How does Ventura not know who Liger is? Don't you remember Superbrawl II?
Jushin Thunder Liger versus Flyin' Brian Pillman. What an awesome match -that- was. Venture and a very green JR were commentating. Not a bad PPV, gotta learn the right formula for SE shows though! I learned it in TEW2004, 'Angle', Match, 'Angle' 'Interview', Match, 'Angle', Match and so on. For every match you have, you need to have at least one angle to appease the crowd. Even though Cruisers don't fare well in this style, I always considered WCW to be more of a traditional style of promotion. Somehow I feel it would fit your booking style more, even if you couldn't use Juventud and the like in their high-flying matches. Now.. Joe over JBL? Bah! Joe will tank, and you'll find yourself crawling back to JBL. Though, dunno how Joe would dominate JBL .. JBL weighs more then Joe and is 5 inches taller. It's a game, oh well. Goldberg over 'Tista? Aww. 'Least Orton went over. |

I'm going for a an Invasion type angle and I don't wanna do it WWE style where all the outsiders are buried. The major reason the nWo invasion worked so well is because they were put over big on arrival
I knew I was gonna get punished for not enough angles but hey it's a PPV I had all those matches booked in aadvance. As for Ventura not remembering Liger, Ummmm. It was in '92 and I know it was a legendary match that's 13 years ago and he's been a Governor and ran for president since then ![]() Last edited by Genadi : 10-29-2005 at 02:13 AM. |

After Last nights events there is no telling what we can expect tonight. Ventura: I think we can expect one thing Tenay and that's that The Undertaker won't be showin up here in Hartford! (Sting's music hits and he enters the squared circle) Sting: Suprise, Suprise the Stinger is here, victorious! Was there any doubt I would bury The Undertaker? Well last night was a lesson, A lesson to all of you in the back who think us "has beens" don't belong here. This is our show! We made this company, And now..... We're gonna take it back. It's showtime folks) (A*) Tenay: Well Sting obviously referring to the rift in the lockerroom between the loyal WWE wrestlers and the WCW guys. Charlie Haas vs Steve Corino Haas counters everything Corino throws at him until eventually locking him up in a chicken wing crossbar. Corino fights back but Haas counters again and locks on a sleeper. Corino pushes Haas off into referee Charles Robinson knocking him out. Haas hits a DDT on Corino and he's out too. CM Punk comes running in and hits the Pepsi Clutch on Haas then drags Corino on top of him. The ref comes to and makes the count. Corino via pinfall 11:43 (B) (Bill Goldberg is seen arriving backstage) (A) New Jack vs Sean O'Haire - WCW Hardcore Title The announcing really helped this match as Tenay puts New Jack's hardcore history over and O'Haire's MMA background. New Jack nails OHaire with a toaster and it's all over. New Jack via pinfall 4:59 (C+) (Orton is seen backstage bragging to some pretty girls about his win last night over the legend Diamond Dallas Page) (A) Tenay: Randy Orton definitely lived up to his name last night at Halloween Havoc Mach Man, against a man you have had your fair share of battles with over the years. Savage: I can tell you brother DDP is not an easy guy to beat, personally I think the kid got lucky last night! Ventura: I'm sure he did get lucky last night Macho Man, Just not in the ring (laughs) Tenay: Let's try to remember this is a family show guys Rey Mysterio & Paul London vs Super Crazy & Psicosis The Mexicools double team London early. Psicosis has him in their corner when London ducks a spinnig back kick that connects with Super Crazy. London recovers and makes the hot tag. Mysterio cleans house and hits the 619 and West Coast Pop for the win. London & Mysterio via pinfall 14:40 (B-) (A video is played of last nights debut of Jushin Liger) (C) (A vignette is played of last night's squash match between Samoa Joe & JBL) Samoa Joe vs JBL - WCW Television Title JBL pumped up as ever goes straight for a Clothesline From Hell and hits it, 1,2.... Joe kicks out to a gasp from the Hartford Civic Center. JBL picks him up and tries again, Joe ducks and locks on the Triangle Choke, JBL passes out again. Joe via pinfall 1:34 (B) Title Defence 1 (Raven is backstage with Ted Turner, he tells him he wants another chance against Matt Hardy, Turner says he'll think about it) (A) (Batista's music hits and he enters the ring) Batista:Goldberg....Turner! You guys happy now? You got your precious little belt back! Now I'm not stupid I've been doing this for a while now and I know a screw job when I see one! That 3 count last night was fast and you both know it! I knew there was a reason you hired that slime bag Earl Hebner, hell Taker even warned me. Well I've only got one choice left, I want my rematch and I want it now! (Turner comes out) Tuner: I'll be happy to oblige! You lose and that's it though Batista, no title shot for a year. I can't have you hogging the main event scene getting beaten every night! Tenay: There you have it, tonight we're going to see a rematch from last nights Halloween Havoc main event. (A) (A vignette is shown of the teams last encounter to hype the match) (A) The Kliq vs The Radicalz - WCW World Tag Team Titles Benoit dominates Hall early with 9 german suplexes. He locks on an ankle lock but Hall reaches the ropes. Benoit makes the tag to Eddie but referre Nick Patrick doesn't see it and orders Benoit back in. Hall tags out and Nash connects with a big boot to send Benoit crashing down to the mat. After several elbow drops Nash picks up Benoit and delivers the snakes eyes. Eddie slaps Benoit on the back and tags himself in, Nick Patrick acknowledges it but Benoit doesn't know he's not the legal man. Eddie grabs Nash for and wraps him up in a schoolboy, Benoit pushes Guerrero off thinking they'll get DQ'd. Confused Eddie releases Nash, Patrick gives Benoit one more chance... Benoit is stunned.... Raven jumps out from the Corel Center crowd and smashes a chair over Hary's skull, he places an unconcious Nash ontop of V1 and alerts referee Nick Patrick for the tainted win. The Kliq & DDP via pinfall 16:30 (A) Tenay: Well after last weeks proceedings we still haven't seen or heard from Earl Hebner, There are many people here in WCW that feel he owes an explanation for what he did last week. Savage: Well it didn't suprise me Tenay I told you he was a worthless piece of trash when Turner hired him. Ventura: (Sarcastically) I think that's why he hired him Macho Man Tenay: Well it looks like Hebner isn't going to show up as it appears Nick Patrick is coming back out to officiate the main event. Ventura: This place has been getting very wierd lately..... Tenay: Well there's something going on and we'll get to the bottom of it! (A Hype video is played for the Goldberg vs Batista feud) (A) ![]() Bill Goldberg & Sting vs Batista & Randy Orton ![]() ![]() ![]() With Orton the only one selling the match really relies on playing of the crowd, Sting woooos for what seems like an eternity before hitting the Stinger Splash on Orton, Sting locks in the Sharpshoooter......
