You're not booking matches for TV - you're booking them for your live touring shows - so yes, you should advance book, same as for every 'event'.

b: Does it have any effect other than making them like you & better backstage?

Yeah, Japanese promotions (and Lucha does this too or at least CMLL does) broadcast their live events on weekly TV- usually a few months later- as a "sampler". Much like ECW's syndicated show (pre-TNN), or to a lesser extent UFC Unleashed. Like Unleashed, they'll usually show one or two early card fights and a big fight. And if you're lucky, they'll make that big fight a title match.

On a side note, seeing a commercial with Mutoh modeling PINK WORK OVERALLS was almost as entertaining as some of the matches in the AJPW B-Banquet DVD I have.

Workers loyal to an owner (not sure about booker but it would make sense) are less likely to leave a promotion when approached by another company. Obviously you get a backstage bonus too. Not sure if it works like protege and you get some sort of personality shift or not.

I've seen loyalty form in various ways. Getting someone clean can have that effect (although it can have the opposite effect too!), siding with one of the workers who have been in a backstage incident/fight/argument can sometimes create a positive relationship. It can also arise from the backstage bonding stories, although I don't actually remember one occuring with my user character. I've got a vague feeling that it might happen from signing someone's relatives or friends too, but I may have just made that one up - I can't remember!

Workers can also be loyal to a promotion although it only active in Japan in the C-Verse IIRC. Lots of Japanese workers have preset loyalty to certain companies ex. Pride Koiso to PGHW. Also when a company signs a younger worker I think >23 they will become loyal to that company which usually means they are with that promotion until they retire, and/or possibly if they get to popular and leave, although I'm not sure as I've never actually seen it happen. And promotional loyalty has no baring on backstage atmosphere that i have noticed.

This is true. MJ mentioned he was in the US though, so I figured he probably just meant between workers (unless he turned on loyalty for the US of course). Always good to know though

Jay Chord has loyalty to MAW too, so I'm fairly sure it's not a purely Japanese mechanic.

Jay Chord is loyal to Rip Chord (through their blood relative relationship), not the company itself. Similarly Nicky Champion is a protege to Sam Strong and is less likely to leave, and the DeColts/Stones are more difficult to hire for similar reasons.

In Japan a worker who is loyal to a company will not sign with anyone else, regardless of who the owner/booker is. It is formed in the way that Bull mentioned. It can, however, be turned on for the other areas in the Game World -- Area Setup section of the pre-game editor. You can also set the areas in which young lions (another particularly Japanese phenomenon) are active.

Didn't see that, I skimmed through and saw him mention a Japanese dojo and assumed he was dealing with Japan, so I figured I'd just add to what you said.

None at all, I'm not even sure why you're allowed to. It'll just stay there forever because you'll never be able to book it (unless you change to a regular schedule and keep the show).

Is there a way to see who has tag teams with who on your roster before actually signing someone? ? Thanks.

On the worker profile, click on Personal. That will list any established tag teams the given worker has and how much experience.

You can also go to 'add team'. There it'll show you the tag teams you have on your roster that you have not yet put together...

Cheers guys. So what you're telling me is loads of stuff can make folks loyal, but it is largely based on their personallity?

I spose that kinda makes sense. I mean, if I was a newly debuted worker and one of the largest promotions in the world turned up the day after my debut and offered me a contract and to relocate me I'd probably be pretty loyal too

If I have a live TV Show on Saturday and a PPV once a month on Sunday, would it be better to allow the wrestlers who are going to be featured at the pay per view a small role like an angle or just give them the night off when the pay per view comes? I've never really gotten any complaints about over-working them yet and I'll have them wrestle in the general area to avoid killing them with touring.
