Why don't you explain exactly what you are having trouble with? Otherwise it's pretty hard to deal with this suggestion.

It's not just what I'm having trouble with, it's the fact that the editor is large and that the character creation portion of it alone will need a manual (belt & number equivalant ranges, explaination of abilities and attributes, etc) so the paragraph of information in the help file that's attempting to cover the whole editor just isn't enough.

I still need you to be more specific though, as what you've written doesn't help me identify the issue. Taking your examples, the "belt and number equivalents" is completely irrelevant and doesn't need to be given (the belt graphics are purely a cosmetic feature, only the stats themselves are important) and the "abilities and attributes" are all pretty self-explanatory - looking through them, I can't see any that would confuse anybody with even a basic knowledge of MMA.

In short, you yourself have said that you're not having trouble with it, and there are a handful of excellent large in-depth mods made by people who don't appear to have had any need for deeper explanations, so I'm just not seeing where the need for this suggestion comes from - it's coming across as more a suggestion for completeness' sake than actually being something that is necessary.

I think he means ( If im correct seeing how I myself tried to figure this out) What values in each stat category gives you what rating ( belt Ranking) in the Scouting report etc. For example like over what Value will designate a fighter as a power puncher and such, I tried to figure this out my self but it seems the values are not the same for each category.

I think what he's asking for is pretty self evident.

What does everything mean? For example do tactics matter? How much does Footwork effect power, and accuracy? How does Ground Control affect my fighter if I give him high Attacking and Defensive Positioning? What the hell does the clinch stat do in Stand-up etc, etc, etc.

I'm not much of a manual guy in fact, when I hear tech guys say RTFM! I roll my eyes, but others are not that way, and would like to know or would like to at least have a floating blurb point them in the right direction on somethings.

The Manual itself lacks information to help those wanting to develope characters or Databases. I don't think I can put what I was aiming to say in simpler terms. Ofcourse it's for "completeness sake", hence the title "More Indepth Editor Manual." Is it necessary? It depends on who's using the editor really. It's possible to create mods without it true, but you'd basically have to go into the already created characters and looks at their stats to get a range of what's considered average verses what's considered above average. I mentioned the belts because I'm sure some would like to know for example what range makes a blue belt vs what range makes a purple belt for more accurate stats, plus those cosmetics are what sticks out to the person playing the game and if you checked those threads from the handful of people who made mods? You'll also see a handful of people telling them the stats for some fighters are inaccurate. But whatever, I see you're not hot on the idea and I'm not going to try and convince you to improve your own manual when you don't want to.

You needn't try and make out that I'm not doing it out of laziness - look around the rest of the forum and you'll see that I'm more than happy to make modifications that people want.

The reason I'm not receptive to your suggestion is that I don't think it's remotely necessary, and none of your arguments have changed my mind so far - your latest two haven't altered that, as the "needing to know what the average is" doesn't make sense (as long as you're consistent throughout the database, the average is whatever you want it to be) and the "cosmetic" argument is simply flawed (again, they're simply a mask, it makes absolutely no difference what the belt colour is, and in fact actively makes mods worse if people attempt to match up the colours).

If you come up with a good reason for it then it'll get done, same as any other viable suggestion, but so far you've not even come close to making a good argument in favour of it, to the point that I think you're now arguing for the sake of "winning" and not because you actually really want this.

Winning? Winning what exactly? Is there some prizethat I don't know about? Something that's shipped my way should I convince you to add on to your own game? This is the suggestion section, right? Place where members make suggestions on how to improve the game? Wasn't aware this was the out argue Adam and win a prize section, I'm not here to argue on a message board, kind of grew out of that years ago. But if you want to feel like you've stopped me from winning something...congrats?

Shut it. You're doing nothing more but arguing for the sake of arguing. Which it is actually pretty sad that you have the time and the motivation for this.
