Hi, i just downloaded the game, looks great! How do you tell if a QB that you are recruiting is an Option QB? On another note, how would i tell if my current qb can run the option?
Hope these aren't dumb questions.. thanks |

Not any question is a dumb question ever.
For an Option QB i would look at this: - First, in the player card he should be listed as "Mobile QB". - Second, his instincts should be over 50, the more the better so he will know when to run himself. - Third, he must be good at running and also have good speed and acceleration. Let's say a mix of QB and RB. |

For recruting purposes, I'd look for a QB(a) or even be open to converting a RB(a) who has decent throwing. Also I wouldn't consider anyone who runs over a 4.60 40 to run the option, and I'd suggest a QB who's throwing is rated at least 50 and who's running is 75 or above. I recruited a QB last night with a 99 running. I didn't need him, just felt like I couldn't let a guy with a 4.37 40 and a 99 running go.

I started a new recruiting campaign last night and came across a guy like that...might be the same guy (LOL)...#1 Player Over-all with a 10 interest and I landed him.
QB(A) 6'1-199 4.26 "40" 3.5 GPA,1,200+ exam, 90+ running...Looks like he has the skills for multiple other positions (RB,WR,CB,KR,PR) I didn't need him and also landed another Top 30 QB that fits my system better. I don't run an option nor do I plan to. I have no idea what I'm going to do with him but that's a good problem. LOL -Kevin |

It is a good problem. Every other year I seem to find a QB(a) who runs like a deer that starts out as a 1/5 QB but converts to a 4/8 RB or 3/7 WR. If I have >15 scholarships in a year I always try to grab one of these guys.
