Default NCAA Football 10 [The Game] - Heisman Difficulty?

I've only played on Heisman on PS2 in the past and felt that it was super-human. I always found myself losing like crazy as I was never able to run the ball, and they would pick off everything I threw.

Now, my problem is, (now on X360)... I'm getting way to good for my difficulty level.

I'm currently on AA, and have the CPU up to 100 on everything. Yet, I'm still winning pretty badly... Example, I'm facing CAL (with Hawaii) in the 5th year of my dynasty. They are an A overall and I'm a B+... Also the game is taking place in Cal... Yet, at halftime, I'm winning 35-0.

I mean, I love to win... but would love realism more.

Is Heisman difficulty just not fair? Or can you win, and still obtain stats, on that level?

Wouldn't the fact that you have everything at 100 for the CPU already compensate for whatever level you're picking? From my experience, All-Madden (or Heisman) difficulty is incredibly cheap.

Have you checked out Operation Sports as far as good sliders for each difficulty? They would definitely have more insight on Heisman difficulty.

Heisman is much tougher and I am actually impressed with how they have curved the difficulty this year. You can still win on Heisman but it wont be 50-0 (depending on your quarter length, mine is 4 minutes) I usually win by 2 td average I would say playing as Nebraska

What I like most this year is they have limited the speedsters in the game since last year on Heisman I would be winning 50-0 simply b/c my position players all had 97-99 speed despite having poor other relative stats but this year I think the fastest i have recruited is a 95.

Can you put up realistic stats on Heisman? My fear is that (even with a OL of 88 or higher across) that it will be much like Madden where I won't actually be able to run the ball what so ever. I mean, I know when I'm facing LSU that I should expect to only run the ball for 75-125 yards since their D is amazing. But, I'm getting to the point where when I face teams like Boise State... My RB (While he is amazing) is pulling down 200+ yards with no problem really. ha.

I want realistic stats (the ability to be competitive), however, It's no fun destroying teams 62-7 on average. ya know?

The stats are more realistic, for example I have a fast rb this year (93 but as i mentioned fast ppl are much harder to come by) so I am running a lot more sweeps and running plays than passing plays and I'd say he is averaging 125/150 yards and 2/3 tds a game but I am only throwing 1 or 2 tds as well, so you can get stats, you just cant get stats for everyone like you could on the other modes. For example of competitiveness I just beat Oklahoma as Nebraska 37-31, so it was high scoring and close but at the same time I just beat Kasas state 21-0 so i didnt really blow them out in real life terms but in game terms I have.

Great!

Now I just need to find a team that I want to play as. I wanted to start a new dynasty since I had been playing the last one on an easier difficulty level and was doing too well. ya know? So now, I don't know if I should be one of these teams here:

Baylor
Boston College
Colorado
Indiana
Michigan State
USF

I have no idea who I want to be, as you can see. ha. I want a team that will be able to keep up with a CPU at a "Heisman" difficulty level but I don't want to play as a 5-6 star team as that's never fun for me. ha.

I played as MSU since I am originally from Michigan and IMO they are one of the best Dynasty teams to play as since they are decent but not great and the big 10 is hard to win and def will not be a walk in the park but when you do beat the good teams it is that much more rewarding, however like most northern teams recruiting is tough since most of the best in game ppl come from California, Texas, and Florida.

USF is a good choice cuz of recruiting in Florida and they might eventually invite you the SEC/ACC (not sure which one USF goes to) which will be fun once you become 5/6 stars

Once I win my third straight BCS championship to get that trophy I will probably be moving to FLorida instead of Nebraska

I think I'm leaning toward the University of Indiana after seeing that they have an all-time record of like 450-600 or something. wow. I never thought a team in the big ten could be that bad but I guess someone has to loose. haha. It would be fun to try to turn them around but as you said, recruiting is a lot harder up in the Big Ten.

I would be Minnesota, since i know their team best, however, it's really annoying that they didn't put their new stadium in the game. They just put a generic one up. Seems really fake.

I have to say... Normally, I'm a sucker for a cool jersey and a cool stadium though. haha. However, I've played as Oregon, Hawaii, Illinois, etc. up until this point so there really aren't any other ones out there in which to look at. I know, it sounds stupid, but if you're stairing at a game a lot... You want it to look nice. haha.
