Loosely based on Powerguys New War scenario. But editted to be made more difficult. http://totalsportssimulations.com/p...pic.php?p=25#25
Paul Heyman approached Vince McMahon and asked for his release. McMahon had no major use for Heyman, his only worry was how Heyman would help out his major competitors, TNA. After Heyman agreed to a release clause of not being able to work for TNA in any capacity for 5 years, Vince agreed to let Heyman go. But this all turned out to be part of Heyman’s master plan as he had already been approached by a mystery financial backer to begin a brand new promotion called World Class Combat. WWE got complacent and offered Christian & Chris Benoit a low deal as they felt they had no competition and the stars would have to accept as they had little other options. Both wanted more then stuck in the midcard of WWE and decided to up sticks and leave WWE. Paul Heyman approached Christian & Chris Benoit about WCC and they both decided with Heyman holding the book, it was going to be a better bet joining WCC then TNA. Heyman also used the contacts he’d earned during his time with WWE to find out that a handful of WWE staff have loopholes in their contracts that allow them to leave. Heyman approached the ones he wanted, some accepted, some rejected. But once he’d made these approaches, it started to become public knowledge, suffice to say, McMahon wasn’t pleased. Heyman decided to make it official and announced the group of guys he had gathered together for WCC. Chris Benoit Christian Spanky Paul Burchill Abyss Brother Ray Deadly Brother Devon Deadly Brian Hebner Chad Patton Tony Shiavone Paul Heyman promised many signings from the independent circuit and also possibly a few surprises also. But Vince had one last card up his sleeve. On giving Heyman his release, in the contract Vince slipped in an extra clause. That Heyman was not allowed to book any other promotion for the next 10 years. This was a major problem for WCC, Heyman and the mystery owners. Having Paul Heyman as a booker was the main reason this promotion began and the reason so many people decided to join. Paul Heyman didn’t earn the title of genius by just giving up he found away around the solution. He hired someone to be his monkey, to book the company for him, with Heyman assisting. He hired Richard Dunn. But to stop himself being attacked by WWE lawyers, Heyman to make sure he himself wasn’t seen to be involved in the booking so he did actually have to back off. While the situation was not ideal, it did give the chance for Heyman to be involved more in an on-air role. Another problem was created, people like Christian & Chris Benoit had signed a long term contract based on the fact that they would be working under Paul Heyman. Can Richard Dunn win them over? Great show, great storylines.
Except the Backseat Boyz. Cabana and Punk shoulda been mainstay champions to elevate themselves, and the belts, to the levels of AMW and Team 3D. But overall, great job. |

Thanks for the feedback guys. Greatly appreciated.
I'm doing around 1,400,000 viewers on PBS. I took the titles off the Saints & put them on the Backseat Boyz for a reason which will become more clearer in the next few shows. I'd also like to say I promise I'd already wrote the next show before I read the comment about Savage. Great minds and all that ![]() Last edited by Dunny : 11-10-2005 at 09:33 AM. |
