A question about purchasing titles

Are you only allowed to purchase titles that were available from the start of your game?

I ask this because in my game, Ring Of Honor has been out of business for three months now, and I have yet to see any of their titles appear available for purchase.

No. I wanted to, but didn't have the funds. They just went out of business.

That's a good question though. I know they couldn't in previous versions, but with AI promotions being able to do so much on their own this year, I wonder if they could. Didn't see any mention of it in the diary, but I might of missed it.

This was fixed in one of the patches, make sure you are using the latest patch by heading down to the Tech Support forum and getting it from there.

Just added the latest patch, and their titles are still nowhere to be found.


Guess I'll have to give up on purchasing them. No biggie.

Me too, does it just work for companies that go bust after the patch?

You have to start a new game for patch changes to take effect.

Not exactly true. The effects of the patch will work in the future but it can't go back and fix things that have already happened. So ROH is dead and gone, but if WWE were to mysteriously die tomorrow their titles would be available to purchase.

Is this 100% accurate? I've always been under the impression that patches make it so problems fixed wont reoccur in save games. Do you always have to create a new game? I've been playing TEW for all these years and if that hasn't been the case, the patch updates haven't even worked for me because I never create a new game.
