and Chuck have said. I like the layout, just it took me hours to do that one show when normally I could have written up Raw in an hour. |

Been doing some catching up with this diary and all I can say is you're doing a fantastic job with it, being original while sticking to the mid 90s at the same time. Fabulous!
On a sidenote, those pics you used - I've never ever seen them for download anywhere (and the pics that come with the 1994 mod are quite a clusterf*** tbh >_<). Any chance of uploading them somewhere or do you have a link to a download? |

I made them specific for this diary so only have the people on my roster. You can get them from my photobucket account if you want them (you will probably have to rename them when you save them). http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v2...01994%20Diary/
