Also this is the "creative" thread, so I don't want anyone to feel stuck with what they usually do or one of the gimmicks the game comes with. Creating/cloning gimmicks is easy, and allows for a lot more nuance- think back to all the colorful characters you've seen in wrestling; a lot of them won't easily fit into one of the default gimmicks. I mean was Ultimate Warrior a wholesome babyface doing the evolution of the Native American gimmick on steroids (no pun intended)? Or was he doing a "crazy" or "unique" gimmick about a guy from another planet who was powered by weirdo spirits? As far as BBS, I did say no wholesome gimmicks and asked for something a little different than SWF's other babyfaces, so a wholesome super hero who teams up with other super heroes is not really what I'm looking for. And personally I don't like giving a realistic "bad ass" gimmick to a guy that the casual fans don't recognize, either. I tend to save that for the guys that basically can just be themselves, whereas BBS is still trying to be noticed. |

So here's an idea for 'Dozer:
The Masked Bulldozer In essence a fun babyface gimmick using his masked alt. The main idea is that he's super lucha ... except in the ring, where he bulldozer's people over. Could have some fun interviews where he speaks "Spanish" and promises to win "por la gloria y esplendor de America" and other face stuff. Then, in ring punch, kick, smash, win. Cue the stereotypical Mexican music, and lucha poses, even though there was no flips or speed at all. |

I've used Bulldozer as The American Bulldozer, a patriot who well Bulldozes through heels to build him up the card, much like Ryback facing jobbers who denounce the city they're in and also those who insult America.

I'm not sure you need something to make him stick out from the pack. Heck you can have him with a brute style gimmick and just have him dominate 1 minute matches. You don't need something different, you just need to know the game's formula. Don't even need a storyline.

Um... that's not really the point of this thread. I'm pretty sure he knows you can get people over by having them squash others.
In fact it's the complete opposite point of this thread, because it's nothing to do with mechanics and EVERYTHING to do with the storylines. |

Maybe Brandon bets on every match he's in... but he always backs himself to win. You can play that up and work a different form of 'fighting champ' gimmick off that; not the Gambler, but a gimmick built around absolute confidence, each match, that he'll get the one-two-three.

Hey guys, need some help in my WCW 2012 game. For a little background, I started in December of 2011 with every wrestler as a free agent. I'm currently in April 2012, have a TV show on Friday nights that runs for two hours. My main feud at the moment is Chris Jericho (World champion, heel), Sheamus (face), MVP (heel), and AJ Styles (face), battling it out for the World title.
My problem lies in what to do with the rest of my main eventers. Christian Cage (heel), Cody Rhodes (heel), and Mason Ryan (heel). In my upper mid card, I have Brian Kendrick (face), Bryan Danielson (heel, US champ), David Otunga (face), Jake Hager (heel), Joe Hennig (face), and Ted DiBiase (heel) all with nothing going on. I'm horrible at coming up with any good ideas and I seem to have a cluster of wrestlers that I need something for. Any help? |

A face and a heel second gen star (Hennig v. DiBiase/Rhodes) so there are two easy feuds. |

^ with Danielson having the US title belt as well, could make it an interesting feud for the belt. I wish WWE paid more attention to those other belts like that.
Could have Hennig fight against Ted and Cody, or turn him and have him join forces with them. |

Think of it like an old wrestling poster- you can put maybe three big matches on the card, and it's the job of those 3 to sell tickets/buy ppvs. The rest can be basically anything. You can have a few months of a guy like Hennig just picking up victories against lower card guys. You can also build up new faces that aren't "names" by having them work a program with your bigger stars- most guys would improve on the mic and in the ring from working with Christian for a couple of months. |

Thanks for the help, guys. I was thinking of doing a Brian Kendrick vs. Bryan Danielson feud for the US title, I even had them fight on a recent PPV, with Danielson cheating to win. I'm gonna involve Kendricks manager/storyline girlfriend Rima Fakih into the feud.
I also started a storyline between Joe Hennig, Ted DiBiase Jr., and Cody Rhodes. It will be DiBiase and Rhodes trying to get Hennig on their side and Hennig turning them down. I brought up Reid Flair from dev and I'm going to involve him in a feud with Christian Cage, Mason Ryan, and David Otunga. Once again, thanks for the help and the tips. |

The characters may be a little late to the party, but since I have Shelton Benjamin and Seth Rollins as a tag team(both heels) and their chemistry had been noted to be spot on, I am considering their characters to be slightly based on real life people. With Seth Rollins having the last name Rollins, I want to use Henry Rollins as the foundation of Seth's character. He'll be taking a vacation to wait out the gimmick change time limit, but when he comes back he should have an Edgy-heel gimmick.
For Shelton, in the pic pack as I was sifting through his pics, I came across one that made me think of this gigantic egomaniac rapper. Now many rappers have that big ego, but damn I think one of the interestingly obnoxious egos would be Kanye and his claims to be the voice of a generation and the Michael Jordan of rap, so Shelton would be calling himself the Jordan of Wrestling and claiming that every match he's involved in is 'match of the century' candidate |

So I'm bringing Ash Campbell to the SWF, and Nemesis as well. Nemesis books himself, no problems there. Ash, on the other hand, is a mediocre wrestler and I'm at a bit of a loss how to book him.
My roster is slightly heel-heavy, but not so much I'm ruling out making him a heel. I'm inclined to push him in singles to start, but the right team-mate could make a tag team viable. I have no set ideas for gimmick, disposition, anything. The only thing I know for certain is that I don't want him to start out associated with Nemesis, or their relationship acknowledged at all. |
