Default Turning Point main event

So its been announced that TNA Turing Point's main event will be Styles Vs Daniels Vs Samoa Joe for the title. I am personally very excited for this becuase the last time these 3 meet in a triple threat match they put on the last match that Dave Meltzer gave a 5 star to in North America. Anyone else as excited as I am for this?

I'm not a huge TNA fan (while I can't stand the WWE and really really really wish TNA could stand as the company I want it to be), I'm interested in a main event where it's 3 of their own competing for the title. There's no need for Sting, Nash, Steiner, etc. Those guys are great and all, Give them a secondary main event if you want... But, I'm actually quite intrigued by a main event with these three.

Kudos to TNA for finally focusing a main event on their own, home grown, stars.

Kinda.

I'm cautiously optimistic. TNA is known for taking good 'on paper' matchups and completely screwing them so they don't live up to the billing. I hope this is one of the few exceptions. I also wonder how they plan to build to that main event, given the hierarchy in the MEM (Joe has always seemed like the third wheel) and the fact that Daniels just fought for the MIDCARD title. Can you really go from midcarder to main eventer in a few weeks?

How did Samoa Joe and Daniels get into this title match? Samoa Joe came out from BFG losing to Lashley in 9 minutes by submission. Daniels didn't win his match at BFG and may have a shoulder injury.

Oh, I haven't been watching TNA much lately. They are really pushing Daniels from a recent midcard title shot to a main event title shot? Chances are he didn't win the midcard title, or else he wouldn't be in the match, so any sort of momentum seems completely destroyed from that loss.

I guess I spoke to early...

two years ago i would have loved this........now......hmmm not so sure. Joe has lost a step in the last few month. This whole nation of violence thing did not go any where and he is not being booked very strong right now. I have seen the three of them go in the ring and it is a great match but that was a while ago. chris has lost alot of weight it looks like, joe has slowed down alot and well aj is still aj......he can be great when needed to be. I hope it is a good match.

With the sudden youth movement they think this is what the fans want so they are giving it to them. No real backstory...just indy style match booking. Throw out the talent and let them goto town.

if they are going to go straight "indy" style booking it would be intresting. I have never seen a company with a tv show and monthly ppv's do anything like that.

It won't go that far but that might try to give that impression. At the end of the day they still need story telling, and entertainment value to bring in the casual fan/kid.

Well they have four shows to make it logical and Daniels didn't look weak in not winning Ultimate X and with Joe they can make it that Angle is distracted with that new young punk attacking him and with Booker/Steiner and Nash loosing he only trusts Joe to take his spot for the title as Joe didn't look that weak in defeat either. I think all three can still go it just depends on the night but it sure will be a good match.

Time for Sting, Nash and Steiner to put over some talent but still look good in defeat before they leave and we will see what the TNA originals can do rating wise etc on their own + Angle.

No logic behind the match and Daniels' heelturn smells all over the place given the recent spoilers of the iMPACT first taping after BFG. But.. How great the match will be and I hope it will be, it will not top the five star classic they had in Unbreakable 2005 for the X Title.

As you gave the link I just love that TNA has those classic matches on free Youtube. I would think they would advertise it more or integrate it with their video vault. TNA needs a lot of things but a good webmaster would be a priority imho.

Joe's fat now and nothing I've seen of him in over a year is very impressive. He's looked no better than your standard big bodied guy who can pull off a few impressive moves here or there.

Joe has always been fat. He's Samoan, what do you expect? Maybe he's just getting lazy.

I kind of want TNA to be all about Rhino just murdering people constantly now that I have seen some of their more recent stuff. Not even with gores, just potatoing fools in the skull with his giant fists until they die. Bonus points if he starts with Don West.

Bobby Lashley should have been in this match instead of Samoa Joe. Lashley made Samoa Joe submit at BFG.
